Gonna be honest, your channel is pretty much one of the better channels that do reactions out there. You don't make the whole video about the video you're reacting to, you guys often will talk about what the video will be covering first. Then after the video, you'll talk about it and often move on to other interesting topics. I have good respect for you guys because your channel doesn't seem like a parasite that leeches off of bigger youtubers' videos. I am able to learn new things during each video. I don't typically like the standard reaction channels(they're a guilty pleasure of mine), but you guys are one of the only channels to do it the right way, because you're able to treat the viewers to something outside of what they were expecting in addition to seeing your reactions to the video. Keep up the good work!
Actually given how the gauntlet smokes and is charred from just killing half of all sentient life doubling all resources would be beyond the gauntlets ability.
Dragon Warhammer well let's keep in mind you're talking about the gauntlet and not the stones it might not be beyond the stones abilities but the gauntlet which was made to use them does have limits so if You Were Somehow able to use the stones without the gauntlet you probably wouldn't have a problem
Right. I think several hints were dropped as to the gauntlets capabilities and limitations. For example, most of Thanos' uses of the reality stone would revert when he stopped concentrating on them.
They clearly wanted to keep the gauntlet in theme with Marvel's sci-fi centric universe. Also, true omnipotence, like unrestricted time travel, can too easily break ongoing story telling.
well it would be beyond the movie versions ability. the comic one is so much more op. in fact the infinity gauntlet erased the entire universe. literally everything. it was just an empty void. and it was still able to bring it all back. and it was still functional after that.

Agreed. But unless an object more powerful than the infinity gauntlet was created it would be impossible to do something like doubling all resources. Thanos is powerful enough to hold the stones but i doubt he can use more than 1 at a time without something to channel and control the stones power.
yea they heavily nerfed it in the mcu. i dont think it had any limits in the comics. beside for beings more powerful like the living tribunal.
well and they also only work in their own respective universe. as each universe has their own that only work in that universe

reason to want immortality for yourself, you would get to see the entire world as it advances further and further. Reason to want immortality for everyone, the longer someone lives, the more experience you get, meaning if everyone lives forever, then we can truly reach maximum understanding of everything around us. though what would be the price of immortality? inability to have children? giving up a physical body? or becoming something else? with the final question, would it be worth it?
the problem I have with that "we still have the technology to work with" thing is that, Thanos erased everyone at random, who knows who got erased. I mean what if all the people working for Nasa were wiped out or the people working on the Hadron Collider or people who are the only ones who know how to use a certain thing

True. And since the gauntlet was charred from destroying a few quadrillion lives. Doubling the resources would probobly be beyond it and destroy the gauntlet without success. The stones arent as powerful in the mcu as they are in the comics.
Isn't the universe infinite? He could just combine atoms to make resources, even when the universe isn't endless, it's big enough for everyone :D

I think the problem with doubling resources with the gauntlet is that we don't know if the gems operate using the laws of physics when it comes to what they can and cannot manipulate. To be clear the time stone may operate on physics just physics we don't understand as of yet. Also the space stone basically created wormholes which is a thing. My point is if the reality stone operates on physics then we can assume that if it were to double resources on a planet it would have to double the mass of that planet to compensate and have more places for those resources to occur. However on those same physics doubling planetary mass would have massive fatal implications on the whole of the population because life wouldn't survive on a heavier planet. The added gravity would crush us. So unless the reality stone could bypass that pitfall and prevent either a doubling of planetary mass or prevent a doubling of gravitational pull I don't think doubling the resources is a viable option at least for earth

I have a theory that is based of the idea that was put forth by the writers of the movie. The writers said that Avengers 4 will not solve anything. The people that are gone are gone and are not coming back. Well how can that be if there is definitely going to be another Black Panther, Spider-man and Guardians movie? My theory is that he didn't just blink out half the universe he created a new one (with the Reality Stone) and moved half the Universe (with the Soul Stone) to the new one. So now there is a Universe A and Universe B which is identical to Universe A. Those next movies in the respective franchises will take place in Universe B and will deal with the chaos of that resulted in half the universe being gone. Governments that once existed are now gone. And there are power vacuums to be filled. Like Universe A no longer has a Black Panther so who is in charge of Wakanda and Universe B has a Black Panther but half his subjects are gone, the ones he still has are going to angry that he wasn't able to protect them/keep families together etc and may not help him if there is a challenge to his power and of course villains will be after the Vibranium which everyone knows that Wakanda has now.

Overpopulation is a theory based on probabilistic sampling. Statistic shows that it is possible, but not sure, the UN has reports of different futures. Making a genocide based on scientific sampling theory was what Hitler did with the racial theory widely accepted by 19th-century scientists, and Mao with the same idea as Thanos, which is largely accepted today.
Only the future can be said a superpopulation is true, for now is just an idea. It's an idea that shows the bad side of people.

Considering they reacted to this in 2018 and it’s now 2021 almost 2022, looking at the population alone of the usa, it is now 333,818,351. Which comes to show we actually did have a drop in popularity due to our secondary Black Plague aka(COVID). And our population will continue decrease faster then increase due to natural deaths, accidents and crime then increase by birth. Because people die every day by one of these 3 things so for every 3, 1 to 2 kids are born. So 80k deaths of COVID deaths. We might be over 300m now but there has been 80k deaths by COVID alone. So the population in the usa could drop easily.
