We played with a 10 against 11 men over the majority of the match and on this level it was game over. Blaming the players who gave absolutly everything is so dumb. I’m hoesntly only worried now that players like Kounde and Cancelo are still going to want to play for barca after this humiliation (on top of past humiliations in previous seasons). Kounde would be the main CB / RB at any club in the world. Cancelo could go back to City and automatically start. What’s keeping these guys at the club? I think the outrage from the fans is purely because 1) Had Barcelona won it was a clear shot to the UCL finals, an opportunity that will likely never come again (being on such an easy side of the draw) and 2) We now have to wait another whole year to see Barca compete for a major competition. I'm Barca fan it's Red under the FIFA law. The law states if the foul was committed outside the box (Which was outside the box) and the player was the last man, it's a red and a foul. If it was INSIDE the box, it would've been yellow and a pen to PSG. So under the law the red was deserved.

I lowkey knew it was coming after the red card. We HAVE to be honest with ourselves... even in the first leg we only survived PSG's attack because of our incredible defense and overall team's capability to score more goals than we let in. It was obvious that the margins between these teams were close and losing a man, especially a warrior like Araujo, those chances PSG were getting just kept on coming. We had no bite the second he got the red and it felt like we were in survival mode. The red card occurred too early on in the game and it gave PSG enough time to get into this game and score those chances. It truly feels as though PSG did not beat our strongest side and that makes it even more disappointing BUT this also means we don't need to just throw all the good away from this team in a fit of rage. Xavi is definitely leaving but we do not need to give up on all of our players. Football is a game of margins and losing a key player like araujo so early on made the difference.
With This kind of history we are creating in the champions league i don't think any star player will choose us in the future.

I agree de Jong was horrid. He was also horrible in the first leg. Cubarsi has made him obsolete. They no longer need to reshape the entire formation and their tactics to cater to De Jong. Cubarsi is an all in one defender, ball carrier, and elite passer with an exceptional ability to break lines and process the ball forward with some of the most ridiculous passes I’ve ever seen from a defender. Barca should seriously consider cashing in on De Jong, cashing in on Lewandowski (but only if they have an ELITE replacement), and cashing in on Araujo (again, only if they have a solid replacement). The star players in this club are Cubarsi, Kounde, MATS, Cancelo, Gundo, Yamal, Raphinha.

As soon as I saw who the referee was I told my wife we were going to lose. I am from Romania (where the referee is from) and I know his refereeing style. He is used to refereeing football in Romania, in short rats running after the ball, not footballers. From my point of view the main fault is the refereeing (which let's be honest.. was shit), then Araujo's foul, Lewa's kicks on goal and Gundogan who was invisible.

While I agree changes need to be made and I would fully support Barcas decision to make said changes, you have to keep in mind that too many changes in a short time frame would be even more disastrous for the club. Also keep in mind Cancelo and Felix aren’t even on a permanent contract, they’re on loan and likely to leave at the end of the season barring some ridiculously fortunate/lucky circumstances. Also some players are guaranteed to slow down at some point, players like Lewandowski, Gundo, MATS, and even Raphinha. While you could argue these guys are the lowest hanging fruit (and therefore should be sold), I’d argue that keeping them might help this team transition to a new era (is that the right word?). They would provide some stability and consistency while the team experiments with other positions. Think about Yamal coming into his own on the right flank, or Balde at LB, Fermin in the midfield, or even allow Barca to sell a player they previously relied on, such as de Jong, and give more responsibility to either young talents or new talents they acquire via transfers.

Wasn’t it PSG that wanted Araujo for 100mil? That offer is definitely now off the table, Jeez. I actually think it Barca could offload him that wouldn’t be a bad idea. Their star CB is Cubarsi, and Barca need to pay Kounde and Cancelo more to convince them to stay. Also if you could sell Araujo to a team that isn’t incredibly competitive in Europe like a Chelsea for example, it would be worth it. Selling araujo would only be a bad idea if you had to face him in UCL every year. I actually think PSG would be a good fit for him. With mbappe gone next season I don’t see PSG doing very much.

That Araujo red card screwed everything up. If there is a player to blame it’s definitely Araujo. And I love Araujo as a defender, so no hate from me. It was a genuine mistake on his part.
If you analyze the game with a cool head, you’ll see that Luis Enrique really did get his tactics spot on. PSG targeted Araujo by not pressuring him on the ball. Luis Enrique knows that Araujo struggles with ball distribution so they let him carry the ball and then covered all areas. Sure enough, Araujo eventually misplaced a pass in a crucial area and in that same play he fouls as the last man to make up for his mistake. It was impulsive and it ended up costing Barca the entire game.
Araujo’s on the ball distribution has to be better… Luis Enrique targeted this weakness and it worked out.
