Thank you so so much for the basic info because I had forgotten how to use my Nikon. I am not a photographer, my daughter is. I just wanted a camera and had it for quite a long time now. I attempted to use it this past weekend and had it in live mold, then I couldn’t remember how get it to record again. I got so confused. can you only use video when the back cover is open? I've had this camera for a while and never remember how to activate the video. I'm also curious about GPS? how does that work with this? never knew it had it.

Night vision light? You talking about an led light there are a few under $100 that might work.

After turning the camera on .
Put in it manual mode,then press flash switch on the side (the flash light pops up).
Then by switching to view finder adjust to favoured focus then ,have a gentle half press..then fully press.
And it flashes..
