Thanks so much for watching 😊 what do you think, would you want to visit Safety Harbor?
And if you are at all interested in gear, how do you think our new camera did in the wind at the pier? We were really impressed!
You guys always recommend the most amazing coffee houses, restaurants and breweries. I'm beginning to think that Florida is the land of good beer and food! It all looks so delicious...the "you had me at bacon" sandwich, the nachos and tacos you had for dinner and of course, the yummy beer. I can't believe there is a beer that tastes like sour patch kids! The vibrant art scene in Safety Harbor is so unique and that huge live oak tree is so beautiful. The city truly is a hidden gem.
It was our first encounter with a sour patch kids beer as well, and hopefully not our last!
Thank you for this video. My friend in the Tampa Bay area keeps talking about wanting to move to this neighborhood.
We don't blame them, Deb. We've considered moving there ourselves!
There are so many cool smaller municipalities in Pinellas County including Safety Harbor.
Could not agree more!
It's like I'm there with you. I'm so cooped up. I tend to live vicariously through video nowadays. Thank you!
Well we are so glad that we can provide you with a little getaway now and then!
Variety is nice! You do get beached out after a while. Looks like Safety Harbor has a lot to explore. Loved the art center and the murals. So cool! Those beers sound so unique and tasty! And whimsyland it so colorful. Nice finds guys!
Glad to hear someone else can relate to getting beached out. I think most people think we are crazy!😄
Beautiful! It’s really a hidden gem for sure! It’s beautiful and vintage! The whimzeland is awesome! I have added this place to my bucket list! Thanks for sharing! Happy weekend!
Whimzeyland is one-of-a-kind, and certainly bucket-list worthy. Thanks so much for watching!!
Love that tree at 5:40! It looks incredible, good to see it’s protected.
Those sandwiches look amazing, good job doing a half and half combo the salad looked pretty good with it too.
Safety harbour looks so nice and local, so different to all the big chain businesses we’re used to seeing in Florida.
That tree really was amazing. We were happy to see that it was protected too!
Thx for the video, nice vibes 😎
Thanks! We really enjoyed making this one. Such a cool city!
She has a voice to be a professional narrator. Soothing, calming and no annoying UMM, UH EH. Any city or corporation advertising for their beaches or products should hire this chic.
Hey Michael. I (Skylar) have been telling her for a while that she needs to start looking into finding some voice-over work. We're not really sure how to even begin the process, but we're going to look into it sooner or later. Thanks so much for watching and for taking the time to comment!
Looks like a place we'll have to put on our bucket list 👍
It's certainly a unique place and one we'd recommend anyone visit!
Great video! Thank you.
Our pleasure. Thank you for watching!
Thank you for the Explorcation Video...glad you enjoyed your day in the Harbor...come back soon!
We sure will, Matthew. Thanks so much for watching!
the lunch looks good and i like the beer. the waterfront park is so amazing, i enjoyed a lot in this video
We are glad you enjoyed it and appreciate the support!
I've been to Florida many times but I've never been to Safety Harbor. It looks really cute & that tree is amazing!! Love your channel. So glad I found it! :)
We are so glad you found it too, Chrissy! You should definitely check out Safety Harbor sometime. We were pleasantly surprised by how much we enjoyed our day there! Great change of pace from the city and the beaches.
I used to live in Madeira beach but I never wandered to Safety Harbor... Enjoyed your video as always ! Thanks guys !!!
Thanks so much for your continued support, Deb. If you ever do get a chance to visit Safety Harbor, we'd certainly recommend it!
There's literally so many things to do in Florida!! The misaic and wimsee places are so woerd and unique! This little town reminds me of Winter Garden but a little more funky 😍 Lol... love the clips that didn't make the cut! Always fun adding those in oh and no need to edit lol
👋👋
-Ashley from Adventure Encounters
It's a funky place no doubt! We'll have to visit Winter Garden sometime!
You guys always seem to try the best coffee shops, restaurants, and breweries. Safety Harbor looks amazing, we would love to walk down by the pier. The art center houses look so cute and Whimzeyland looks unreal. Looks like theres so many cool things to do in the area!
