I know a lot of you guys have just decided on colleges or are deciding, so I wanted to share some advice. These are all things I wish someone shared with me before I entered college!! Things are crazy right now but I hope everyone is doing well :’) Stay home and stay safe everyone ~(˘▾˘~)

hi serena! i'll be going into my sophomore year at uci but your video still helped a lot, especially the parts about early graduation! i am very far ahead in my credits and had an academic advising appt about possible early graduation and was basically told that it can't happen since i'll still need additional credits, but they never once talked about summer courses or CC classes as a possible means of fulfilling those credits. because of this video i will schedule another appt and push harder for an early grad. thank you!

Simply Elena aww thank you! thank you :) I’m glad ur enjoying my videos 🥺🥺 so i’m actually supposed to be a junior rn but I am graduating a year early :’) I came in with only 24 units but i took 16 units every single quarter! My major also had a lot of overlapping courses which made it easier for me to complete the major requirements faster!
ohhh and for summer and community courses, I mostly took them online so that I didn’t have to drive to school and it was a lot more convenient :)

I‘m going to uci this fall as a freshman, but I have social science undeclared major, is that will effect the difficulty of switching my major? Cuz I just found out I wanna stay in social science school now😭 I really want to study computer science.

As an person enroll in aerospace engineering major, I laugh so hard when I hear u say astronomy was fun 😂. Like even for us, its still hella tricky
Hey Serena, I’m in CC rn and working my arse off and I’m crying everyday because of the amount of stress I am having from the classes I’m required to take to be qualified for TAG to UCI. Is it possible that I could switch my major to Bus Admin if I’m TAGGED as Bus Econ?
I graduated from UCI in 2018. I also transferred from a community college and honestly I didn’t find it that difficult to get into the school. I did two years at cc and two years at uci so I was able to finish in 4 years total. Personally I found the work load to be manageable when I was at cc and even at UCI although I will say that getting adjusted to the quarter system from a semester system is a little hard at first since the quarter system moves so fast. And as far as changing majors I actually changed my major to something different from what I initially got accepted into but it was within the same school and the majors were very similar so I had already taken most of the same classes. You should be able to do the same but just talk to a guidance counselor. Hope this helps!
hiiii! i’m an incoming freshman for fall 2020 and i’m currently going in as an undeclared major and i was wondering if you knew if it was possible to switch to public health sciences during SPOP! i loved your video!!! :)
Naomi Lai hellooo!! yes! from what I remember everyone splits into “workshops” by majors and as an u declared you can switch to public health!! but make sure to do it during spop :’) because i heard undeclared have to make an appointment if they don’t do it during SPOP but it’s still really easy!! ^_^

:) How's the work load/academic rigor at UCI (talking about GE classes)?
If you take the right classes, it can be suuuuper easy for GEs!! For example, under the science category, you can either take a physics course OR a gardening course. taking the gardening course would be the move cause it’s soooo easy and it’s a fun course too!!

Yes of course! So I graduated in 2 1/2 years. I took courses that overlapped in both my majors, but I also took courses that overlapped with my GEs! I took a minimum of four classes every quarter and did every single summer session. AND I took a few community college courses that helped with credit and GEs.
