13:56 "If i get Nourish, it's gg. I got ass. Is it still gg?"
*proceeds to win*
Turns out ass is preeeetty good!
I do enjoy that there's a lot of possibilities with this Brawl, but it just feels like there's a few decks that break it and are near unstoppable.
So just like every other tavern brawl?
Christopher Kendall That's why I prefer the random and pre-built Brawls generally. But I'm probably in the minority with that opinion.
No you arent. I like pre-built Brawls aswell
I disagree, I put in a Kazan mystic and some mages auto concede
boy did i abuse deathlord this brawl
Deathlord is imbalance combobreaker for this tavern brawl, opponents deck over the time will lose all minions
Deathlord, Divine spirit and inner fire. Epic priest combos!
I like screwing with people with weasel tunneler and beneath the ground
I'm surprised that worked for you (weasel/beneath). I tried it and just got out-tempoed to death.
Also Excavated Evil lol, combo priest is THE troll here.
I only ran 1 of them most beneath but I did jade rogue. Also I didn't win most matches alot of them was the renos conceding once they lost reno cause they were made for late game.

15:43 2017 shall be remembered as the year when Kripp used the word "Baller" unironically
flamewaker broken on a tavern brawl as usual
any spell heavy brawl makes mage a bitch to fight against

When brawl is better than regular ranked
Been using likely the most consitent mage deck for this brawl. Otks almost every game around turns 5-6.
freezing potion
Mana Wyrm
Arcane Missiles
Mirror Images
ice lance
frostbolt
sorcerors apprentice
arcane intellect
flamewaker
forgotton torch (though this can be changed for arcane blast/forbidden flame)
Just go through the same motions mulligan anything except apprentice, flamewaker or intellect. turns 1-2 you don't really do anything,m play a wyrm if you got one. Turns 3 and 4 you want to have intellects to play, keep all the peruses for the otk turn. Turn 5 just play out the apprentice and flamewaker then drop all your peruses for 0 dealing 2 damage each and fishing for more 0/1 cost spells and repeat, always try and keep 1/2 more intellects if unlikely to otk so can repeat the turn after.
I had an opponent playing with Unstable Portal.
He got Fel Reaver out of it.
He really played it O_O
... and next turn he had no cards, well XD
some people are just savage XD
Wow, that perfect lethal ending was awesome!
Keep it up! Proud of you!
My favourite is Astral communion Druid.
Mulligan for Astral Communion and Innervate, fill the rest of your deck with cards like Deathwing, crush enemy with insane tempo plays. Kripp used a too watered down, very slow version I feel like.
Astral communion + innervate + couple of big minions (ragnaros/alextraza/doom etc) + at least one card draw (nourish) = win.
That's one of few places where astral communion shines af
My favorite decklist for this brawl was Priest with Mind Vision, Museum Curator, Kabal Courier, Thoughtsteal, Raza the Chained, Feugen, Stalaag, Nexus-Champion Rashaad, Reno Jackson and Lightbomb. Basically this is a deck that always has answers and can just outlast its opponent until they run out of cards. Always make sure you keep an extra Lightbomb in your hand, and once you discover Raza once you don't need to choose him again. Don't forget to use Stalaag and Feugen to summon as many Thaddeuses as your heart desires!
The "tracking" card also pulls 3 random cards out of your deck, however if you have 3 or less cards the game won't let you use the brawl's discover effect. (in fact if you have exactly 3 cards, it won't let you do anything)
You can do this if you for instance want to do something silly like say, have a 3 in 4 chance to play reno jackson every turn.
As a new player with very few legendaries who just finished unlocking Karazahn: Prince Malchezaar has been a blast to use in this brawl. Also Dirty Rat, which I just got one of.
I made a Reno priest N'zoth deck added Kazakus, a few deathrattles and a board clear. I played four games before I realised I forget to add Reno :(
here's a crazy deck I used for this brawl as Druid:
- Aviana
- Kun
- Lotus Agents
- Nourish
- Fandral
- Innervate
- Raven Idol
- Brann
- Elise
- Prince Mal
once you hit 10 mana, it gets crazy with the Aviana, Kun, Fandral combo into Nourish because you can very often refill your mana crystals with Kuns help
where ... is ... my ...skipperino ... dont know what to do ....
I like freeze mage. It beats jade decks most of the time and normally beats burn mage too. Only problem is against the Kun decks because your opponent gets so much armour they're almost untouchable but a gadgetzan sorcerer's apprentice combo potentially can win
I ran an arcane giant Druid using Brann + Coldlight to draw a bunch of peruse cards, using Emperor Thaurissian to reduce them by 1; naturalize, poison seeds, and starfall for removal, feral rage for health (or burst after a lot of Thaurissians, wild growth to ramp up.
My favorite tavern brawls were the miniature warfare, pick 2, pick 3 and now this one too.
