I really don't understand why all the people are hating at the moment. Sure, the song may not be the exact same style like song xy, but it's good when a band is evolving and tries new things and new sound out. Chris even said at some point, that every Lotl Album has a different sound. Sure, some people may not like the new album as much as other albums from the band, but hating it because of that and spreading that hate in the comment section is just not okay in my opinion. Everything can be told in a civilized way and if one doesn't like this, he just has to go somewhere else and leave this for the persons who like, appreciate and enjoy it.
That said, I think Lord of the Lost have done an incredible job with the new album and it sounds awesome so far. Keep up the good work guys!
I'm definitely a metal head but never heard of this band and honestly just don't like what I heard.. I didn't care for their sound or singer but maybe they have other songs I would like.. there are a few bands out there that as a whole I don't care for but have songs that I love.

I am loving EVERYTHING that is coming out from this new album. The allegory, the visuals, the backstory. EVERYTHING. It is all so brilliant it makes me cry. Thanks for being an amazing inspiration.
After briefly scanning through the comment section, I feel the need to raise my voice, too. This song fkin slaps, the imagery is violently and well-chosen, albeit hard to digest and understand. Mr. Harms can sing to me anyday :D
I love how this played on the issues of sexuality and gender identity, this tackles taboos but remains supportive. Love the song too, it's so rich in sound and so impactful!

Not sure if I am falling victim to "overinterpretation" but there is so many possible messages in the video, especially considering the christian background of the symbols used - typical case of language teachers telling you, that the artist used blue as a color because he wanted to express his connections with the ocean and the deep mysteries of his life - well, yeah, either that or the artist simply wanted it blue.
Blue is the color for something pure. Holly mary is often represented wearing blue. (Sorry if my english is wrong )
LotL is *easily* one of my favorite bands; I truly have never been disappointed by or disliked any of their music, and I can already tell that this album will be on repeat indefinitely. Still holding out hope that I'll get to see them live one day!! Thank you guys so very much for sharing your souls with us through these pieces of art ♡

At the really beginning at I was like, what's going on in the video, but then first chorus started and I understood everything. It's very clever to show this kind of image and lyrics. Unfortunately not many people apparently do listen to the lyrics carefully, if they do get angry from missunderstanding a whole picture of this video. Great music, meaning, video. LOTL do never dissapoint! :)

Ive watched this now several times and I can not, even though I want to, understand the background of this video, the one thing that connects all shown costumes/make-ups. But that's the only thing to criticize.
LOTL, as always, the colors/graphics in this video are amazing and I am in love with this beauty...the only other band that, in my opinion, has these great and aesthetic shots, is SKYND.
This video is disgusting and beautiful, ugly and aesthetic, loud and quiet, full of colors and impressions and yet so clear, extreme and yet so normal, complex and yet so easy. And all of that at the same time.
There are not many bands that produce these kinds of videos.
So I'm just writing this to say thank you for this beauty and to give you the most utmost respect. Not for the music, but for all the stuff around ;) I truly doubt you'll read this but keep on doing the great work. Ah, who knows! You also react in the comment section under most of the reaction-videos.

I'm not sure there is one thing that connects everything in this video, but it's heavily influenced by the Rocky Horror Picture Show (quoted at the end of the credits).

Poeple who know lotl know they do what they like.they are not trying To be unique, they do what matter for them .why is it a problem if others think it is generic? if the sound is good i like it. And it is hard to do something nobody did with so many bands. Why is it a lack of inspiration ? You don't know the work behind it. I prefer hestethic than complexity . For me as a person interested in the bible i find it interesting ,there is nothing against religion , just a story that inspired them. I have no words. This is perfect BEYOND perfection (and I am REALLY TOUCHED by your explanation for this video and song).

At first i thought this song was too musical (as music movies use) and theatrical, that it can be interesting only in visual key. Actually, after 2nd and 3rd listening it feels like a good, powerhorse and catchy track.
About lyrics i think it must be viewed from POW of demoniac/anti-christian:
Author in song ( from POW of devil?) tells Judas that he was bounded by religious frames and as only he can decide what is true (draw the lines). So Judas broke his disciple framework "to free" himself from this limitations.
In 2nd verse it is told that Judas decided for himself (from biblical perspective, it is the devil, who entered and possesed Judas) to betray. Burning the throne is like defying the fate of disciples, to sit with God in His Kingdom as judges of nations. Sculpture and stone meaning remains unknown to me (help needed from Pi and Chris).
In chorus there is implying (?) that Judas found a faith/discovered a "truth" about how things run, so he betrays heaven and became "free" from shame and guilt, embracing it as natural. Something like embracing his true self. One of main christian ideas from teachings of Jesus in gospels is that you need to defy yourself and be born again, but the Judas "stayed true" to himself. I think it is the whole idea of song, Gospel of Judas is not to repent and not to rely on Saviour/Christ but to defile the concept of sin and to embrace and love yourself as you and others are (need confirmation from authors).
In 3rd verse it is told, that now Judas as master of himself defining what is right or wrong things, so he dances with devil and so on. Don't know what is burning score though.
At last verse it is told that everyone blaming Judas, but it is really Judas, who revealed some "truth" and now free, opposing to those who don't, who hollow the Saviour (disciples, christians, religious people etc.)
All of this aligns with the Gospel of Judas. I recommend looking it up, it's interesting.