It sure did have a good variety of things to do. And yeah, Whimzeyland truly was unreal!
catch in the piggy bank 35👍🤝
I would definitely visit Safety Harbour! Looks like a beautiful spot by the water but not a beach day - which my husband would approve of 🤣. Those beers sounded interesting, I've never had a sour patch flavoured one before. The art installations seemed really cool. And that second brewery seemed great with the kitty waiter 🤣. I love cats. That Mexican food looked great 👍
Yeah, the cat left a bit to be desired as a waiter, but was still pretty cool to drink a few beers with 😅
When I think of the Tampa Bay area, I just think of Tampa, St. Petersburg, and Clearwater but your videos have opened my eyes to other cities and towns in the area. I was so surprised to see Portuguese bread on the menu at The Sandwich Shop on Main (I hope I got the name right). The city where I live up north has a very heavy Portuguese influence with over 40% of the population being of Portuguese descent (myself included). I'm sure there are other cities in the US that have a Portuguese population but I haven't come across one in my travels or watching CZcams videos. The food at the last restaurant you went to looked so good! My mom is obsessed with trees so she would LOVE that oak tree.
Yeah, I don't think you're alone in having only thought of those three cities. We have been exploring the area for a couple years now and still are discovering new places all the time! I never knew that a city in America existed with 40% Portuguese decent. That's pretty amazing! I'm not sure we've ever experienced Portuguese bread, but next time I see it on a menu, we will surely try it! There used to be a Portuguese restaurant in St. Pete when we first moved here, but unfortunately it closed down during COVID. I'm not sure how large of a Portuguese population we have here, but I'd sure love it if we had more Portuguese food options around! And we loved that oak tree. It was huge and amazing!
Can always count on an awesome video from you guys with all the best coffee food beer. What a windy day on the harbor, at least some were able to wind surf, not as fun when you're kayaking though haha.
I know, I guess we may have to learn how wind surf to make the most of those windy days!
Guys this was an amazing video catering for Adam (beer) Kelby (coffee) haha you guys. Safety harbour looks like such an awesome place to explore, so much to do and look at, your day out there looked like the best time ever.
I think my favorite would be walking around the waterfront park and then poping in at Whimzypark, it's so cool.
Glad we could entertain you both! It really had such a great variety of things to do and was a nice break from the beach.
Safety Harbor looked so cool! The cafe looked so cute and some of those breakfast items on the menu board sounds delicious! The brewery looked fab too - can always count on your for a good brewery and beer recommendation ☺️ would definitely want to check it out ourselves. The pier looked like a lovely place to go for a sunny walk too. Would love to go kayaking there, even with the wind
Yup, if there's one thing you can count on us for, it's drinking all the local beer 😂
My uncle and aunt actually own and created whimzeyland ❤️ you guys should do John’s pass on Madeira beach next
Edit: just noticed Madeira beach in the link lol
@@tylerramquist9262 that is awesome, we really enjoyed our time at Whimzyland, your uncle and aunt have really created something special 😊 happy to know you enjoy John's Pass too!
Looks like a great beach alternative as you mention...and yet another area for us to check out! Didn't they get hit with some flooding during the last hurricane...I hope everyone is okay and things are back to normal for the area.
We really do love Safety Harbor. The only thing they're missing is a great beach, but at least Clearwater Beach and Honeymoon Island isn't too far of a drive away.
Nice place
Thanks, James. We had a fun time exploring it!
Awesome! Love It! ❤️
Thanks! Safety Harbor really exceeded our expectations!
Fancy running into you two in Gulfport today! Looking forward to the next episode :) make sure you stop in at the Gulfport brewery and eatery. They have few sours on the menu 🤗
It was so nice to meet you Don 😊 thanks for saying hi, we really appreciate it.
We will definitely be checking out the Gulfport brewery...and probably trying at least one of those sours!
It looks really cool! A very pretty place :)
Thank you. We really enjoyed it!
full video preview 🙌🙌
Thank you so much for watching, Larisa!
