  • Wilson Combat 92G Brigadier Tactical, highly recommended pistol! Very well made, wilson combat went through this with a fine tooth comb making a lot of small changes which turned this into an exceptional firearm!

    I bought one in January of 2016 and have been astounded at how well this pistol performs. I am spoiled in that this is the only Beretta 92 I have fired. It is unbelievably accurate. The rest is a little long and if you are being lazy it can lead to you slamming back the trigger if you are shooting really fast but that's not the guns fault, it's mine. I have shot clay pigeons on a haystack at 50 yards, and beer cans at close to 80 (it often took several fired rounds to make a hit especially on the cans, but you can tell what this pistol is capable of) much to the amazement of my friends. This would be like the Maclaren F1 of duty pistols. Reliable as hell and capable of whatever you can do at any time. It's a big gun, so concealed carry would be hard on my body style unless it's the winter time and depending on the holster you used. This thing would really reign supreme in the competition world though, especially as it qualifies as unmodified. My only complaint is the oversized slide stop. It is very easy to manipulate and functions the way it's supposed to. But I have large hands and my shooting hand thumb essentially rests on or very near it. It is not uncommon for the slide to not lock back after emptying a magazine. I have not sent the gun back to Wilson yet, but I imagine they could make it a touch stiffer if I asked. Other than that, I've put around 3 to 4000 rounds through this gem and I am so glad I purchased it. I know you will enjoy yours as well. In my opinion this is the apex of the Beretta 92 models out there.

    I liked mine so much I picked up another one. I also own two P226 Legion SAO. In comparing the two...the 92G is much smoother and the trigger (Action-tuned) has a lighter single action, but the P226 trigger break is much shorter. The lighter Beretta slide appears to move more quickly than the SIg slide. The Legion grips work better for me. Honestly, it's a close one . I favor the Sig Legion, but that's today. Tomorrow, I might be back on the WC 92G Brigadier band wagon. I have been flip-flopping for months. I know...pretty sad.

      Yes. It takes a few minutes to install.
      The bench worked trigger is a must have too, and the low profile WC decocking lever.
      I bought nine used PVD sand resist mags when WC had them available, around $20 each. Also got a dozen M9-A1 20rd mags (+2 MecGar bases).
      Can never have too many mags.
      Currently looking for a threaded barrel to run it suppressed, none available anywhere.

    Hey there - I have one of these on order and paid but have been waiting for quite a while. Just out of curiosity when did you place your order? Was it direct with Wilson. As far as I know these guns are manufactured at the Beretta plant and because they moved ops there was a production freeze hence why this really long delay and now huge backlog. Apparently Beretta builds them under Wilson's specs and then ships the products to Wilson Combat for distribution. The only mod Wilson is allowed to do at that point is an action tune and mag guide installation. Once the gun is transferred to an owner they may re-ship it back to Wilson for further customization. I was told they are 2000 guns back logged but Beretta is shipping them guns every month now so the backlog should catch up at some point. In the meantime I sent in my 92A1 to Wilson to customize to hold me over, hehehehe. Thanks for showing.

      TheOl1911 hey there! So I placed my order in September 2016 and just received mine the first week of June 2017. I was told by Wilson that they were waiting for blanks from Beretta like you said they were super backed up. But I was under the impression wilson gets blanks and fits them like their 1911 line, based on the fit and smoothness of the action if believe it, they are Night and day to a standard 92!!!:) hope yours arrives soon buddy, you'll love it!!!

    • @TheOl1911

      Thanks for the update - I called them and now being told for me I can either find a FFL online to get one faster or given the day I put my order in the ETA is January 2018?! They told me they are at the mercy of Beretta building these for them and although they get sizable shipments each month the backorder is monsterous at this time...ugh. My 92A1 should be back by August which will be cool but...not sure if I want to wait till January 2018 for the 92G. I might cancel and get one off Gun Broker...or just forget it as my 92A1 will be customized. Not sure! LOL thanks!

    Beretta builds these to Wilson Combat's specifications but they are delivered complete to WC from Beretta. WC does no fitting of the slide to frame or anything else for that matter. The only thing they will do is an action tune (trigger job) if you pay extra before they ship the gun to your FFL. I have the action tune on mine and it is totally worth it.

    • @PCCMike
      @PCCMike Před 6 lety

      Steven Straley that's not true whatsoever. They are sent an oversized slide and frame blanks and are hand fit and finished by Wilson. The slide and the frame are paired up and never separated so that slide is married to that frame.
