All of the comments are very helpful. I just had my range delivered today. I'm kinda old school when it comes to frying food, but I'm ready to experiment with the air fryer feature.
Me too! I received it today as well 💯 I technically use the good old pan and lots of oil for frying food, but it should be much easier with the air fryer feature.
If you buy an amazon air fry tray, it comes with cookie-like-tray underneath the air fry rack. Works without oven mess, but not as well because you need more space between the air fry rack and the tray for better air circulation. I bought the samsung rack also. If you spray the rack with cooking spray (while its in cookie sheet) then put the rake in the oven on one rack with cookie sheet in rack below and warm up for 5 minutes, then take out rack and add food, there will be little or no mess to clean up. I don't flip the food which also keep rack mess to minimum. Lowering temperature to 350-400 will help inside of food cook as well as outside of food.

Thank you. Just got my new range 2 days ago. Not used to air frying so I am anxious to try it. I got my Samsung range from Best Buy and all the accessories came with it (air fryer tray, griddle, etc.) I just need to figure out how long I am supposed to air fry things (such as fresh cut potatoes, or fresh chicken wings, pork chops, etc ). I will get it figured out but thanks for the demo.
I just found the air fryer user guide for this range complete with approximate times for various types of foods. It was on Samsungs website and I was able to download it.
Just got my yesterday. Waited 2 months for it. Cannot get it flush against the back wall. I noticed yours appears like that too. Have you figured a way to get it flush in the back against the wall?
I find it helpful to spray the tray with cooking spray before using to make cleanup easier. To clean, I use a scrub brush to get baked on crumbs from the mesh and just by running water and brushing it comes clean surprisingly easily! The way this tray evenly evenly cooks food makes the cleanup worthwhile!
Thank you for this video‼️ My daughters gave me this Samsung stove for Christmas. I had no idea how to use it. There is no manual, no air fry tray🤷🏽♀️. Your video is a game changer‼️God bless you🕊💙🙏🏾
I bought this range; one like it. It was advertised to have the air fry with it. I go to Lowe's they don't have it with the same model that said it did. So, my temper made me just walk out of there. I ended up buying the rack from Amazon. Can anyone tell me where to buy the one like is being used in the video? I love this and want to make sure air frying doesn't become a chore. Old school here but wanting to get outside that comfy box. lol. I have the Samsun range the works with wifi; we bought it 3 months ago. It has self-clean and steam clean also if that helps with the model. Or...are they pretty much interchangeable and will fit universally with the racks?
To air fry a whole turkey, would you recommend brining it first? I find conflicting comments online. Also if you use the air fryer tray on level 3 from Samsung for the whole turkey, would the cookie sheet be enough to catch drippings at level 2? I just don't see how the air can circulate underneath the turkey if it is in a roasting pan as you described with making two whole chickens.
Absolutely brine the bird! I always go with my fave chef/butcher friend Peter Sanagan’s advice and explains the steps here… www.stephaniedickison.com/articles/2019/10/5/secret-recipe-sanagans-roast-turkey-with-stuffing You’ll need to adjust the racks depending on the size of the bird. I bought a new roasting pan with a low profile to get as much air circulation as possible for browning. Of course the top will brown first. With the chickens I flipped them half way thru. Let us know how yours turns out!
Thanks for asking! The glass top is surprisingly durable but to avoid scratches stop the temptation to slide your cookware across the surface. Lift instead. I bought new pots and pans that have nice smooth bottoms (no cast iron) and fit either the small burner or the large one. 6-1/2 or 7 inch for the small burner and 10 or 12 inch for the large. I use Bar Keepers Friend brand Multipurpose Cooktop Cleaner on the glass occasionally to keep the glass nice. It acts like a kind of wax to keep particles from sticking and causing scratches.
I just got this stove myself, using the air fryer I feel like the outside gets very crispy but the inside doesn’t cook as well, even when I flip the food over. Is anyone else having that issue?
When you hit the air fry button on the range what’s the next step? Mine blinks three times and then goes out. I also don’t see the air fry option through the app.
Hi Destiny, I have not had that problem with mine. Press the Air Fryer button and the display should flash 425. Then use the up and down arrows to set a different temp if needed. Then press START, and that's it! For the SmartThings app, choose Range and under Mode it says Bake. Tap on Bake and you should see Air Fry as the last option. If you are still having problems try unplugging the range and plugging it back in. Let us know!
It’s not a pan, it’s more of a grill. The hot air can reach all sides of the food with it. You use a regular pan on a rack below to catch drips. One advantage is that you don’t really have to flip the food.
You won't need wifi to use the air fryer feature, but you should turn it on regardless. Load the app and follow the instructions to join your home wifi with its password. It's easy! To use the air fryer, select it using the dial knob on your Samsung gas range.
Does the range need to come temperature? My range usually shows progression of temp then signals when temp is arrived. Not so in the air fryer setting.
Yes it will show the temperature gradually rise starting at 175 degrees, same as the other settings. If you get the Samsung app it will notify your phone when it’s ready to cook! Next set the cook timer and it will again notify your phone when time’s up and then it will safely shut itself off too! I love that!!
Just recently got this stove and tried to air fry two steaks. I had a stone cookie sheet underneath to catch all the grease. When I opened the door a huge puff of smoke came out and the grease on the cookie sheet was burning. The steaks were nowhere near done. Any recommendations?
Gee, I had not thought of trying to air fry steak! If that’s the result then try using the Broil feature which is the conventional heating element at the top of the oven, rather than the air fryer feature. Let us know the results!
Let’s say someone at home leaves the stovetop burner on and walks away forgetting to turn it off. Will it notify you via your app? And if you were out of the house at work for instance could you turn everything off remotely?
Good questions! Yes and no. The stovetop has physical controls that the app cannot over ride, BUT you can see if it is on or off (any or all burners) using the app. For the oven YES you can set up a mode like bake at 350 for 30 mins but then have to physically press the button on the stove to START the routine. You can STOP the oven at anytime using the app since the oven has digital control. Nice engineering!
