Don’t forget to subscribe for more videos about CORNWALL and Falmouth I sometimes visit St Ives Cornwall and Padstow Cornwall too. Come here for everything from travel recommendations to beach reviews such as Perranporth Beach Cornwall. I also LOVE EXPLORING Cornwall’s coast line and the South West Coastal Path. Thank you for watching and commenting and liking the video.
Hi Shaun, just did a 6 month trip around Australia in our little caravan, probably 2 months too long, anyway its good to get home and now I'm going to binge on Love Sundays, keep up the good work, loving your series, thank you
We love watching your videos, love cornwall we have been coming every years for 10 years, you make everything so interesting, but please be careful when your drilling I worry your going to go straight into your hands 🤣😂 keep them coming can’t wait to see it all finished ✅
It's coming along nicely 😉👍🏴
It's nice to be back in Cornwall again x
Awesome Shaun Vans really taking shape buddy
Thanks Dave
Look at the small felt runners for furniture to go under the sliding part, would make sliding easier and not mark the floor. Also watch "my van world" for her hacks on closing of her sliding bed.
Good advice
Good job on this new space.
Twist and turns, but you solve the issue 👌
What a brilliant little series. “adapt and overcome.” That toilet only needs a cushion - it’s fine.
Thank you
Can't beat watching love Sundays while holidaying in sunny kernowfornia.
I actually quite like it sometimes when you’re involved in designing something only to realise it hasn’t gone exactly to plan and you have to design your way out of it. Nice work. 👌
Thank you
Hi loving the way you work 👍, an idea for the loo cover / flap how about double skin full death cover and only the top skin slides out to meet the pull out bed ? Or a fold up flap on the pull out bed that hooks on to the loo ? Good luck with the rest of the build 🏄♂️
Another great video! You can tell you’re just having fun 👍 we’re down your way next week! I’ll be keeping my eyes out for the big ol’ transit with the rogue alloys 👏👏
Aye right so I bet your dad is doing the main work and u only drill a few holes for the vlog. If u have done this... awesome. Brilliant work 👍
I can promise you he's doing it all himself with minor phone calls I'm up in Plymouth
So humble mate..love these as you know ❤
Thank you
Nice work Shaun. Not sure if it was i the design brief but it also makes a perfect L shaped family seating area 😁
Really enjoyable entertainment as always! Cheers 😁
If i notice a white van with sick wheels drive past ill know its shaun. They look proper tidy
Look up vevor for cheap compressor fridges I've got a 20lt one to complement the way more expensive crx50 dometic in my van. Bluetooth 12v/240v I use it more for day tripping works a treat cools down quickly at home and uses less power than a cool box👍
Lovely job 👍👍👍⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Thank you
👌Coming on great Shaun and definitely toilet only needs a cushion I think 🌼😜
Thanks Sally
I was really anxious watching you drill that wood so close you your hands brother
Me to 😮
How about the cool box slides out in a drawer with a lid? That would extend the part time bed across the door, true, but I reckon you'd probably need the loo more than you need to leave the van in the night 🤷🏻♂️
You could use both ideas.
Loving you videos 👍
Good advice
It looks like you’re doing great on the progress. It’s like putting a puzzle together. Only thing is it’s all in your head first. Geez hard brain work. Hee, Hee.😬Good luck on what’s to come. 👍🏽
Thank you
You're doing a top job Shaun will be amazing when its finished. Thanks for sharing.
Great once again loved it ❤️
Loving the journey Shaun 👍👍
Love watching these great little vid 🤜🏻
Looking good Shaun.
I really like that you made the couch near the door so you can sit and look out. 🙂
Yes, cushion on top of the toilet will look great and cover the flap, well done 👍😊 x
Thank you
Proper Job.
Your pull out game is strong.
Lol
@@LoveSundays wish his dad pulled out 😂
Looking good mate wont be long till you and the whole family be on the road
Some lovely ideas you have there Shaun, it's all coming together now keep the vlogs coming!
can I just say you are doing a fantastic job on this van build you have great skills I wish I had great editing of the video as well.
You could hinge the extra piece from pull out part so that normally it hangs down, but then you hinge it up to a horizontal position when you pull the bed out. Would need some ledge on the toilet for the flap to rest, or maybe hook on to.
Lol great design Shaun don't think i would like to sleep on the dog house bed lol😂 but its great for a seat by the door will look great when you get the foam seating made and on. Showing your skills now great wood working skills, cheers buddy stay safe see you next week 🙏👍 michael notts
Cheers
Loving theses van builds mate every step you do gets more interesting for sure 🙏🏻🙏🏻.
Maybe keep that hinged flap as a loose piece of board that you tuck away somewhere and just rest it on a horizontal support on the front of the toilet box. I think your cushions will always look a bit wonky on top of how it is now.
Good advice
Nice one.
Cheers Terry
Excellent work again Shaun, I wish I had your patience & skill to do something like this.
Very inventive 😊 And yes, the toilet only needs a pillow.
Thanks Torunn
It's coming along nicely 👍🏻🙂
Great DIY skills loving the series mate .
Cheers Simon
I think what your creating looks great, if you didn't want it that way, maybe you could change it so it hinged up from the other side and rested on top toilet or with swing out support angle piece. Just ideas, but think your way will be fine. Is your new van going to have a name ?
It's coming along at a rapid rate now... doing so so well
Thanks Ian
I think it's super duper! Not sure about your head over the toilet all night.... waiting to see what fridge you decide on. 🙂
Yea I doubt I’ll be sleeping there 😂
Really enjoying this series, keep it up!
