The irrelevant and unnecessary new Mitchell characters need a convoluted reason to hang about in Albert Square. How about this one for starters: the tedious ‘ladies man’ character gets Penny up the duff? Obviously he will require living accommodation on the Square (can’t live outside of the immediate area) and a job at the garage, working for someone he’s only distantly related to. The slaphead dad will buy the car lot for no clear reason and will buy a house on the square.

Wait for the convoluted storyline reasoning for these irrelevant new Mitchells to stick around Albert Square. The slaphead will suddenly decide to buy into a business then buy a property. The two boring sons will, inevitably, move in.

Why is Laila Morse back? She can’t act and her character is irrelevant.

Denny Rickman will never know his daughter Alyssa Lennox. Dennis will never get to meet his granddaughter or had a chance to raise Denny with Sharon and be Alyssa's grandfather.
