Udupi is an amazing city. Friendly people and a very clean city. You could have travelled to Udupi from Mangalore in a private bus. They are super fast and one leaves from Mangalore to Udupi every 10 minutes.

Funfact... Dont expect similar luxury of empty berths in other trains because Managlore Udipi route is popular for speedy buses as train stations are generally far away from destinations.
Caution: while travelling in this cheaper train coaches dont keep your things near windows.

Regarding your question: why a lot of hotels are called Udupi hotels.
Its because a lot of cooks from Udupi and surrounding regions are good cooks, hoteliers and they migrated to many towns, cities and even states.
Lot of the quick service hotels you find in Bangalore or mysore are run by people who trace back their origin to Udupi / kundapura region
Sometimes they are named after Udupi Krishna, the main deity of Udupi

South states are more developed and wealthy because:
    1. All the foreign invaders came to north first, as north indian temples have more wealth then many cities in world (south also have rich temple)
    2. South kings were more powerful and in stabled position comparatively, so they kept foreign invaders away.
    3. Due to being more stabled than north they paid more attention in education, it and all.
    4. Also the government after independence was stable.
    5. They give priority to there local things , local language, local business which north people don't they gave more priority to english other than local indian language, they gave priority to English education system other than indian, they gave priority to work in foreign other than working in indian companies and organization to boost local economy
Happy that these things have started changing north has also started development like noida, gurugram etc ❤❤❤❤❤

Point 1 is not true. South spent a hundred years fighting all the different European colonisers while you dealt with Sultanates. The little Kingdom of Travancore in Kerala is the reason why you are not speaking Dutch, French or Portuguese today. Ask anyone from Indonesia, Philippines, Vietnam or Cambodia. All the other European colonisers were much more brutal and genocidal than the British.

This Congress's freight equalisation policy basically ensured that all minerals and raw materials could be transported anywhere in India and the freight would be subsidised by the government. So a ton of coal would cost the same whether it was mined in Bihar. It destroyed the competitive advantage of the resource rich states(Bihar and Jharkhand) and incentivised industries to set up nearer markets, or ports. While they are landlocked states. The east Indian states suffered including Bengal. As far as Bihar, it destroyed any incentive to industrialise. Tatas would set up jamshedpur in the 1920s in Bihar because the iron ore and coal were there. But with freight equalisation it didn't matter where the factory was because the cost of the raw materials were the same anywhere in the country. Companies also received incentive for their investments in Southern states having access to the coast. This is the actual reason.
It's sanding to see fellow Indians bashing their own people for something which they had no control over.

Great VLOG! I like your happy go lucky attitude towards traveling! The attitude can make a difference on how much you get out of your travel! You are at the place from where foodie entrepreneurs went across India to setup South Indian Udupi style restaurants! Try to get a breakfast at Woodlands restaurant - Banana Buns (also known as Mangalore buns kind of sweet and savory), Moode Idly (Idlis wrapped in bamboo leaves), Neer Dosa (very thin variety of Dosa), Sheera (sweet dish), Shavige (A vermicelli & milk dessert). You can't go wrong with the South Indian Thali for lunch at Woodlands too.
Have a masala Dosa at Mitra Samaj in Udupi also known as the birth place for that dish.

Next time i will surely visit other cities like frankfurt, stuttgart, munich and duesseldorf and definitely south germany for great nature and food:)
Btw I really enjoyed the food in my
Germany trip like currywurst, bratwurst, pretzel, beer and more.
The only problem was the german language because some people did not speak english.
    But it was great😊

Its off season time for Goa. If you wish to be in slightly crowded place then stay in Baga or Calangute beach. If you wish to stay among the hippes than stay at Arambol beach which may be isolated now✅

Glad you guys are visiting Mangalore and udupi, both are my native places. Most foreigners miss such places in Indian especially places from south india, they only mostly see the north part of India, areas which r very dirty and more crowded and people are not so decent. Suggest you all to explore and experience south India. You ll not regret visiting India

Indian trains are swiftly changing. Soon you won’t able to see these coaches. They are getting an upgrade. Those will be more comfortable with good services.

  • @raveendhana7084
    @raveendhana7084 Před 5 měsíci

Indian railways does not manufacture these type of trains anymore and this train is called the " ICF" type and these are heavy and has more iron content which leads to rusting and in case of accident the compatments gets into each other and lot of life loss will be there.
To eradicate it they bought the lhb trains which is a German coach manufactured here with technology transfer,
Lhb is known to be light and no iron content , made of stainless steel and it does not climb into eachother in case of accident , thus saving lives
So most premium trains are now converted to lhb and in future all the shatabdi trains ( means full ac train) will be converted to vandae bharath trains.
