- It's Carnival Jubilee's embarkation & Port Galveston sail-away day as we sail for the very first time on the Carnival Jubilee @Carnival 's brand new flagship! In this vlog, and were on the 4th ever Carnival Jubilee sail-away from Galveston! We flew to Houston and then took an Uber to Galveston and stayed at the DoubleTree Hotel Hilton in Galveston! We boarded the beautiful new flagship Carnival Jubilee and checked out all the decks (mini Jubilee Ship Tour!), and of course had lunch at Guy's Burgher, and a couple drinks at the Golden Mermaid! We show the brand new Casino on Jubilee, with 1/2 smoking and 1/2 non-smoking. Dinner was wonderful as we had all new appetizers and entree's from the Emeril's menu, a wonderful Main Dining Room adventure! Checked out the new show: Dear Future Husband, which was great. Caught a sunset and filmed a great sail-away on the Carnival Jubilee. It was a fun-filled embarkation day!

Hooray! An Andy sail away! Next time I sail from Galveston I am going to check out that hotel. So excited to watch this series! We're two weeks out on the Celebration now. Poor Andrea, you look like you can barely keep your eyes open at the end. It'll be okay, the next day is the best day of the cruise. All the struggle is behind you, it's a sea day, and you have the WHOLE CRUISE ahead of you!

We stayed in the same room at the doubletree on January 12th. Got on the Jubilee the next day.

@@ARCAdventures no we only stayed for one day and it was windy and cold. But the staff was great.
What deck parties did they have? Did they have the white night, Motown,and the Lonestar night?
We had the usual sail away party. Don’t recall this cruise having a white night or other themed night.
Looked like a shuttle parked in front of your hotel. Do they not offer transportation to the cruise port?
Ahh we did forget to ask. I’m betting that was a hotel shuttle. Our experience with Hilton in the past is if they have shuttles they are still about a $15-$20 fee do we just called an Uber since close. We should have asked though for sure for the video, sorry.
The window has double blinds the see through one and a blackout behind it. Don’t need curtains

Have you guys sailed on Celebrity yet? I would love for you to do some reviews of some celebrity ships. We used to cruise Carnival most of the time because we had younger kids but now we’ve sailed on Celebrity we’re not gonna go back even though we’re platinum.
We have not. That is a cruise line we want to sail on for sure, especially if Captain Kate is on board! The staff are so nice on Carnival though.. Whenever we sail another cruise line then go back to Carnival, it always feels like home.
Do they play country music the whole time? That would drive me crazy because I’m not a fan of country music, so probably not a good idea to ever sail out of Texas.
No only a bit on lido deck, and one song total in the main dining room for the entire cruise, so definitely not bad. Thanks for the comment!
Why do you assume everything is country music. I am a Texan and have never liked country music. Rocker thru and thru.
