In June I'll be heading down from Chicago to Indian Shores for a week, followed by Siesta Key for a week. I love all your videos on both of those locations and can't wait for you to return there as well. I really enjoyed this episode....it was so informative! Visiting one of the Florida springs to paddle or tube is definitely on my to-do list. Those turtles and otters swimming were so cute....the snake, not so much!! 😆
Thank you Ramune! Hoepfully on your next trip you can visit one :) We love seeing all of the willdlife, especially the otters! I am not a big fan of snakes either, but seeing Peaches was pretty cool. The staff do a good job of making sure she has space for her morning walk 😆

Excellent video! Those are all great springs, but my favorite springs are the ones most people don’t know about that are more out there in the wilds. We have 1,100 springs in this state, not including sinks. Sinks have crystal-clear water in them as well. Then you have siphons and swallets.
I have the feeling we would enjoy some of those lesser known springs the most as well! One of these days we may have to go looking for some of them, but just to enjoy on our own and not to share on the channel!
I like these natural springs videos. Someday I want to go to one.

I’ve been to nearly all these springs but I’ve only kayaked Wekiwa Springs. I’ve never been to Rainbow Springs and I think that’s the one I would enjoy the most to paddle on.
We hope you are able to plan a Rainbow Springs paddle soon! What did you think of the Wekiwa Springs paddle? We heard you can paddle all the way to Wekiva Island if you want!
Yet another funny story. I took the girlfriend to Gatorland the day before the kayak trip. My first trip ever but far from my first time hearing the very distinct sound of a gator growl. We paddled several miles upstream on a very narrow waterway loaded with gator slides and gator sounds on both sides. She eventually caught on and jammed her paddle in the sand and said we are heading back. We rented a 2 person kayak at Wekiva Island . We never saw a gator close up but there were plenty all around.
It was beautiful until CZcams found out about it

Awesome video. I've visited all of the springs on your list, and while these are all great, there are others perhaps even nicer in Central Florida. I'd recommend the springs of Ocala Forest: Silver Glen, Alexander, and Juniper/Fern Hammock. Another good one is Chasahowitzka south of Spring Hill where the brave (or fool hardy) can swim under ground between the spring vents.
Please do a video of the equally beautiful springs of North Florida.
Thanks so much for watching and taking the time to share some of your knowledge and experiences, Gordon! We absolutely plan to visit some of the springs in Ocala Forest in the future. Unfortunately when we do, there may be no video, as it's a National Forest and as of now it's still not permitted to film monetized videos in a national forest. Perhaps that may change in the future though. We'll definitely get up to some of the more northern springs sooner or later too. The thought of swimming under ground between spring vents sounds a bit scary, but I'd probably give it a try!
@@Explorcation I believe that while the Ocala springs are embedded within a national forest the springs and property immediately them is owned by the State of Florida or the St. John River Water Management District. You may want to check on their status in regards to filming.
Also, I forgot to mention Salt Springs, also surrounded by Ocala Forest.
