Loved this episode! Did you know Rionya and combat celebrant is infinite combats? You exert the copies Rionya makes of Celebrant and then at the beginning of combat Rionya makes more Celebrants! I run a Rionya EDH deck that does that its so stupid lmao. you couldve potentially won the turn you played remorseful cleric hehe. Cant wait for Scrybabies content!

Chrome Mox doesn't have flash so Joe shouldn't have casted it which also meant that he wouldn't have had the mana to cast Samut.
Also, clone effects can't copy something that enters at the same time as it. It can only copy something that was on the battlefield the moment before it entered.
Lua had the win anyways. At 33:56 you see Rionya, Fire Dancer in hand which goes infinite with Combat Celebrant.

Just for the record, since all creatures are entering at the same time with Patriarch's Bidding, Phantasmal Image doesn't see any creatures entering with Bidding to enter as a copy of, so it cannot enter as a copy of a creature entering with Patriarch's Bidding.
Nor could joe swing with said creatures on his turn as they got the sickness

They all see each other as they enter at the same time so all creatures are valid targets to copy.

Great game! Many game errors/missed triggers but... Magic is a complex game and easy to miss/lose track of when you're in the game and just having fun.

The dragon commander player forgot to shuffle his graveyard into his deck after Kasius played timetwister. You can clearly see archmage of oghma in his grave afterwards

@@marioquezada4036 and should have countered it before attackers were declared. At the very least ask where the damage was going white it was on the stack instead of going to declare step and then counter it.
TLDR: Good for Cash for staying in the game, it sucks when you don't draw mana, but dude, 29 lands is not many lands, am I missing something?
I feel like at 29 lands you can expect to stay at 4 lands for awhile most games, you're expected to see your 5th land when you've seen 17-18 cards, which is really late usually. cEDH mana bases are like dedicated drag racers in a deck like Kess, if anything goes wrong you just can't compete, but if everything goes fairly well you just get to the other end of the track really, really fast. I personally prefer Zur, where iirc I run 34 lands in my Proxy version of my cEDH deck (I ran 39 in the non-Proxy, and a heap of ramp rocks), I feel like 3 colours for your Commander is pretty tough to manage without 3 lands/mana sources like Arcane Signet, I even run Signet lands to help make stuff like Ancient Tomb useful at casting my Commander (or Sol Ring, or Mana Crypt etc), it's very hard to cast Zur before turn 2, but it can be done fwiw, he just won't have haste and will get removed usually, it's generally better to wait until later and play him with at least U up to protect him, so I really want to hit my 4th land in that deck. At 39 lands, I had very good odds at getting Zur out on or before turn 4, but the proxied one can do it 3 or before with a decent level of consistency, I feel like Kess is in the same boat, where ramp is limited and your deck works much better with the Commander on the field (my deck might as well scoop if it can't get Zur out, which is almost parasitic because it depends on people having shaved down removal to try to 'go over' their opponents deck with raw power, you see lots of decks with maybe 4 or 5 creature removal options, not all of which even hit Zur), so I suspect a few more lands wouldn't hurt.
Some guy just ran a bunch simulated games to find out the ideal lands per deck. Landed at around 33-34 to not get flooded but also not miss land drops. There’s a thread floating around on reddit on it! Personally I feel like 39 would be too much, better to replace five or six of those with mana artifacts or flesh out your deck.

We do rule 0 with one another. Saying what number of power the deck usually doesn’t work. I let people know what turn you should aim to win on and that’s discussed long before players come on the show!

At 29:24 some of the creatures you guys brought back shouldn't have been Abel to come back because damnation says they can't be regenerated so I think this would have ended different but good day
Regeneration is a replacement effect which means: "The next time this permanent would be destroyed this turn, it isn't. Instead tap it, remove all damage from it, and remove it from combat. A creature has to have this replacement effect. They can be resurrected from the graveyard next turn

I love how the girl had an extremely amazing first couple of turns and was feeling herself. Now that everybody ganged up on her, she’s getting salty. Here’s a tip, never play a first turn like how she did. Never become the threat in the first 3-4 turns. Just sit back and relax until it’s time to take over a game

The casual environment is cool (just came across this channel and watching older videos) but the misplays make the games irrelevant and unwatchable. The people interactions are fun though.
That’s fair. We could probably benefit from having and extra eye to look out for things like this. While we are filming 4-5 games and the banter it’s sometimes hard to focus on it all! Appreciate the feedback!

So.....whats worse opposition agent or Hullbreacher???? hhhhmmmmm if its in the 99 the chances of pulling either card is still by chance so i dont understand why the committee made the choice to ban Hullbreacher SMH.......
Because Hullbreacher incentivizes you to play it and the wheel the table away drawing you alone a new grip and giving you almost always 21 treasures to then dump said grip out onto the table. If you didn't get the treasures it wouldn't be so bad like notion thief but the fact that it GIVES you gas on top of heavily impeding your opponents. Opposition agent just doesn't let you tutor for cards. It doesn't set your opponents back as heavily
Wait...phantasmal image can't copy anything & zacama shouldn't be the one from tibalt, it was the first card on top of the library which he should be milling and after that next nonland. Sorry but this is just bad and these are kinda big factors for the game, kinda ruined.

200% agree with Cash ignore the ban list if the card was printed it can be used especially in edh. Only have 1 rule no proxies if you don't own the card you can't use it.
I never use proxies too man, but a ton of people show up to the lgs with half-proxied decks. Unfortunately you have to be prepared to play against proxy decks at some point. As a budget player it hurts extra cause you know they take the easy way out, printing the card they can't afford instead of spending actual time finding a budget choice for the same slot.
@@themasterprocrastinator sounds like we need to play a game together cause I 100% agree with you. Anyone can look up a deck online print the cards and go out and whoop ass. But there's just something about figuring out what type of deck to build with the cards you own it's a challenge and when your done and win some games it's so satisfying. Proxies for me are like getting aimbots for a shooter game like what satisfaction do you get from winning cause you cheated
I don't know man, I feel like a game is 100% more enjoyable against someone that proxies a Taiga vs someone that plays Time Vault + Voltaic Key or Hullbreach + Wheel
@@nik700 heres the thing for us players who play without proxies only play with the cards we get out of opening packs it's like a slap to the face that you can print out a killer deck and basically spend money for ink and paper and destroy me cause you know how to look up decks online and hit print. The real skill comes into play when you work with what you have and make the best deck possible with what you got. Anyone can print a deck that someone else already made. Simple as that