Don't forget space for a shower, assuming you need to rinse off after being in the sea or after a hot summer day
I’m not fitting a fixed shower. Maybe a portable one out the back
@@LoveSundays if you do decide to fit either a permanent or a slide out shower you can always do it at a later date as you have plenty of space. Outdoor shower makes sense for rinsing the salty water off.
This is a lovely sunny sunday 🥳🥳🥳
Thank you
Morning Shaun. The van is looking good mate coming nicely, really enjoying watching your progress. Keep,up the good videos mate.
Thanks Jon
Love your channel and this project... but - I am worried for your fingers when you are drilling! Take care mate!
Loving the build series, always look forward to seeing your progress. You could solve your double hinged toilet seat by having the additional piece of wood fold underneath the toilet lid, only problem would be having to make the fold out piece slightly narrower to accommodate a couple of risers on the underside of the main toilet seat so everything sits level.
Thank you
A thick bit of MDF sheet on a hinge vertical up the side behind the toilet (secured when not in use) that just flaps down to bridge the gap making a bed?
Looking good Shaun.
Be nice to see you out on the road in it 👍
Thank you
heya love watching this! for the part of the bench/bed coming out past the door, you could do a double sided cabinet for towel or wetsuit storage. so you can access it from inside and outside?
Good advice
Maybe you could hinge the connector between the toilet and the bed so you raise it from 180 deg up to 90 deg. Then if using hinges that allow it to go beyond 90 deg, then you raise it up beyond 90 deg and slide the extension out then it falls back to 90 deg and is supported.
This could mean the hinges are on the inside of the toilet box. Which I think would be tidy.
Good advice
Hi Shaun, that height difference on the seat is going to annoy you. You could put a small batton on the front of the toilet and then maybe store the bridging piece of ply in the garage section. Failing that, you could hinge up a piece from the pull out section and then work out how to join it to the toilet!! Either way, your van is look fantastic, great work
Dore. We are staying up. We are Premier League. Party time at Palace on Sunday my friend.
Great progress. Really look forward to watching your video's.
Thank you
How would it fit if you had the hinges upside down and a small cut out for the hing round part, maybe not so high.
Great... It's 9am and a Sunday😊
Thanks for watching
More progress on your camper van build looking better with every episode
Thank you
Enjoying the build of your new camper van but l will never build a camper van from a van l was
Love this. Also fridge wise we use a vevor fridge its great can also be a freezer. Don't get a cool box it will drain the battery there's loads out there 👍
Good advice
Good advice
Good advice
Why not have the toilet flappy bit flap up from the front, you could still cut the handle hole in, just cut it in the flap as well, hinge either side of the handle hole, lift that bit first then slide the centre part of the bed out and the flap rests on top
Good advice
I like the idea as a extra bit of sofa, but as a bed, I can't think of anything worse that sleeping with my head over a toilet.
😂
11:02 better to have the flip over piece to be full length, or add another piece to make it full and flat, so you dont feel a thing when sitting on it ?
It’s all pretty level and once the cushions are on you won’t feel it
Looking good mate making it up as you go sure works 😊
Thank you
If you're putting a table up why don't you put a lip either side then just use the table top as the extension to make the full bed 👌
Good advice
Nice. I think Vandemonium did something similar. Ok what about a retractable awning. I want to see if you have plans for this.I had plans for this until some knob stole my catalytic converter from my Toyota sequoia 2 weeks ago.
I’ve tried looking for back videos. Have I missed one . Saw the one with new alloys getting fitted!. Did you talk about how it now drives . Very interested before I take the plunge!!!
The road noise is minimal. My roof rack is noisier. The MPG is now less though and the tyres aren’t the best in the rain but it’s not an issue if you don’t drive like an idiot
@@LoveSundays cheers pal. They look the part👍👍
Starting to take shape. Why don’t you have the spacer but that you don’t like on the front of the toilet and it lifts up instead. Or alternatively a separate section that just slots in and is stored elsewhere. Like you said you’ll not use it much anyways.
Good advice
So Shaun where are you going to put the dog house⁉️🤣🤣🤣
I measure, measure again then measure again, cut, throw it away, measure it again and get it right this time, cut.
😂 me too
Looking great, get some knee pads or a mat, you will suffer when you are older, I know as I’m an old plumber now.🤣🤣👍🦊
Cheers Jon 🦊
Like the grill badge but are you now going to be a target for every parking jobs worth who knows about you?
Morning.why don’t you use wood glue as well as screws ?
I do. I just build everything first live with it for a week then glue it all. Makes it easier to make adjustments
Where will the dog sleep?
Why don’t you just flip the hinges so it hangs down instead of raising up on your little extender
I'm curious to know how tall you are, considering the 2nd bed doesnt fit you?
I’m 5ft 9
How the heck are you going to use the toilet with it like that
Are you a carpenter or furniture builder in your other life? What is your career. 😮
No I’m not a carpenter but my dad is. I just work in an office. I normally ask my dad how to do something then I don’t listen and mess it up 😂
@@LoveSundays Understandable! 😂You do amazing work though!
Loveing the build. But why don’t you wood glue everything it be much stronger and last longer 👍🏻
I tend to not glue it so I can make adjustments later on. But I will probably add glue one I’m 100% happy with it
Am I the only one thinking, what happens if someone is using the pull out bed and you need the toilet in the middle of the night.
If someone sleeping in the pull out bed I’ll move the toilet into the walkway on the van
@@LoveSundays aaah right, fair enough, makes sense, also I suppose it doesn't seem right having to sleep over a bucket of....errrrrr....excrement, especially if your head is on that side 😆
@@davebirch1976 .... worry would be any bad smell too . Maybe the toilet could have been placed near the door. And the fridge near the bed
@@nouvel0001 I think the bed was an after thought, after the toilet had already been planned.
