Frequently Asked Questions:
đ How old are you? 22
đ What are you studying? I just finished studying English Literature at the University of Exeter. But we are students for life, and I hope that I will continue learning even though I am out of structured education.
đWhat are your favourite books? âą 200 book recommendatio...
đ Have you written a book? My life goal is to be a published author and make a living from writing and I am using this year to gain experience, build up a portfolio and work on a book with my agent. I have just finished the final draft of that book, as you can see in this video. I did self-publish a book about bullying when I was seventeen which is available on Amazon (amzn.to/3mdJKLm), but I'm slightly embarrassed by it now!
đ Do you have merch? I don't have merch in the traditional sense (I can't imagine selling something with my face or name on haha!), but I do have a stationery company where I sell planners for students. These are all designed with students in mind and follow models which I've used when planning my studying. Our products are printed in pastel colours on recycled paper: bit.ly/3wgsR85

2:48 Oh my gosh. My mom also called it forest bathing! I grew up across the street from a park and there were a few nights in summer (spring allergies were too intense) where we would lay on the ground and find stars through the branches.
Just wanted to say Thank you Ruby for making these kinds of videos. My life has been really stressful and full of changes recently. Iâve been struggling with calming down and overthinking is an everyday thing. But every time I watch your videos it calms me down . So thank you for that! âșïž
Same for me!! Such a comfort during crazy times
Ruby youâre just a lovely human being, I just wish nothing but the best in this world for you đâ€ïž
This video was just pure art - like something from a book! Thank you for adding some beauty into our lives Rubyđ

You are always so close to nature, good for you! Love your video!
Such a well suited routine for Sunday evening! I agree that your vlogs after uni are very enjoyable, I feel like the artistry of them became next level
What a lovely evening! It seems out of a Jane Austen novel, the routine, the place, the forest!
It is really lovely to see you in such a meditative manner. The small shares of your life gives us inspiration.
I'm so excited for today's video! You're an amazing creator ruby and love following you on your journey. Keep going!
thank you for making me feel its okay to love my own company the most this summer
Lovely video Rubi! Your countryside reminds me very much on my countryside in the north of Serbia, where I was spending every summer when I was a kid! I would love if I could spend more time there! Thank you for a nice video! đș
You made my day! Thank you for all! Youâre soo lovely and I love youâre old fashioned style. I also love books. Greetings from Germany and have a nice dayđđ„°âš

what a cute set up in your back yard! so fun
Hi, really love your videos. As someone who lives in New England in an un air conditioned house, I cringed when I saw the open drapes in your bedroom during the day and the shut windows at night. When you are going through a heatwave, itâs really best to open the windows at night and set up fans to get the cooler night air circulating through the house. Then during the day, close the drapes to keep out the heat. Your house will be a cave, but a cool cave. Itâs so strange to pull out the heat blocking drapes that I use at night in December through March in July and August, but it makes a big difference in how cool the house stays. Hope you and yours are staying safe in the heat.
It was the East of England that got 40C temperatures, not the SW, Believe me we did just as you suggest! The heatwave is over now, back to mid 20s.
Wow, I found the only person in America who also doesn't have air conditioning! (Not by my choice.) I didn't know there is such a thing as heat blocking drapes! My windows barely open. They are old/damaged, and also for security since I'm in a basement. It is hellish. Yes, because it's a basement it does stay a bit cooler for a while. But once that heat gets in there, I can't get it out because there is zero air circulation with windows that open a couple of inches or not at all. I sometimes don't sleep much for days on end. It drives me nuts when people complain about the heat when they have AC or central air. Try sleeping soaked in sweat all night!
@@Yesica1993 i dont have air conditioning in New England and it suuuuuucks with this heatwave
This was a magical night time routine Ruby.
Yay! You just made my day much brighter!
You and your mom are so cute together, Ruby! I love watching your family doing stuff and pretending I'm part of it! đ Such a relaxing vlog as always! â€ïž