I really love this tavern Brawl, it encourages people to play original decks. Besides, I was able to play all of my original but very weak deck: a token druid, a buff/divine shield Blood Knight paladin, a flamewaker mage... And all of them were insanely fun, I've never laughed so hard in a Tavern Brawl, even in Heartstone. Well played, Blizzard !
Besides a miracle Druid, the other deck I had fun with in this tavern brawl is a divine shield/blood knight paladin deck. I ran cult master & blood knight and as many divine shield minions I could get together, as well hand of protection, and a one or two small draw minions. By turn 5 or so, I could reliably create 12/12's out of my blood knights, and even if I couldn't, the divine shields were pretty good for trading. I mean, it's not god tier or anything, but I had fun with it
I have had a lot of success with Reno c'thun rogue. In particular when I include beneath the ground.
0:45, you have a 3/10 chance. And that ending was amazing.
My favorite combo deck was OTK Dispatch Kodo. I saw no one else playing it, but it works. You buff one Kodo to 15 damage, then Brann it on turn seven and kill your opponent. The only problem is that you constantly need smugglers crate and trogg beastrager.
Haha I was one step ahead of kripp. I did this yesterday and was just writing this : Flamewaker survives one turn, play auctioneer and apprentice next turn, arcane missiles and continue to draw with the discover 0 mana card and hit your opponent for 2 until they die ;) : When he was explaining it in the video xD
A silence/board clear priest with mind blasts and draw and flash heal is basically unbeatable.
Also a evolve/devolve shaman.
Chris Legaspi M I R A C L E R O G U E
Chris Legaspi not really lots of these decks can otk and u can't reliably clear their boards every time
Turn 1: Coin + Innervate + Astral Communion
Turn 2: Deathwing
Turn 3: Deathwing
Turn 4: Deathwing
Hmm, Well Played!
I see a lot of druids with Nourish, but no one thinks of playing the Curator. It's much better, because you get to discover three Cards in addition to getting a 4/6 taunt. All you need is a Deathwing, Ironbeak Owl and that 6 mana murloc.
The most fun deck I played in this brawl was Patches, Gang up, Ships Cannon combo.
One deck I'm having fun with in this brawl is Cloaked Huntress, Lock and Load, Eaglehorn Bow, and 7 secrets. Turn 4, get a Christmas tree and several random cards
How to win in this Tavern Brawl on turn 6 (or even turn 5 with the coin:
You need: -to play mage
-3 sorcerer's
apprentice
-one forgotten
torch
-arcane intellect
How to play: first you need to pick the sorcerer's apprentice until you have 3, then pick any arcane intellect you see (but don't forget a forgotten torch).
When you have the cards you need and 6 mana, play all 3 sorcerer's apprentice. Now you can play arcane intellect and roaring torch for free. Pick every arcane intellect you see, otherwise pick roaring torch (or another damage spell) until you have enough damage to finish your opponent.
Don't forget!: you must act fast, otherwise you won't have enough time to win the game.
Note: You have a higher chance to win, when you go second. It's strange, isn't it?
Not having many cards in my collection, what worked was a C'Thun one, you just need the two cards that you get for free and fill the rest of the deck with whatever.
Fun fact: the work in progress name of this brawl was: "Mill Druid's nightmare"
Unfortunately mill druid still works, it makes your draw cost 1 mana by turn 3, while he ramps like crazy, out-tempoing you to win
Kripp, do Patches and Gang Up
Make it the Patches Day Parade!
This was by far my favorite tavern brawl yet, I would love it actually if this particular brawl were just a new full on game mode, it's just so much fun, with so much strategy. I'll definitely miss this once it is gone.
Flamewaker, manawyrm + arcane intellect super op in this brawl
don't need mana wyrm, that's not part of the combo, it's just apprentice, flamewaker and hopefully 4 peruse cards turn 5 + atleast a couple more 0/1 cost spells.
Noobie2k7 but if the mana wyrm stays alive while ur spells cost 1 less and u have a flamewaker it grows so big... i use it and its really fun
Howlyy yes but if you've played Atleast 2 intellect by turn 5 you win anyway. You just play apprentice, flamewaker, drop the 4 free peruse, that's 8 damage, you'll then more than likely draw a couple arcane missiles, those are 5 damage a piece and then a freezing potion ice lance is another 8 damage. its so easy to just okt without needing to attack at all.
The first deck kripp talks about is the one I thought I was genius for making. Darn.
I broke this brawl! I have: Innervate, Naturalise, Lorewalker Cho, Mana Addict, Wild Growth, Wild Pyromancer, Coldlight Oracle, Dancing Swords, Mulch, and Emperor Thaurissan. This deck has had a 100% win-rate over six games. Most of my opponents were playing Mage, Priest, Shaman or Ramp Druid. This deck will crush any of those. Especially the "flamewaker mage" archetype that Kripp was running (which is why Lorewalker Cho is in the deck - that and to feed my opponent more "peruse"s. Just keep feeding me those spells, please!)
