Addiesdive is really doing a great job with their watches. I own a few of their watches and I absolutely love them but as mentioned in the review there's something off about their metal bracelets lately. Still with that said Addiesdive is a great brand and this is a beautiful watch. Very nice review.

Nice video I felt the same about the bracelet and put mine on a leather strap and that’s where it lives now. I’m really happy with the dial and case and like u said I can live with the bracelet.

It's very nice Al. Worth checking out. I must admit I do have the original green dial Alpinist and this is an impressive homage without being a copy. It seems to be using the Addiesdive field watch case. They only thing I'd change is very slightly tone down the hands colour. One shade less would be good. The photo on the site looks like a closer match between numerals and hands compared to your video where the match doesn't look as good as the numerals aren't as bright as the hands.

We've seen countless designs in this particular watch case, haven't we? This one's not to bad. A nice brown vintage leather strap is the far better choice.
Yes, several designs with this case from Addiesdive. Plus Tandorio, Baltany and a few others use a similar case; for various hand and dial combos. We're certainly not short of options! Thanks for watching mate!!

Looks nice, green is never my first choice for a dial colour. But those hands, I am not sure, I think I might have liked the seconds hand in white to match the train track minute marker. Reasonable price though. Thanks for the video :)

Great reveiw, as for the watch. Don't know I can get on with the hands, yes their own spin on the design, but would rather have hands nearer to the original, bit jarring to look at tbh in my opinion. Cheers.

Thanks for another enjoyable and balanced review! Overall, a nice watch...but IMHO completely ruined by the handset, particularly the color. I'd have preferred white hour markers over the overly loud yellow color. That said...brown leather strap definitely helps it pop.

It doesn't show the Orange color for the Alpinist, you only have green for now. I wonder how long before we can access that color ? :(

I made an Alpinist lookalike with a jubilee and it looks way better than this one! I also have this one and it’s nice too but I like the one I assembled better and will probably give this one away.

I’ve had this for about 3 weeks. Not a fan of the hands but they’re less noticeable with leather. Watch has really grown on me BUT the clasp and bracelet were hot garbage

This dial is absolutely _begging_ for a cathedral handset, or possibly syringe hands. The arrow/fence post hands are a big miss.

From the title, I was excited to see a homage with a Compass bezel. No dice. So sad. I'll keep on looking. I find the hands to be out of design harmony with the outer minute track - it would have been better with cathedral hands.
A compass bezel would have been cool. I think this one take more inspiration from the SPB155 than it does the SAB017. Thanks for watching!!

I dunno, it’s only the color scheme that evokes the Alpinist. We’ve got all numerals instead of just evens… no cathedral handset… and so on. It’s a handsome watch but it’s giving Autavia more than Alpie.
It's definitely not a close homage. IMO it takes inspiration from the SARB017 and SPB155 but more so from the SPB155. Thanks for watching!!

I am done with these cheap chinese "hommage" watches. For around 150 to 200 euros you can buy a Casio lineage solar multiband 6watch with Sapphire and an original design, or a citizen promaster, Oriënt etc etc..
I like to have a mixture of watches in my collection, I'm happy to own Chinese watches alongside watches from other countries. Thanks for watching 👍👍
Luckily l, I don't have to choose to buy only one watch OR the other, or one type of watch only, forever. Neither do you. Bottom line: *Buy what YOU like, WEAR what you buy.*
I have many Steeldive clomages (the Cpt. Willard is great!) up through a pair of Sinns (104i St Sa & 556i RS). Admittedly, the *Sinn* pieces get the most wrist time (edit: those 2 plus a G-square would be a lifetime 3 pc collection). But I've still got love for my Vostoks & G-shock squares, too, and my Orients & Seikos, esp. the 1-of-1 mods. It's a personal thing. But again, the options are not mutually exclusive. If they are, if you could ONLY buy one watch to last forever: CASIO GW5610U + Ti combi bracelet.
Orient Mako II was my first mechanical a few yrs ago. Disappointing to passively watch the once comically low price double for the same product (like all consumer goods, aka food). BTW mod shops online have saph. domes and solid link J- bracs, really ups the on-wrist feel, still less cost than Seiko & everything lines up!
@@hgr.7857 yes but i rather wear an original design from a well known brand with years of experience than a copy from China. I have bought some of them, but they have zero originality, its fun for a couple of weeks but than i sell them, which is difficult because the general public doesn't know about these "brands" so i am done with them. You can buy 15 san Martins or save up for one beautiful grand Seiko with brand heritage. Those Chinese copies are disposable temporary "fun" but that GS will stay with you for the rest of your life.
Servicing and warranty and returnability and resell ability are big downsides of all these watches. The sell is very hard; of course they look great in photos. But the above problems remain. @@TimeForAnotherWatch
