I do miss the more detailed explanations into the background on how each sketch was created, and other useful tidbits, in previous years as opposed to this year. It would be great if you brought that back!

I identified so hard with the German exchange student sketch. First time I went as a high school student with two yrs of German and every single one of these things happened to me. Then I moved back later and … I’m afraid I became an avid hiker 🥴
And the dream sketch made me giggle the whole way through, but the final punchline had me on the actual floor. You guys are genius.
Brilliant. I admire how Arms can "lose" 10 years off his age by giving himself a gormless-looking fringe (eg. Irish lad at US embassy).
He also makes his face different. Dumb, but rather sweet.
He can loose even more years by playing Barry. It's fascinating!
So my grandma is part German, part Jewish, part Polish and from what my mum told me she was (and still is) exactly Anne. I was on a call this month with a person from India and we started talking about comedy, and turned out they are a fan too and one raised by Anne as well. Apperently most Indian mums are Anne with various degrees of blackmail and occasional health complains. Another person from the US joined the call and so we introduced them to your videos and they saw a lot of Anne in their mother.
Are we all raised by Annes?
Yes, yes we are. Though I had thought till now it was because my mum was of Irish extraction.
Is this when I should say that my mum is literally called "Anne"?

As a Ukrainian who shared your "Russian map maker" to all my Ukrainian friends and all of them were laughing hard - I can say you've done terrific with this topic and the sketch! Hi. This year was horrible for me (I'm russian opposition, 50/50 ethnically, living in EU). And this video and the one about the drafting... They made me laugh sincerely. You honestly made it so good that it stopped hurting for some time and kept me going trying to repair at least part of the damage caused by these people.

Oh my gosh I absolutely loved that gardening skit-- that "they're more afraid of you than you are of them" bit with the bee was absolutely brilliant!
Influencer Dad in Family Therapy was another favorite of mine. A new coworker who dislikes social media and whose first child was born recently joined my company and I shared that with him. He LOVED it.

It’s always fun seeing these yearly round ups & seeing which you’ve chosen as your top ten, but I think my favourite part is seeing how the sketches still make you guys laugh 😄
I mean they can't just laugh on camera and expect us to focus on everything else 😂
Arms trying to seamlessly talk the sketches together resulting in gems like "He DIDN'T go to prison, unlike the NEXT character... " top naff, hilarious! Is there an extended cut coming up with more chatting about sketches though because I was looking forward to loads of anecdotes ;-)

My favorite one is definitely The exchange student in Germany, because it was my first FAH sketch. It was forwarded to me by a colleague because I worked and lived in Germany for almost 3 years (I actually wasn't watching CZcams at all, so there is no way I could have learn about you from a CZcams recommendation). The sketch was so funny and spot on, I think I rewatched it 10 times in a row when I first saw it 😄 I even experienced a few situations from the sketch in a real life 😂 The only difference is that in my case a lot of Germans were not fond of speaking English, so I had to manage with my then not so good German skills 😁

What a year! THANK YOU for being Foil, Arms and Hog, for your constant creativity in writing brilliant sketches, your full commitment to improve your production quality, your courage to explore and expand, your amazing and still improving skills in acting, singing, entertaining on stage and last but not least your generosity and openness towards your audiences. Going abroad to see Hogwash, meeting new FAHn-friends on the way, trying to cope with meeting my idols... it was sometimes emotionally exhausting, and I caught some kind of virus both times. Made me wonder how you guys find the strength and resilience to tour so much... Love you to bits and wish you nothing but the best for 2023!

9. Every immigration because I can't pick 😂
10. The Earth is dying... or the earth and moon have a fight.... Or the priest goes for a new job... Or any of the Snob ones... Or literally any sketch because I love them all and you did such a great job this year lads 😭
Okay mental breakdown over, I suppose as you can see, I'm partial to a bit of terrorising from Gran 😁

@@SamFAHntha good technique! So much thought 😂 (I wonder if this is how the lads decided too...😄). I went with - I'll just add my favourites to a creme de la creme playlist throughout the year. Then I needed a creme de la creme b-side playlist. Ok, top 20, I can work with that... Only I had more than 30 sketches and I forgot to add anything after October... so... next year I'll be going the 10 minute method. They are all my favourite!!

