      @@olepedersen2795 sorry for the long winded response but here it is; MF is an awesome personality, love his dad too but he doesn’t walk you through exactly what he’s doing every time, I could could write a chapter with proof points, it’s been my experience that there’s a lot of cut and production in Zack’s vids. Not to knock him… at all, I just prefer Mike all around, it’s just personal taste mike’s self deprecating nature makes me roar . But coming from a guy that doesn’t know anything I’d have a better shot operating a tractor based on Mikes vids. Not that I think I ever could without real in-person instruction, maybe not even then, might be too much big city pussy baked into my core at this point

      Mr Wednesday Take a peek at Fast Ag Montana as Tony, His Dad & Colin do most of their own repairs & very skilled at Manufacturing things as required.
      Zack the Millennial Farmer may have a lot more subscribers but lots of their repairs are done by other individuals and he certainly pees green and doesn’t criticize John Deere even if there are major issues.
      Zack has indicated that he makes far more money from You Tube rather than farming plus he has many sponsors which affect how he produces his videos

    It was good to see the suspension working. Years of experience with the Challenger tractors have paid off. Oh for the good days when we could simply turn a screw and gain more HP.

  • @FendtMF
    @FendtMF Před 3 lety +9

    For everyone that doesn't know, The 1167 has 670 hp, but only pulls like a 1162 with 620 hp. The extra 50 horsepower on top is reserved for hydraulics. So for example, if you were pulling a big air seeder like Mike has, that extra 50 horsepower would help to run the hydraulic fans that push the product from the cart to the drill.

      Deere has designated Fendt as a market threat going forward. Deere now offers special Fendt pricing for dealer buyouts.

      Not likely. They own so much land, there’s no reason to do anything but seed, spray, and harvest. They only pro-till heavy weed areas, or patches that start on fire.

    Get a sump and some drains put in that field should dry it out and be able to actually seed on it

    So, being from a region of typically excess moisture, if someone in drylands wanted to do away with the sloughs rather than farm around them, what would their options be? Here we'd just run drainage tile through it, but guessing in an area of low rainfall amounts, that wouldn't be a good option?

    If that soil/clay is capable of taking a crop, I would consider digging some large pits for the water to drain into, to allow the land to be dry enough for seeding, and then in fall, pump out any remaining water for the next year.
