Climbing mount Kinabalu needs training if you are not an outdoor person(it is not like walking in a park) and altitude sickness pills maybe needed. Take it 1 day before the climb to get your body to react first.
The fee is high though for non Malaysian. About 450 USD.

Do not go up laban rata when raining, they may cancel the climb up to the peak.
I think sabah is the best state in Malaysia. u have beautiful city near ocean, jungle, mountain, villages. Life balance 👍👍👍.

I was born and raised in Sandakan. I hope you guys will visit Sandakan! Lots of amazing food and fresh seafood. You will also get to see the sanctuary for Orang Utans in Sandakan! Please check out the islands for scuba diving and snorkeling. You will not regret spending time there!
Sandakan looks amazing! But we’ll have to safe it for our next trip. We’ll get our advanced diving license and come back 😊
Sandakan also has the best Nature and history compare to Amazon, definitely u both would love it.. i am a guide in Sabah. Strongly recommended.

Yes, there are lots of things to see and do in Kundasang but never mind, there's always another time. However, sometimes the rain enriches and intensifies the cool relaxing atmosphere in Kundasang. I'm glad you liked the gelato and chocolate milk in Desa Cattle.

I went there 2 weeks ago. The mountain swept my heart away. There's something magical about Kinabalu mountain.
If you return to the city, please visit Manukan and Sapi (cow) island by boat at Jesselton point ferry terminal.
On a good day, I suggest you go up Sosodikon Hill very early in the morning to watch the sun rise & a breathtaking view of the mountain & surroundings .
I love Kundasang so much, weather is unpredictable & mountain view sooo awesome, but the road bit challenging 😅
me stay at kundasang 8-10 of march and it just a perfect weather.. the just come at night only.. miss kundasang already

For your next trip, try plan to visit KK at the end of May to attend the annual Harvest Festival celebration in KK, you will sure enjoy this fantastic cultural event.
Awww...you did went to Kundasang...Kundasang is well known for the breathtaking majestic mount Kinabalu view.. If you drive a lil bit ahead, you can go to Tagal Kampung Luanti (Fish spa) and Poring Hotspring ..owh, I think the suspension bridge you came across, it's in an area called Tamparuli.. I miss Sabah!!!!😭😭😭

You guys are so close to 100K that's awesome. That's what people don't understand humid cold even more middle than the north is freezing. When you said he never seen ad white/black cow immediately thost that's a mikk cow. Never thought other didn't know that. I grew up in Brazil we had milk cows and meat cowsand never occur to me I knew that information because it's such a normal thing we don't think k about it.
Kundasang is in my top ten in the world. Not forgetting Kokol. To see sun set of Gununh Kinabalu, dining watching Kota Kinabalu and very close to KK.

probably for foreigners they are a lesser known part of malaysia.. for locals however especially on the peninsular part of malaysia such as i ... kundasang is a very special and a must go attraction / vacations ! it's quite well known as one of the must visit for us here.
I went there and it was great.. tho there are still a lot of things I'm missing out on!
Another great video! Flora saying the gelato was not cheap at 1.75 dollars for that size surprised me. We pay almost 6.00 dollars here in Oceanside, Ca for that. 😩

Should go snorkeling/diving at tunku abdul rahman marine park. I just got back from KK less than a week ago. I'm a Singaporean, have visited peninsular countless times. So i decided to visit Sabah. Different environment, got to know a new ethnicty of dusun people which cant find much in peninsular.
You should also visit Sarawak one day thats alot more to discover

If both of you wanna climb mount Kinabalu. Please do it between June to mid July. Because it will be the hot season and the sky will have a clear view of the surrounding areas. The suspension bridge is called "Jambatan gantung Tamparuli" at Tamparuli town.

We climbed it in Dec and came back down on Christmas Eve, and fortunately it didn't rain on way up but it did on way down.
For those who plan to climb, I recommend you train 6 months before attempting. Iirc, if you don't reach the last checkpoint at 12,000 feet by 5 am, you are not allowed to continue to the peak.

My grand parents and 3 different uncles were dairy farmers. I used to spend summer vacations on the farms that my family members had. The big black and white cows are "holsteins" They are known for the large volume of milk that they produce and are the largest of the milk producing cows.
You guys should headed to sandakan for next stop.

Holstein is the breed of cow. I grew up on a dairy farm. We didn't hand milk cows in the 80s. We used machines. However my grandfather taught me to milk a cow by hand. It's important to do it right for the cows comfort.
