Cad Bane's introduction was 10/10. He was all I imagined he would be and more.

I think it's an illusion of choice. He's testing Grogu's heart. He'll give him both regardless of the choice, the real choice is whether he'll stay with Luke or return to Mando, it's just framed in a way that his more adolescent mind can understand.

Grogu chooses din, Luke takes him to tatooine they end up walking into the big fight between everyone. Luke proceeds to demolish everyone. This prompts din to convince grogu that he can do so much more by learning to be a Jedi. I’m sure he will say something like “you can be a mandalorian Jedi, you wouldn’t be the first”
Is Luke gonna be upset that Din is aligned with Boba? Boba captured Han not too long ago.

Did anyone else see what I saw in that episode? Am I dreaming? That was.... it was... I'm speechless. I sat there, bottom jaw on the floor, tears running down my cheek, just in awe of what I was seeing. Things I have been dying to see since seeing Return Of The Jedi as a kid and especially since S2 finale of Mando, what Luke is up to post Jedi. I can't not even believe that gave us that much. John and Dave, you are my heros. You have brought Star Wars back to its former glory. Just wow. I have not even able to stop thinking about it since watching. Just WOWWWWWW!!!!!!
Me too. Return of the Jedi was my first Star Wars film seen at the cinema. Started losing my shit when I heard Artoo's bleeping beeps this episode. & then they Force choked us & didn't stop & we loved it..
I think Grogu will choose both. Remember what Ahsoka said to Luke. "Sometimes the student guides the Master."

Plus Luke Skywalker in EU dud allow marriage even though in Anakin’s era they did not. I think Luke knew this but allowed it for allowing Jedi to have freedom to choose.

When Luke asked Grogu if he wanted to remember home, I thought he was going to help him remember his "home" planet. If the Jedi temple is where Grogu considers "home", could that be proof that he was born in the Jedi temple? Could Grogu be the offspring of Yoda and Yaddle?
both were on the jedi council, and yoda for sure was devoted to the jedi order. he stood by and followed the no attachment rules, presumably yaddle did as well. so there’s no way to make Grogu their offspring.

Remember Ki-adi-mundi was allowed to have kids with multiple women to save his race from extinction.
Some people even hinted that they produced offspring from eggs, or asexually.

Foundling and Padawan don't need to be mutually exclusive. We've had a lot of history around Tar Viszla being the Mandalorian Jedi. Perhaps Grogu is going to be the next one.

10 out of 10!! The de-aging and motion looked so smooth. Had to watch it 3 times back to back.
P.S. - Cad Bane is terrifying

This is not nostalgia. This is what Star Wars needed.
After what the botched sequels did to the lore and fundamentals of the universe, this feels as if things are back on track.
Yes but they just need to continue to massage the narrative in a way that leads into the botched sequels and makes them more palatable. It’s unfortunate their canon and we have to deal with them at all.

Luke asked grogu about home, appearing to ask about the "Yoda Planet", and his memory only goes back to the temple....Luke was asking about the others of HIS species....
Part of me wonders if that means that Grogu was born in the Jedi Temple

@@autobotjcb no, but if he was trained in the temple like how they usually did it, they snatched Grogu around 6-12 months after birth, maybe a bit longer. His first memories are of the temple, and the masters.
Yeah I picked that up too because he made the connection to Yoda. Maybe he was born on Coruscant? Or taken so early that he can’t remember his homeworld?

This episode was great, and I have a feeling boba is gonna get Cad-Bane back for the dent he caused
I’m sure grogu will choose mando. There’s too many signs pointing that way. The perfect child sized seat behind mando, the armor for grogu, even Luke questioning whether grogus heart is in it. I think the reason they are showing all this in book of boba fett is so people won’t be confused when grogu turns up with mando in season 3. Because I doubt they lead grogu to be killed by Ben in the future. And I doubt they just made the armor for no reason.

I mean they released a comic a while ago that showed the attack on the school and like we presumably saw the only survivors and there’s no way they’d let grogu get killed off so yeah he’s definitely leaving

I think with Grogu' choice one of two things will happen:
1) He makes his choice and that is that
2) He chooses one but Luke rewards him with both as a part of a lesson.
But it might be a little more complex than that
He might also choose to not choose yet.

I think he’ll force levitate and snatch both saying that he can be both a Mandalorian and a Jedi. He’ll be a Mandalorian so that he can be with the people that he cares about and he’ll be a Jedi to protect the people that he cares about. This has to be a test, Luke should know better since attachment is what helped him bring his father back from the dark side and save the galaxy.
@@tallerwarrior1256 I almost argue that his attachment to his sister almost lead him to a dark path but then again his love for his father is what stop that. Also because of that shouldn't he learn that attachment is good as long as you controll it. Ep 5 shows that he can't control it then in Ep 6 it shows that he almost loses it but held back and that should remind luke to train in controlling this problem. I know its sounds like luke is not human when he can controll his attachments but with the help of the force then maybe he can? With alot of meditation i'm sure he can practice self control.
I loved when Luke was walking with Grogu carrying him with the force, he was teaching him how to move just like his master yoda 🥺❤️

Im so hyped that cad bane is gonna be in the live action stuff moving forward. They definitely made him terrifying. His introduction reminded me of the saint of killers in preacher.

