I love this, its like stream of consciousness riffing... his own stuff, into Rush, back to his own stuff, into Eric Johnson, his own stuff, Steve Morse, his own stuff. I freakin love it!
1:10 has the most beautiful lead tone I've ever heard. That Petrucci's signature tone. I wouldn't be able to stop playing for hours if I could recreate such a beautiful sound
Boy that riff in a change of seasons he's playing in the beginning borrows a lot from the call of kthulu by metallica. Never realized it because in the song its low in the mix.

He got techniques, feel and most importantly knowledge about the sound , always spot on and full power.. The clean plucking is always superb.. And distortion sounds is powerful.
