- Here it is, a full tour of our floating home, a Fusion 40 catamaran, a performance cruiser I guess you would call her. From sail plan to navigation and layout, although look out for Kaia who hijacked our tour midway with one her own!
She is home to the three of us including little Kaia, our two and a half year old who has never lived on land.
This tour has been long overdue so we decided to fast track this episode (even though its out of order) to introduce you to Rio.

Great boat tour and some of your additions are pure genius, but Kaia was the star of the show.

Love this! Thank you...we're looking at Cats now, and this was very enlightening. We're in NZ, so there's not a lot that come on the market, and seeing an impressive Fusion for the first time means we may need to take a trip across the ditch. Keep posting team, we love this!
thanks very much. we love her of course, but find the fusions to be a great sailing cat even upwind. depending on sea state we can sail comfortably in the high 30 degree range before dropping some speed at around 32-34 degrees apparent. not bad for a catamaran. good luck in your search !

Hands down the best fusion 40 tour I've come across. you have no idea how curious i've been about that helm position and if you could see -anything- without sticking your head out of the hatch. you're the first folks I've seen even mention it. I also loved how you rolled with Kaia hijacking the flow. absolutely adorable, great tour and great parenting!

Love the Fusion 40 and Rio is schmick! My only issue when sailing one was the helm position when actively sailing. For long cruising not such an issue and you have made some fine adaptations. Oh, kids and animals. You of all should know better. Consider yourself a supporting cast from now on.
Thanks for that. Yes, the helm position can be tricky in closed waters and berthing in marinas but does pay off when you are sailing out in the open and you are completely out of the weather, great for cruising too as you said.
And supporting cast alright, or just here to carry the bags as I say to Mari haha

It really depends on the forecast conditions but we roughly calculate using an average of 170 to 200 nm per day

Thanks mate, very kind of you. We love her. She sails well. The fridge and freezer are Vitrfrigo . They recently upgraded the models so the older ones are cheaper now. About 1000- 1500 each I think...

You are not too far off there. Denham was with channel 9 for 14 years and did some work for 60minutes, then worked with channel 7 for the last 9 years doing documentaries and now he is full-time captain who will continue some freelance work casually when not on the way of our sailing hehe