Some of my favourites in there too, and I cannot fault your number one. I thought at the time - and still do - that it's something really special. You should be particularly proud of that one.
But Lads, I don't even know where to begin. Little did I know when I clicked on that random video CZcams suggested to me ten months ago... I think the short version is, thanks for changing my life. It's as little and as big a thing as that. Here's to another great year!

Foil: You're one of the most incredible, gentle, smart and caring people I have ever met. Frankfurt was my fave meet. If you will allow me Sir, I intend on adoring you forever.
Arms: Again Frankfurt, where you shown how much you love joking over being jealous if my fondness for Foil. "I should look mad" Hilarious!
Hog: We haven't spoke apart from saying 'Hi' in Exeter but you are def an amazing actor, esp in Hogwash.
Whoever will meet them in 2023 for the 1st time is in for a treat. Hopefully we see each other too then.

I even managed to post a comment on the day I had surgery as well as the day I found out I got Covid!
I've commented from hospital beds, hotel and hostel rooms and the outdoor cabin thing that serves as the break room at work!
I've also seen you live 4 times and have made many wonderful friends through the FAHndom who I treasure every day!
2022 has been a mixed year for me with both bad and good but you three have definitely been part of the better times this year!

Anyway, 2022 was a difficult year for me. It's when I had the lowest point of my life. Too many tears and hardships this year, but fortunately these sad tears turned into tears of joy. Blessed and very grateful for these past few months. Either way, I've been watching these videos whenever I have a stressful or happy day. It's so great knowing this channel and reading comments of your wonderful fans! Thank you for being such amazing people!

Aww, so glad you've had such a good year! Thanks for all the laughs along the way. You did a great job with the Scottish-isms. Really clever stuff. Nice to hear a bit more about how it got written. Lovely to see each of the recurring characters making it into the top ten too. The Indian Immigration was also a surprise hit for me, not just cos Scotland got mentioned but some great (surprisingly topical) jokes in there too. Russian Map Maker was great, really looks like a film. I love the political ones so for me Politics The Board Game would have to be in there as it was an instant classic IMO. I also really enjoyed the If Governments were Ships one and When Your Family Gets an Energy Bill - it's great when you can use these well-known and set-up characters to comment on something topical. Thanks for all the fabulous new content that's kept us laughing all year. I hope you're having a fun and restful festive period and wish you all the best for 2023!

Seeing you live for the first time was among the best things that happened in 2022 - the best laughs I had were either watching Hogwash, the Thursday sketches or your Patreon content. I can‘t believe my first full year of FAHning is almost over (FAHniversary on Oct30). This has been the first Top10 compilation where I have seen all sketches on their premiere dates. I have been travelling quite a bit this year, so I am often times also connecting a sketch with the place where I have seen it for the first time, so this review also had some additional layer of personal reflection for me. Thank you for a great year with lots of fun Thursday, hilarious extra content on Patreon and most important amazing gigs around Europe! I'm so happy to see Hog finally after few weeks to be there. I like your choices of sketches, maybe my favourite on this list is How Dreams are made, but others are also very good. It was wonderful year, especially because I saw your show in Vienna, it was wonderful. 😊

Vienna show was fantastic! My fave bit was RC3 rolling around the floor, really hamming it up for his death scene. Foil must have really been feeling it that evening, as he gave it more than in Munich😂

This is such a lovely video. A great end to a great year. Foil looks amazng, btw. He is my absolute favourite.
I really like the sketches, I feel one that is missing, or one that I probably haven't found is how the Irish are able to talk an ear off at any situation.
I have two Irish friends, and it is incredible, there is no such thing as a short conversation. It is not unpleasant at all, but I am always amazed at how much time has passed.
The only inconvenience being when you have to rush somewhere.
I love the videos you've chosen for the top 10. The one you've chosen to be number one definitely deserves to be number one.
I only want to thank you for all the videos and content you've created this year.
I'm also happy I could go to several live shows and I could meet some FAHns.

A wonderful review of this year's FAH highlights (and a wonderful "doomdah")! 🥰 FAH's comedy and the FAHndom provided some of the only bright spots in an otherwise gloomy year. [Two things that would have made this better - on the unlikely chance FAH is reading this: 1. In this video the sound wasn't well balanced between the sketches and introductory bits, but went from loud to quiet and back again. 2. Did you cut out some of the banter between sketches? Leave it in! FAHns enjoy hearing about how you chose your Top Ten, and fun anecdotes about the making of the sketches. (Patreon content maybe?) 😊]
