Welcome to our very first VLOG! We are so excited to take our friends and family along on this journey, but mostly love that we can keep these videos saved online to look back on and remember building our first home!
We're taking you along for our design appointment at the Pulte Homes Design Center in Dublin, OH! Today we picked out every detail for our house, exterior and interior!

We started this process a few months back and are breaking ground soon! We were in the same boat, had to choose what was worth upgrading and what we could save for later. So fun watching your journey too!

LOVE THIS SO MUCH! I cannot wait to watch this journey unfold. I love the idea of upgrading certain things right off the bat, while holding back on a few things that you can do yourself or down the road. Just make sure there's a room for me, mmmkay!?

Loved this video!! Can’t wait to see what it’s going to look like in the end!! I love that you guys are planning on customizing it and really making it your home after it’s built too! I hope one day my fiancé and I can do this. I would love to pick and choose everything we want in a house for our future family!! Except he’s a car guy so we’re gonna need a big garage 😂 and someone else said this but more Roman!! 😂 Some parts were hard to hear (thanks covid! Lol) but other than that 10/10 and definitely will be following along on this journey with you guys!
We’re in Sunbury and looking at building the Newberry as well. Only a few more lots left in the community! I just stumbled upon your video while searching for videos of the house layout. I’m anxious to watch the rest of them to see how it went and if you’re happy with the process and home! 😃

I'm getting a new townhome from Pulte in VA. Is there anything you wish now you would have added or not done at the design center?

We are building with Pulte in Texas, how long did it take to go from Design to Foundation?
Very cool! I just happened to stumble upon this video while doing my own Pulte research. Hopefully after this weekend I will have my own Dublin design center appointment set! I completely agree about choosing the laminate for the counters. It is such a simple upgrade that can be done later. Looking forward see how your build comes along.

Thanks so much for sharing this! Love your new home! One question I had was that you mentioned at the beginning of this video that if you have certain upgrades you want, they will add it to the initial contract. What happens if you change your mind during the process and decide not to upgrade? For example, if you included granite counter top at the time of contract but after the design appointment, you decide not to go with granite. Are you allow to do that? I hope this question makes sense.
Well, you can always get a price out at first and they’ll let you know the cost. But I don’t think after the design appointment that you can change anything because you sign a contract to lock everything in!
I’m Ohio too!! Our house is in the framing stage and hopefully getting the roof this week!

Are you happy with most of the choices you made to not upgrade? I'd love to know and hear more info on like wishes and regret in the building process.
I hope you continue to post updates on the progress of your home. I have a Pulte home currently under construction and as expected, I’m nervous. They missed the date for the slab pour. I hope this doesn’t continue to be a pattern.

They did not do a 3D, but maybe in the future they’ll have that capability!
This is strange, I just watched a negative review video on lots being sold by Pulte in Arizona.

Hi Renee! I came across your video looking for more information about building a Pulte home. I am actually looking to build one in the Columbus area as well! I was wondering if you wouldn’t mind giving me some more information about the design center via email?
I can give you some information if you are still interested. We are building in Powell and are in the framing stage.
I hope you guys saw the news story about this company they are getting sued for shoddy workman ship last I checked
They have the worst review. So many unfinished list. You should really see it. No way I would want one of those home's
So everyone watching this is going to ignor the string of lawsuits Pulte has and that they raise the price on you when the house is half way built? I am subscribing to see if y'all wise up.
Can you point me to any of that? I only found out about the builder recently.
Oh no!! We’ve had a great experience so far. Hopefully it doesn’t go down hill. So far so good!
@@rchapoteau Google: "Pulte Homes Lawsuits". They are all over. In booming areas the homes are built fast and wrong and that is if you get a house at all. You give them 30K and the prices goes up 20K before its built. Says on their paperwork they don't lock in prices.
We are currently building with Pulte and the price is locked into our contract