The idea is: you use Coldlight Oracle, Naturalise and Lorewalker Cho to bump both yours and your opponent's hand size to ten, most of which will be the one-mana "Peruse" Spell. You use Wild Pyromancers as a board clear for small minions, Mulch and Naturalise to force your opponent to draw and clear larger minions. You use Thaurissan to decrease the cost of all those "Peruse"s to zero. Then you drop three or four Mana Addicts, which your opponent probably won't be able to clear (because you'll have been killing all their minions and flooding their hand with "Peruses"). Then you go... Peruse into Innervate into Coldlight into Peruse into Naturalise into Innervate into Peruse into Coldlight into Peruse... I've played what I'm guessing is over 20 mana's worth of spells in a single turn and buffed three Mana Addicts to upwards of sixty points of damage (at which point my opponent just conceded). Fun deck!
Your deck is trash. Any mage with perma ice block will laugh at you.
Edison Trent Jade would beat this.
Sadly, Jade Druid thing is proven correct. My deck finally has a loss!
Ice block mage, though, is at a huge disadvantage (I've faced two and beaten both). They're drawing basically one card for "sustain". I'm drawing at least three, depending on the situation. The problem with Ice Block mage is that his burst is completely useless and his minions (if any) will just die. So he's basically dependant on repeat Ice Blocks, over and over again. His RNG will fail a lot sooner than mine will because I just have more answers than he does.
I liked using a dragon priest deck for this brawl. Infinite discoveries!
I ran Ice Block Mage this tavern brawl. Some games lasted for an hour lmao
I played Mage with Patches, Finja, Murlocs and Ice Block. The first 4 Games I won just because of the Murlocs. In the 5th game I finally pulled off the dream: Pull Patches, pull 6 Murlocs with 3 Finja kills, so I only had 3 cards left in my deck, one of them being Ice Block. As it turns out I wasn't able to discover anything anymore (or do anything in general) -.-
Patches, Gang up, Southsea Captain and Ships Cannon as a combo.
Add some pirates, prep and eviscerates and you have a win against most decks
Try it.
my favorite class is priest with this anomaly guy and second deck with Weasel Tunneler
Kinda late (Monday), but I spent whole week playing Arcane Giant Auctioneer Rogue. So fun to look at a board of 8/8
Hey look
Another Brawl where Mage is stupidly OP
i found shaman hex and mana tide + devolve and totemic buffs unstoppable it takes a while but with a board full of frogs you evently beat most decks great brawl !!
Tunnel trogg, forked lightning, lightning bolt, jade claws, bloodmage thalnos, lightning storm, jade lightning, jade spirit, brann, reno. Prepare for huge troggs and even bigger golems.
My deck had a like a 90% win rate: Apprentice, Flamewalker, Kazakus, Ice Block, Accolade of Pain, Blizzard, Frost Nova, Fireball, mirror image, and flame Portal. Wait until turn four or five depending on if i had coin and usually can take down most decks accolaite gives me card draw.
Exacavated evil, weasel, death lord combo OP. also, you guys HAVE to try Elise.
Isn't it funny how much work they put into last weeks brawl and how *comparatively* little they put into this one, this one ended up being so much more fun and re playable.
Holy shit, i need more videos on this brawl, this is actually amazing.
a deck to try with is Deathlord which is the best way to eliminate all creatures within an opponent's deck
The insta-kill combo: Flamewalkers + Gadgetzan Auctioneer + Sorcerer's Apprentice + any draw card
Keep drawing the 1mana discover cards and destroy opponent with flamewaler damage.
I played mini Reno Warlock and then Druid OTK Malygos with Reno aswell and i had a lot of fun! :)
Surprised he didnt mention the deathlord potential
should've picked sorc apprentice at 5:45, to make arcane intellects from peruses free, thus getting almost close to perfect hand, with sufficient apm
Secret Paladin with Steward of Darkshire and Weasel Tunneler. I ground out a preist and gave him a million weasels
*Cult Master is a good choice as well
I see your taking advantage of infinite combo with Arcane Giant Eh? You should try using it with Yog, its 50 50 % chance of winning but a 100% of pure entertainment.
That last game was insane
JadeReno druid got reckt to my Barnes Yolo Druid deck. Innervate, Barnes, Stormwind Champion + Deathrattle fun. Reno might heal you full and you have fancy 9/9, 10/10, 11/11 minions, but that doesn't help if Barnes gives you a Stomwind Champion on a 5 Minion 25 Damage board. Truly a tale of terrible tragedy.
I played 5 consecutive yoggs in 1 game this morning, and even though I still lost the game because it was one of those otk freeze mages, it was still fucking awesome.
