    I'm Jason, a full-time British Travel Vlogger and CZcamsr who's been to 53 countries. I've been travelling around the world full-time since 2017. So far, my trips have taken me to Asia, Africa, Europe, the Middle East and the Americas.
    I have travel series' from many of the world's best (and least) known destinations. I filmed the first vlogs on my channel in the summer of 2016 after spending a year living in China. A proper solo trip around Eastern Europe followed after graduating from University in the summer of 2017, taking me to Hungary, Romania, Bulgaria, North Macedonia and Kosovo. This trip marked the start of my efforts to make a CZcams full-time job.
    After that European trip I went heavily into exploring Asia, visiting India, Bangladesh, Malaysia, Indonesia, Singapore, Vietnam, Cambodia, Thailand, Pakistan, the Philippines, South Korea and Kazakhstan (seeing me cover a lot of Far East and Southeast Asia in particular).
    I have also travelled to North Africa and the Middle East fairly extensively over the last five years, filming videos in Turkey, Algeria, Tunisia, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Kuwait, Iraq, Jordan, Israel and Palestine.
    To date, I have not yet been to Australasia or South America. Though I am hoping to visit the latter sometime in 2022, along with a first stop in the Caribbean.
    I've travelled to North America just once as a CZcamsr, visiting Mexico in 2021. Though I have been to both the USA and Canada, this was only as a child on family holidays.
    In 2022, I took my first trip to Sub Saharan Africa, visiting both Kenya and Tanzania.

    Africa is totally different in reality than the stereotype western media. Great job on walking around and showing us Tanzania.

      @B45 Come on..You know thats a lie🤦‍♀️. Media has been known to ignore the positive side of Africa while exaggerating the negative side. Its evident in the way they issue travel advisories to these other countries while the insecurity in their country is just as much. But good thing the internet is helping break these stereotypes one at a time.

    • @klettode
      @klettode Před rokem +5

      @B45 first in Germany they consider Africa as a country and secondly the most of them know that there is any kind of development form there. That people live primitively and are even like that. When they then make the experience that many africans here are educated and graduated, they ask themselve if we have learnt everything from here. that is the consequence of showing only one side of a continent.

    Top tip, I grew up in Dar es Salaam and if you do want to bring a painting back with you, just ask the artist to take it off the wooden frame and then they will roll it up for you and you can easily ask to bring the individual pieces of wood with you or just buy them in your home country. Its super easy and we would send friends and family back with the paintings all the time

Also try an exploration to Mbeya and Mwanza city. On that note I will suggest you also visit Kilwa town since you seemed impressed with the catholic cathedral. Kilwa is one of the ancient places in the world. One of the oldest towns in Tanzania. This reminds me of the road trip I took in June 2021, from Dar es Salam, to Kilwa town, Lindi town to Mtwara and Songea. All are historical towns. I remember the tour guide telling that one of the oldest mosque is in Kilwa. It was amazing. Try it.

Especially loved the artist village. I’m looking for large pictures to decorate the flat. It’s a shame that our timings didn’t clash, my wife and I could’ve invited you round for dinner & hear your experience of your travels through Africa so far. My wife is from Dar. We haven’t visited Oyster Bay/Coco Beach as yet, so your video gave me some insight. My wife has been away from the country for some years, so we are both adapting here.
    We wish you all the best in your venture around Africa.

    13:35 there’s also a famous cartoon show in Kenya called ‘tingatinga tales’ where they use the same art style- its a vibrant mesh of different patterns and colors

    Man so many countries I am just before you or just after. Relaxing on the north end of coco beach is so great as a sundowner. You were there at the wrong.time. Was the guy who drew your picture a young man with a disfigured arm? He is there every day asking to draw people. Nice young man.
