Hopefully I'll have enough money for this when it comes out, otherwise I might have to pull a "Risky" move and "Pirate" this game.

I wouldn't say that, although I would say that the backers who put more than $2 million into the Oculus Rift would be better off getting their money back (if it's even possible) and donate it to this game.
Your excitement however I can completely understand because I want this game too and if it is a fantastic game when it's released, I will gladly buy this!

8-bit risky was the coolest one.
Ya know what would be cool? If Sky, Bolo, Rotty and Risky were all unlockable playable characters with their own respective play styles. I suspect this may be the case since Bolo is holding a flail.

Step it up, people! We're $37,041 away from the 900k goal. Iph all 18,558 just added 2 more dollars, we'd make it. And for three additional characters, that's so worth it!

I might sound a little rude for saying this, but is anyone else kinda disappointed the characters aren't very sexy anymore? I mean, it's not a terrible issue that ruins the game, and I love the more cute approach they seem to be taking, but still. It's slightly disappointing that we're getting an HD Shantae game and they made the characters less sexy :P

Shantae, pirates curse is being relieased on the 3ds, but what sucks is they arent keeping the series on portable consoles: 1/2 genie hero is being released on the wii u. so i have read on the wiki.

SInce they're gonna be playable. I have to ask. How will Bolo, Sky, and Rottytops play exatcly? I mean, I can see Bolo using his mace, and Sky probably having Wrench attack for her, but what about Rottytops? What can she use? A severed body part maybe? As for seperate abilities. Maybe Bolo can be strong and defensive but slow, like his head, you get it? For Sky, maybe she can use her birds to help her fly or glide temporarily and she probably be REALLY fast, but she won't be good with dealing damage. As for Rottytops, well, since she's a zombie, um....... maybe she jump onto enemies head and eat their brains to regain health, and maybe even turn them into a zombie and have them as an ally that can attack other eneimes, but she can only have one at a time, and she'll have low defense, cause, well, she's a zombie, they lose body parts all the time, so it would make sense for her to have low defense. What do you guys think?

So even if the kickstarter is over, does that mean that future donations are added to the total, and that future stretch goals could be unlocked? I doubt they are going to make us pay all the way... we did give them almost 800,000 dollars... If so, at the very least, the other stretch goals should be added as dlc (like playable characters, transformations and bonus chapters)... And since Christina Vee made the Opening theme (Dancing through the danger) I hope there will be voice acting... either way I'll probably end up buying the game regardless :p
At the end of the kickstarter. the totals were:
Kickstarter = $776,084.00
PayPal = $35,878.00
Total Pledges: $811,962.00

They gained about 36.000 (as of January 29 ) with paypal after the kickstarter ended. Still. The other stretch goals are far away with 900.000 (extra characters) being the closest.
As for DLC. It seems the problem is Wayforward's budget. Actually creating DLC costs money and they might not make that back with selling DLC. They rather not risk that. They might add the extra characters considering they are halfway funded already ,but other DLC will be more unlikely unless the game becomes very popular. That's my view on it.
I though the amount of donations entered the 936k range. Or am I mistaken.
Joy Davis The Paypal and backerkits went on for several months after the kickstarter ended. The final number was a $945,958 total, I believe. That's the last number I could find before they closed the paypal

I'd be more interested in going through as Rotty considering that twords the end we see pictures of Abner one of her brothers makes me think that Rotty would have the ability to summon her her brothers to help her destroy and clear obstacles such as calling Abner to destroy boulders or obstacles you would normally need Shantae's elephant form to get through

Yes. They are all different games.

DisgaeaMichael Not anymore sadly. Wayforward changed the release date cause they need more time to finish the game. They didn't even announce what the new release date is yet? Probably around 2016 honestly. They were even still working on Pirate's Curse when they announced Half Genie Hero. Well, at least we got a trailer from E3 2015. PLEASE announce an release date soon Wayforward. I can understand that you need time, but I would like to see a release date now.