Renting a gingerbread house by the Bay. Niiiiiice!!
Yeah I bet it would be a really cool house to stay in. We would love to see the inside.
Safety Harbor looks really amazing. There is so much to do! Those sandwiches look so tasty and we actually feel like making something similar for lunch. You guys have inspired us😁. And Troubled Water Brewey looks like my (Craig) type of place. I would definitely go for the Mango Habenero Pale Ale. How was it? It really sounds amazing!
Awesome video guys!😁
So glad to hear we could be such an inspiration to your lunch plans 😅
good video keep up the good work
Thank you for the support!
Pretty good video, but you missed a few key attractions (I live in Safety Harbor). Philippe Park, Sips Wine Bar, Gigglewaters, the Safety Harbor Spa, BarFly, Folly Farm, a few of some of the storefronts on Main. A quick mention of these places instead of so much walking on the boardwalk would have been nice. But again, pretty good video. And nice to see so much of Whimzeyland and SHAMC. Thanks!
Thanks so much for your comment Linda. You are right, we sure didn't make it everywhere we wanted to. Thanks so much for sharing some of the spots that we missed. It was our first time to Safety Harbor and absolutely loved it, there was soo much to do :)
Omg the cat 🥰🥰🥰
We love when breweries have cats to keep us company. It's surprisingly not that uncommon around here! Thanks for watching, Heather.
I got married Philippi park by the Indian Mountain Baa k in1986 .My was. Cynthia Welsch and I married Mark VISCOME .I was raised Safety Harbor .
That's great. Thanks so much for taking the time to share your story, Cindy!
Safety Harbor looks cool. You should continue south and visit Sarasota and south all the way down to Naples.
It really was a cool place to visit. We actually lived in Sarasota for 6 years before moving to St. Pete, and we just recently posted videos on Siesta Key, Lido Key, and Longboat Key. We'd love for you to check those videos out too. Thanks for watching!
@@Explorcation I'm currently going thru all your videos. Excellent job thanks
@@vintageguy6520 thanks so much for your support, we really appreciate it :)
@@Explorcation Keep up the good work. Did you visit Venice, Englewood and Boca Grande when you lived in Sarasota? That's my favorite area.
@@vintageguy6520 thank you :) when we lived in Sarasota we did visit Venice several times. I would say we only drove through Englewood and visited Boca Grande once. We had a great time when we did visit. One day we hope to create and share videos of those areas too.
How did you miss Philippe Park!!
It was on our list, but just not enough time in a day unfortunately.
Goodness those cranes are tall!
They were the biggest ones we'd ever seen!
Could you do a show on The Secrete Garden at Upham Beach? One of our favorite places..
Thanks for the suggestion, Ed. We really enjoy that place too, and will try to include it in our next St. Pete Beach Video!
Was that a Crooked Thumbs up on the beers?
LOL it definitely was.
Are there any beaches in safety harbor for swimming?
It’s called alligator lake because it’s shaped like an alligator
No kidding? I guess that explains why we didn't see any actual alligator's. Your response prompted us to pull up an aerial map of the lake. It definitely takes a little squinting... but we do see what could resemble an alligator 😂. Thanks for the valuable info and for watching, Les.
What ...no desserts???
When we go back to visit there is a Cheesecake restaurant next to the coffee shop that we really want to try out! There's a bakery we heard is really good also!
A well made video "but" SH itself is one of those places you say.."wow it has a lot of potential"... Been there many times and each time leave saying the same thing.
I get what you're saying, Evan. For towns of its size around here, we can't think of any others we'd rather spend a day in. But as is the case with any city, there's certainly potential for improvement.
@@Explorcation My parents and grandparents fell in love with the old Clearwater Beach and lived there for years after they retired. All are gone. When my father decided to buy a house after yrs on CLWTR Beach he looked for a town to live near (town center). He selected Palm Harbor and we always enjoyed it and ofc. Dunedin so I get your "drift" :-) So true...
@@evanandriopoulos3931 we actually haven't even explored Palm Harbor yet, could be a good destination for a future video, thanks Evan!
