At the ballpark for numbers 71 and 72, bought a commemorative t-shirt immediately after number 71, only to come back to my seat for number 72. Second to last game of the season. Damn, he went and hit number 73 the next day. How amazing he was. I also saw numbers 500, 600, and 715. Long-time season ticket holder. Almost every time I brought a friend from out of town, he hit another.

Most home runs by a player in history and single season record for home runs. Most MVPs by a player all time. I was against anyone who had ties to PEDs getting in but my opinion has changed and evolved over the years and with players who did PEDs already in the hall of fame and with David Ortiz getting in, you now must put the players that weren’t nice and did steroids in too. So everyone now belongs in. Barry Bonds should be in, Roger Clemens should be in, Alex Rodriguez should be in, Mark McGwire should be in, Sammy Sosa should be in, Gary Sheffield should be in, Manny Ramirez should be in, Andy Pettitte should be in, and Rafael Palmiero should be in. Doesn’t take away from how great he was. People try to say steroids were the reason he was such a great hitter/player and that’s just ludicrous. He was one of the best players to ever play even before the steroids. The steroids just extended his career and gave him some extra power. People also seem to forget that more then half the mlb was using steroids at this time and if steroids make you that much better, then why wasn’t everyone that was using steroids doing what he did? Because Bond’s was already the best before the steroids.