They said a short time for Grogu is a lifetime for the Mandalorian, I think they are setting up another trilogy years in the future with a Jedi master Grogu, a old Ashoka, maybe Ezra, maybe Jacen Dume pops up also, Rey eventually turns to the bad side, Rey and Grogu as clone siblings!
What a chapter! The intercutting between different plot threads rly honed in to that classic Star Wars feel, in my opinion. Filoni’s live action directing has really improved and I’m here for it!
I'm just happy to see mark hamill play luke again he clearly love that character and to live in a world where an actor can just go back 40 years in time to play a character that he would never imagine explore like this again is amazing.

Guys, Grogu is a Mandalorian by creed (he's a foundling). He's also a wielder of the force. He's going to to be the one to unite the Mandalorians *and* be a Jedi. He's basically Tarre Vizla but in a cute little package.

Was so stoked to see hi silhouette on the horizon, I knew immediately it was him! And they fn nailed it in live action imo…agreed can’t wait either! Also makes me even more optimistic about what they’re gonna do with “Kenobi”!!!
I think the darkness surrounding Grogu at the end of the memory was him killing the clones that were coming for him.
This is the most character packed thing to come out of star wars since the the movies, I am hyped

He'll choose the chainmail armor, then Luke will go to Tatooine to drop grogu off to Mando in the middle of a all out war that Luke will participate in

Grogu eventually leading the mandalorian's would be a good idea because he would live 900 years or more and will be able to guide the mandalorian people to heal there planet and move forward
So, what if Grogu decides to go back to the Mandalorian and instead of Luke taking him to Tatooine, he gets Han and Chewie to do it. So Han+Chewie+Grogu head to Tatooine meeting Mando, Boba Fett, Fennic, BK, Cobb Vanth fighting Pykes. But who shows up as the leader of the Pykes... Qi'ra. So there's possible scenarios for conflict between Qi'ra + Han Solo & Chewie, Han & Chewie + Boba Fett, Boba Fett + Cad Bane, and some Chewie + BK history. That's probably too loaded for all that to happen in the final episode, but it would be pretty damn sweet.
Also, who else is showing up to help Boba Fett? At the end of Episode 4, he said he had a lot of credits, but was short on muscle and so far, he's only picked up the Mandalorian for free, meaning he hasn't used any credits that we've seen. So are we going to get Bossk & Dengar, or is Filoni going to bring in more Clone Wars characters into live-action like Embo and Hondo?

The high point for me was when ahsoka was asking Mando to make a choice. Pedro pascal did an amazing job giving Mando emotion even though we don't see his face. I felt like Mando was quivering and about to cry.
Maybe, just maybe "The Mandalore" is Grogu.
i mean in the future grogu isnt mentioned at all, and unless they basically wanna swipe the sequels from canon, theyd have to kill grogu if he was an important jedi, but if he was a mandalorian he could be kept more secret in the sequels. Ofc theres a chance that grogu becomes a jedi and SOMEHOW isnt involved in the sequels but idk wouldnt make sense. IMo they should just swipe the sequels from canon

That episode made me cry a lot! It was fantastic, they had references to the prequels and the original trilogy. I can't wait to see what's in store for the next few years of Star Wars!
The fact that Cad Bane survived being pursued by Anakin, Ahsoka, Obi-Wan, the Empire, makes him an absolute badass and Boba Fett is screwed when they come across him
Boba learned from Cad. Student surpassed the master. Ahsoka said so herself, you all just thought that that line was about Luke and Grogu.

I want Grogu to choose the light saber and then just start talking… “Give me the chain mail, you will” then maybe throw some force lighting at Luke.
This entire episode is everything the Sequal Trilogy never gave us.

Prediction - Din will be defeated and have the dark saber taken from him. Then, Grogu will defeat that person and claim the title Mandalor. Grogu is The Mandalorian.

One thing folks are missing is the timeline in star wars changed when Ezra saved Ashoka from being killed by Vader. Now Ashoka can guide Luke to help the Jedi evolve so the Luke we saw in episode 7-9 is gone. Hopefully

I can’t necessarily agree that Grogu is terrified at the sight of lightsabers. From my perspective all he’s known of lightsabers is that they protected him. If anything the sight of red lasers should haunt him because that’s what was doing the killing. Also, check the scene where Luke is wielding the lightsaber, you could argue Grogu is in awe and intrigued by it.
This is one of those shows where all dialogue matters and has meaning. The armorer spent a lot of time speaking of jedi and mandalorian. Grogu is obviously destined to be both

Grogu leaving his training is just like how Luke left Yoda. Maybe it’s part of Luke’s overall plan with him.
Yea, it struck me a lot like the end of episode V, when Luke is about to leave dagobah and yoda offers him the choice to stay and finish his training or to fight Vader
I was excited for Grogu having his own Mandalorian armor, but Grogu being THE Mandalore who wields the Darksaber?!! That would be amazing! I can just imagine rows upon rows of heavily armored Mandalorians kneeling in front of a cooing Grogu
And Grogu has to be the next Mandalorian Jedi! So maybe he gets “Luke” style training for a short period, and then is able to slowly became a badass! But a badass that can wield the dark sabre or at least a light Sabre.
I PRAY that he doesn’t relinquish his Jedi abilities completely. That would be a loss!
Hopefully Grogu won’t have to defeat Din Djarin to get the dark saber.

