  • ** Just some pre-seed fun under the sun! 🙂😂
Yes, I know this is not a fair representation of each tractor, and yes I know we could have done better with the pull out, that's why I said "round 1" 👌
** And No this is not hard any thing other than the strap haha... So let the games begin!
** The Rx is weighing in around that 65,500lbs give or take
** And the Fendt is weighing in around 57 - 58,000 lbs roughly..

LOL it's fun that some people in the comments think that this would break the tractors or do some serious harm to engine or tranny.
They are build for tough work every day,and pulling 10-15 tons seeders and cultivators,so pulling game is nothing when you compare it to 6-8 hours of hard work.
Glad you have some fun guys, keep it up!

13:48 "if you can get 450 to ground your doing pretty good"
450 down and 500 engine means about 90% effeciency
lol, the most effecient powershift (case 620) is 'only' 85%, so....
with the powershift in the 9620RX 'only' being 82%...
calling 450 down on a 500hp engine "pretty good" is an understatement, right term is mindblowing.
that is, IF you get 450 down, in reality its closer 420 (which still is 81.5%)

It's pity that the 1167 demo is not there yet. Would like to see that, challenge one of seeding tractors!

Next that it was fun, it was also very insightful how pulling works on this type of soil and what footprint the tracks and wheels give. Awesome comparison you guys.
Also on the rope walk, but sorry to say Mike, but clearly there was a clear win by Lee!
Well Mike, I've question what causes you became kind of mean, pushing the winner of this competition?😂😉😎

what kind of hydraulic flow do you have in both of those tractors? and how much do you need minimally for those air seeders you're pulling?

Both of have twin pumps combining for over a 110+ flow.. Need around 100gal flow for the drills and carts

Hook them to the same drill and cart loaded with the same product, type and amount. The answer will then be obvious.

The rope is not 240.000 x 2 (double). Where the rope connects to the tracked John Deere it’s only around the pin one time - thus only having a breaking force of 240.000 lbs.

Very interesting result indeed. I really thought the RX would pull the 1050 backwards.
And yes, you absolutely need to do a pullout between Bert and Ernie! 🤣

Hi Mike, yes you are right about weight versus contact area of tyre/tracks. But also soil shear strength has a great deal to do with traction. Also the biggest issue I can see with your drill setups are that there is no weight transfer to the tractor and with the seed carts at the rear are just a dead weight. I know that what they are and the setups are what you want and like. However if there was a way of gaining weight fron the drill to the rear of the tractor it would aid traction no end. Just a thought.