Such a lovely video! I grew up on the country side and moved to the city a few years ago for university, but I'm starting to miss being around nature that much more and more every day.
I don't comment a lot on your videos, but I watch every single one of them and I love them! I was wondering if you would maybe make videos on your favorite books by category? So for example your favorite classics, science books, poetry, etc. :)
I hope you have a good week!
Lots of love from Amsterdam

Surroundings of your house (looked from the window of your room) is beautiful đĄ
You seem to experiment more with your videos since you've been done with the uni and it's refreshing to see. I hope we can see more spontaneous vlogs in the future, such as weekly writing vlogs and things like that. Your 'routine' videos are already like half vlog, so you can really turn them into regular vlogs. I think people would be definitely interested in seeing more of natural lifestyle content during your gap year.
Love it!!! â€â€â€đ
Nice vlog Ruby đâș.
I also like to drink peppermint tea at night before going to bed! I found it to be a nice treat at the end of the day.
I think the same but I substitute out the peppermint tea for a half bottle of single malt.
Wow
I love the sound
Love seeing your routines specially when you at home, please do a daily in life inspired by Tasha Tudor

Hey Ruby, digital new planner thanks!

I havenât heard of cloud bathing but I have heard of forest bathing. I think you do that one on a regular basis!
Hi Ruby! Loved your video!! Just a little advice from a pharmacist: you should always take ion half an hour before breakfast. Otherwise your body wonât absorb it as well.

Great vlogs
Malory Towers, me and my sister are OBSESSED!!!!!
Hello Ruby! I am just about to start university (exciting!) and I was wondering if you could make a video on how to become more disciplined as a whole. I have always had these sudden bursts of productivity that lead to getting things more or less done but it is a very stressful way of studying. I would love it to be of more consistent effort, cozy and stress-free but I have yet to find a way in which I could motivate myself or boost my productivity consistently. And you obviously being the study queen of youtube Iâd love a video from you. I think my main issue is poor planning but when I do plan well, it throws me off so badly if something doesnât go according to my plan and then I end up throwing the whole plan away and just winging it again.
Cannot do coconut water it tastes like water that's already been in someone's mouth đ©
Beautiful love it đ.
Ruby truly is a kindred spirit!
I love to be in Green đ grasses places and the Tea too
However I keep noticing you're not moisturising? Cleansing even gently will weaken your moisture barrier and make your skin more sensitive. Definitely moisturise twice a day, skincare queen! Morning moisture with spf, night time moisture for overnight barrier and healing â€
Many a creator has used university vacation time to work earnestly on books, compositions, art works and so on. You're in good company doing the same, Ruby!
Here's a tip regarding electrolyte replenishment: in lieu of coconut water (which *is* good but can be costly) one could also use water, lime juice and salt.
Umm... Weren't you worried about bugs and things when you laid down on the ground in the forest?
And watching you run here reminded me of a video that you made a very time long ago, when you had just started exercising and didn't like it too much. You have come a long long way! â€ïž
Lovely content
Lola is not being very silly, she's playing! Play with her! She might enjoy going for a run with you on a day when it's cooler, running with your dog is fun for them and builds up a great bond, esp now she doesn't have Margot to play with. Dogs in the wild trot or run everywhere with their pack. Human walking pace is a little boring for a dog.
What happened to other dog?

Hi ruby! I don't know if you use this exfoliator powder everyday but you shouldn't! The best thing you can do it's to be kind with your skin, so the exfoliation should be done only 2-3 times a week, but always consult a dermatologist :)
This is good

I loved this video! Helped me wind down before bed. Thanks Ruby for working so hard on your channel!
I have never heard of cloud bathing, I think she meant forest bathing? It works similar like meditation but with nature since being in nature is very good for your health It also works in a park or your garden if you don't live close to a forest (which is just sad tbh) and it actually comes from Japan. You don't have to just lie down but simply walk slowly around and notice all the details of the nature like the sound, the smell etc. It lowers your stress and helps you being present.