Grogu - "right! im off to have some adventures as a Jedi Mandalorian... laters!"
I’m calling it now, he’s choosing the armor but 2 or more seasons down the line he’s gonna save Mando using Yoda’s lightsaber.
The view from Grogu during the attack on the Jedi, looked like force vision/viewing more than him being inside a container.
I would like to see Ezra, Sabine, And Rex- definitely Rex.

Loved this episode but got SO PISSED that Mando didn’t even MENTION the Darksaber to Asoka or Luke or how they didn’t even notice it by his side. Who can teach him better than a Jedi?
Well the thing is, Luke knows he has the Darksaber, and Ahsoka likely noticed it. But Mando definitely doesn't fully trust them in terms of training, Mandalorians have been at war with Jedi historically for centuries. He believes it's the right place for Grogu but certainly not for him. He wants to complete his mission to become re-initiated into the Watch and then train with the Armorer who clearly knows what she's doing.
The Darksaber is more of a Mandalorian thing.. seems to have different properties then a typical lightsaber anyways
@@cdgeeezy I haven't quite figured out if there's something special about the darksaber among lightsabers, or if lightsabers by nature behave that way for a non-force-sensitive. Remember, the only thing we ever saw Han do with Lukes lightsaber was slice open a dead tauntaun.
@@TheRockinDonkey Lol well it did seem fairly light in Han’s hands and I’m pretty sure Cad Bane picks up a lightsaber briefly in CW and wielded it fine. Also Fin in the sequels had no problem (not that it matters) I think Darksaber is made from a different power source or kyber infused with beskar or something

Mando arrives during nap time and R2 makes him a comfy bench because he probably needs a nap too! That was my favourite moment. It’s nap time.

I wish they set up more of the pike operation so we could have a built up fear and there’s a strength to them before Boba and Co fight them.

Okay, i'm someone who hasn't gotten around to watching clone wars and the animated shows. But can i just say, the moment Cad Bane came on screen he immediately had a presence. Holy crap, his design is amazing.
At this point I’m surprised by how many people haven’t watched those shows
"All of the please" - lol. Yes! An "End Game" esque ending along with a cliffhanger would be perfect.

As soon a you saw cad walking towards Freetown my jaw dropped.. what an amazing entrance for for the coolest character ever
Just a thought but if grogu chooses the chainmail for mando that would lead either luke or possibly ahsoka to deliver grogu back to mando and end up possibly helping boba or mando in a pinch, who knows so many exciting possibilities
Deputy Redshirt lol. Yeah, they could a long comedy montage of Luke and Grogu called Welcome to the Skywalker Academy with "Hooked on a Feeling" playing in the background and Grogu going through his training.
If Grogu goes back as a foundling and takes the creed, I’d love to see him eventually end up force wielding the Darksaber as opposed to Yoda’s lightsaber.
I can see Luke showing up with Grogu. The Mas Pelgo'ins and the Tuskens along with Boba riding a Rancor into battle. Just a big cluster.
Obviously the armor, that little cockpit in Mando's ship is definitely for Grogu.

I hope Grogu chooses the lightsaber and then later down the road chooses the armor so he can multiclass as a Jedi/Mandolorian. It would also make a nice story arc as Grogu struggles with his divided callings.

What if Grogu saved himself. Like maybe he devastatingly murdered those 3 troopers and he's suppressed that memory. Then a day or so later someone came along and saved him. In the Mando series we've seen how violent he can get if he feels desperate or angry. Maybe we'll see him wrestle with some dark side stuff. That would be a fun twist since we've all pretty much assumed Yodas race is the wisest and most incorruptible
He better choose to go back with the Mando, or I will be absolutely shattered!!! & Luke being a jerk by manipulating/blackmailing him with Jedi dogma seals the deal....I want Grogu to be back with Mando
I like that Cobb attempts to play his charm to disarm Bane... And he ends up being completely immune to it.

I think grogu will choose the armor and when luke takes him back with mando to his home tatooine he will join him and boba and it will be even more mindblowing

This aftershow was so late, but glad it arrived.
I found it interesting that the mercenary Mandolorian bounty hunters were represented by defensive armor and the peace keeping Jedi order was represented by the offensive weapon, a lightsaber. Irony.
I understand the metaphor of the choice but I honestly think it's too early to ask Grogu to make a choice. He really doesn't know much about Jedi or Mandolorians. He's too young to make a life long choice.
Also, why did it have to be a choice? They could have given Grogu the beskar armor and still trained him as a Jedi. A Jedi with armor that would help prevent lightsaber and blaster injury. It didn't have to represent a philosophical life choice.
Team Lightsaber! I feel like he is going to end up with both either way.