I had fun with a great otk warrior. Raging Wargen and the enablers, won most games turn 4 XD
Shaman jade evolve was pretty fun to play.
i miss skipperino kripperino
bobo me too :(
Kripp's neck must be so strong to support so much head movement
I actually went with a rogue patches build, where i want to put more patches in my deck, then unleash damage upon my foe with ships cannon.
it isn't the best strategy but using deathlords and removal to get rid of enemy threats is fun. I would suggest shaman if you want to do it because it has jade cards which scale crazy well and hex which is the cheapest consistent hard removal card in the game.
"damn, c'thun's pretty baller"
buff paladin is pretty fun too because you can always bran buff the hsit outta dopplegangster
Should have tried warrior, Weapon warrior with pirates and Upgrades is pretty strong. So is Taunt warrior with Bolster and Stolen Goods. I also played a modified version of Chancey Priest with Emporer that performed rather well,.
i'm sad i missed this brawl, so much potential,
I just want to say that there is a way to have 20 cards if you play prince malchezaar in the deck and in the start of the game you draw him and then you have one in the hand and the deck and then you have 10 more legendary cards
I played against Deadlord, After a few rounds I only discovered my fireball, firelands portal and frost bolt. That didn't really work out against a spell deck..
Mage is so toxic to this tavern brawl. Heres a decklist
1. Mana wyrm (for early board control, choose 1)
2. Arcane missles (for auctioneer combo)
3. Mirror entity (protection)
4. Sorcerer's Apprentice (blizzard should've banned this)
5 Arcane Intelligence (your main draw engine)
6. Frost nova (to invalidate your opponent's board)
7. Forgotten torch (because more fireballs)
8. Fireball (because fireball)
9. Gadgetzan Auctioneer (this + apprentice + 1 mana spell = full hand)
10. the 2 mana 1/1 that draws you one. (i forgot her name. play on turn 2 and hold peruse)
I've only seen this deck lose to mirror match or to unexpected ice blocks. Have fun bursting your opponent from 30.
Leper Gnome Combo Rogue is really fun and quite decent in this brawl
I'd love to see more of this!
Beneath the grounds is a great card to throw in. Helps make their discover shittier and if you play on turn 3 stops kaza on turn 4
I am REALLY supprised that there is no astral communion deck with just big mminions (deathwing, alekstraza, etc..).. I was 13-1 with that deck and the loss was vs a mirror match..
It seems better to me than the C'thun
Malygos shaman with Ancestor spirit was amazing, almost 95% winrate
Beast Hunter with Rag and Sylvannas smashed everything for me
This actually gives me a cool idea. They should keep this mechanic and add it to a new Legendary's battlecry. Have like a high mana, poor stat legendary that's battlecry replaces your drawing mechanic for the rest of the game. Essentially instead of drawing each turn, you will discover from your next 3 cards, like tracking. But you won't discard the other 2, and your deck will be reshuffled after every draw.
U mean ponder?
...huh?
The very end made laugh hard!
I did jade druid, with the preuse, innervate and jade idol I would hit increadible numbers
Weasel is Amazing in this tavern brawl. Counters Reno and all reno-like mechanics if you play two of them.
Nope. You can only discover 1 card of the same tipe. Even if they have 20 tunelers in their deck they will only discover 1 each time
same for beneath
Yes but it counters reno and reno-like mechanics. Having 2 in their deck stops reno from working
Quinn Foerter so does beneath the grounds as he said above..
Yes. I was thinking about messing their draws, wich you can't. Of course reno is dislabed.
This is honestly one of my favorite tavern brawls. I actually have the cards to play it :D
Try yogg out in this brawl. So much fun!
Business Sloth Finally! A fellow yogg player!
Also OTK Priest (Velen/Emperor/Mindblast)
My dream ends your nightmare begins! 22:20
That is indeed be A NIGHTMARE MADE FLESH for GrumpyKitten.
After video death metal: Nightmare made flesh - Bloodbath
White eyes was very fun in this tavern brawl
I played kazakuz reno priest and blade of cthun rogue, really fun brwal imho
i kinda feel this brawl is an upcoming card mechanic on the next expansion
jo lelis what mechanic?? discover a card from your deck? that would just be a variation on the already existing discover mechNix4
Bob NotRealNameMan my bad...i meant to say like instead of a draw, discovering cards from deck..
Hmm, just thought about deck thinning deck, with mage, secret mage, 8 secrets and the other two cards are frost bolt and Ice lance only. lol
Deathlord is really useful since you can get rid of all your opponents minions
That last one is hilarious
Was playing freeze mage on this tavern brawl ;) just discover a bunch of ice lances 100% winrate
This is in my opinion one of the best brawl to date. I wish they could make it a new special type of match, and just ban couple of cards which are too powerfull.
