Damn, this video is helping me out a lot with my swap. I’m actually really local to you, I’m in KCMO. Have a 90 GMC extended cab shortbed 6.0/4l80e. Just got my stock harness out and I’m definitely using this video for reference for my stock harness. Good shit man! Looking forward to more vids when the weather is no longer weird haha

On the data lines the orange and black go to park neutral switch I think, it’s the orange wire pin 461 and white and black that go to aldl connector

What I was gone do since I have a psi harness I was going to just loom that one up since it’s not that many wires and just try to hide it or make as much as I can . When I get to that I’ll definitely be going into detail on it all

Man this video is awesome and can’t believe I haven’t seen it till now. I’m wondering if it good for if not going to an LS motor my 90 454ss I’ve put a GM crate 572 engine and mine came with the 400 turbo automatic transmission
and have my harness already out to clean up harness and does run so if when put back in and don’t run I obviously cut a wrong wire. If you or Skyler would know I can do my harness that I would really appreciate your help I just hope you see my post. Thanks again. Malcolm in KY

@@TevionsGarage that’s cool mine pretty basic even got a fuel cell and fuel sending unit is used to still read the factory gauge in dash. I pro streeted my 454SS and even ran a 871 blower on it and was like a top fuel dragster. I never raced I just like the cruising and look and sound of course no stereo can’t hear the music anyway with that set up but now took it all off and installed all air ride with 24’s and took blower off but thinking about putting it back on because even thou the crate 572 is got 720 horse power I can really tell the difference with it on, it’s like having 2 engines I mean man it is serious horse power. I don’t drink or do drugs but I think this shit is my drug. F ing love it.

Is there a certain place that was used for the information on the wiring? My pickup is 1990 and is the work truck model so shes super basic. But id like to know of theres a website or anything that the information was used from. My pickup was originally a 4.3 v6 pickup with a 5 speed now i have a tbi 5.7 v8 in it now. Hey what do you do with the oil pressure harness if it’s only two wire?
Use the wire on the driver's side that goes to the pressure sender it has a blade connector on it.
How do you unplug the main harness from the fuse box on the driver's side?
It’s a bolt in the middle after you get that all the way unscrewed you have to kinda pull it out like in a finesse kind of way . It’s going to be rough but I tried to get the 2 top ones off first one by one and then bottom it’s a lot of grease in there so it’ll be hard

Yeah he even sells reworked a/c harnesses to temp sensors that work with factory ls harnesses

Is this pretty much the same concept as a 95 harness? I know there is a lot more to a 95 but its one of the steps stopping me.

@@TevionsGarage Not gonna lie, this is the hardest part for me. this harness was in bad shape when I saved the truck from the crusher. The Harness is cut in half so Trying to pick up the pieces and make it whole again. Seems that nobody has a vid on a 95 harness.
Yours helped me thin out most of the BS but with a bulkhead on driver and passenger side, hard to make calls on what is needed on both sides.

Looks good. My truck is already swapped but, want to clean up the wiring. When you modify the harness do you keep the oem obs computer? I have a psi conversion harness and computer
naa the obs computer goes in the trash don’t need it anymore
Did you have to use the stock harness for the transmission ? I also used a psi harness and it only came with 2 plugs for the transmission is that all I need ?

How does it work without the ecu? Do I need to do this if I’m going to use the terminator x max?
Because when swapping the car the ecu doesn’t power anything that’s for the old motor . only things you need comes out the bulk head on the driver side . you need to do it for pretty much any swap
@@TevionsGarage Ohh, I always thought the computer controled controlled them. Are you in Atlanta? Is that other small red 12v wire also switched power? I need two 12v switch power for the terminator x max. So the starter wire will still allow me to turn it on with the key. Rn my wiring is a mess, I’ll try to trim the original and start all over.
@@JoseCruz-qf6ui watch my Monte Carlo video I explained it well on wiring it up it’s the exact same , and Naa Kansas City MO , and yeah you could get a distribution block and run one wire from the fuse ign port under the dash to it and the other 2 from the harness to it and that’ll work. making that whole block a 12v key on
