You wonder why this ritual became tradition, why no adventurers have made the journey to slay the beast, and why they didn't slaughter your village despite you being late tonight.
It's raining. You're cold. Your clothes are covered in mud. And to truly send your heart into despair, you can see someone waiting by the gate of the manor, their eyes locked on you.
