The "boss battle" thingy is meant to test the build on multiple last boss fights, to check what would counter you or figure out solutions to that. You can still use call for supports betweens fights and you do need to manage HP still in between fights. It adds a nice star in your match history to say the build is valid vs at least 6 bosses :D

Honestly as a viewer I am always very interested in seeing the games you decide to play more than once.
You got me addicted to this game all weekend! Super fun game. Btw there is no drawback for retreating but there is an achievement for getting through the game without retreating. Personally I haven’t retreated once as I find that more fun, but I’m glad it’s there for when you realize your build needs to be adjusted for a boss

After you got the fuel thing, you should pretty much always move one space on the first turn, otherwise it's wasted. That way you can save some dice from your first roll as well.

The ability to back out and re-adjust has sold me on this instantly
i’m not sure if I like it. I never feel any danger about messing up.. only had one close scenario - on difficulty 5 I skipped all the vacations, cause I didnt wanna spend vacation days on grey events… then suddenly a boss or an elite guy was unbeatable with 3 bad cannons. I think the retreats should be limited with possibility to obtain them…kinda like service calls, but you start with 3 instead of one.
@@jurezibert It's ultimately up to you to use them, allows you to play a lot more loose so you're not sitting there, numbers crunching before every move.
Maybe splitting up modes where you can freely use them, then limited uses or something similar to Into the Breach or The Captain.
@retro not sure if this is right but the BOSS Battle you can do i think are HARDER boss battles. If you complete them all I think you get a achievement or at-least a check-mark saying you defeated the boss. You should try to see if you can do that. They are harder than the regular boss.

45:25, you have been offered energy generation as one of 2 reward after very first battle, the quadrangle energy source at 4:00, literally the best energy generation in my opinion, but its okay you didnt take it.
Hey Reto figured out how the energy deck works on the start of run 2.
It took me like 8 hours to even bother to check. And at least another run to understand it.
Also there's an achievement for indirectly doing 100 damage in a fight, just saying.
got this with an item that deals half my gold at the start of the fight and then some tricks to get 200 gold
I COULD wait like three seconds for you to end your turn to see if you get 5 that isn’t blue, but I figured it would work like STS where you would be guaranteed to draw a blue 5 because you have both a blue and a 5 in your pool, and then it would select blue as the color of your next die before recycling your entire CD pool and choosing what numbers and color you’d get for your second blue and your third die.
But I could be wrong. If I were programming this mechanic in my own game, I’d do it that way as I feel that makes the most sense from a deck building perspective.
It would be weird to reshuffle your CD pile back in before you’ve run out of stuff in your other pile. I THINK. Let’s see what happens when you end your turn…
Edit: okay so you drew a blue 5, but you also drew a white 1 first it looked like. Results inconclusive- I’ll need to buy the game for myself and do extensive testing.

@@manolios ok, well, I’ve dumped some hours into it and haven’t seen a bug, but the early access just released so probably 6months- year depending on development time I’d wager.
@@devonhutchison3485 yeah maybe there are no visible bugs, but gaming time is precious to foloow and play a game that would change one way or the other, depending on community requests etc, through this time.
