i had black screen and so sound when i saw this video i was like should i try to change my HDMI cable and try another one but i and boom problem solved thank you man
Interesting and helpful video, but I had real problems with your cut away oblique shots. I think if you are going to do that you need to make the perspective very different. Your second camera is too close to the first. There's a rule we used to use involving angles and percentages, a bit like 180 degree rule. I wish I could remember the values! Anyway, good luck, and thanks for the information!
Thank you Franco! Theoretically it can be. But green short lines remind me about the problem I recently had with my Sony LED TV. Afterwards the problem appeared to be with motherboard :(
I am gonna try to change the cable. I Will tell you if that fixed the problem. I am sure that it is not the MB because i tested it on my notebook and also happened
hi there is a white bar under the taskbar in win11, you know what this may be the cause. at 75hz it is visible and at 60hz it is not. I have a philips 273v monitor bought in summer a year ago and the card is rtx 3070 zotac twin edge bought in september this year
I recently got a new monitor and the hdmi cable I use for it is from an xbox series, I had to send it back and get another one and it has the same pixel in the same place, would it be my hdmi cable whats causing it
I'm sure it's been too long so you probably won't see this but if so I could use some help. My sister has a drawing tablet with a 3 to 1 cable and the tablet's colors have gone mute (not completely black and white). A new cable is $40 so we're trying to find a way to see if it is actually the cable before buying a new one. Any suggestions
Can a bad hdmi cord cause ticking sound bc when I get on my ps4 and play certain games like the new mw2 I get like a faint ticking sound in the background
I had my ps5 for 2 weeks now and game were running great on my 4ktv and now it stills run great but everytime u can see the blackness in background and each game which never happen before is because I never turn my TV off
Interesting.. Thanks for sharing Arturo. Our assumption is TV backlight burn out in this case. Did you try switching to another HDMI? Another possible theory - HDR settings in your PS5 console that are not suitable with your TV
Thanks for the info. I just bought a new HDMI cable to connect to my M2 Mac Mini and Samsung monitor and it flickers when I touched the head of the HDMI itself and sometimes it goes blackout and I had to touch and shake the head of the HDMI a bit then the picture came back on again! So I went to buy another HDMI cable and the issues had been resolved! I was wondering that it's a new cable, how can it be faulty??
When I play a fps shooter and I turn around you can see the colours look washed out, when I turn back it looks normal. You think it's about the hdmi cable??? Thank you
It means that your operation system knows very few details about the model of your monitor (display). Theoretically you could install native drivers for this device, but if it works well - I wouldn't recommend this. Popping up in Bluetooth devices is weird, unless it has Bluetooth speakers built in
50 ft is a long cable for HDMI. I noticed that only expensive 50 ft HDMI cables are managing okay. Besides that Bluray movies might be in 4K resolution and high bit rate, which is also difficult to transfer via HDMI on a long distance. The most effective way to check if the problem is with your long HDMI is to take short HDMI and see if the cut outs persist..
Gday my Xbox doesn’t connect to my tv anymore and I don’t know if it’s the hdmi cable or the console, is this a common problem with hdmi cables and consoles? Cheers
Hi Jack! It is a common problem specifically with consoles, because usually they transmit signal in high resolution at a high bit rate. With time HDMI cables may degrade and not allow this 'heavy' signal to transmit. This is why we recommend to check HDMI cable firsthand. There's no guarantee that the problem is with HDMI, but it is easiest to check
I just bought this monitor on december 21,2021 and 3 months later the monitor is flickering, at first i thought it was a faulty driver, but i have my mom laptop laying around so i use the hdmi and monitor in the laptop to see the problem.1 hour later the screen is flickering so now i found the problem.

There are two most probable reasons: 1) your HDMI loses signal from time to time 2) monitor is losing power and turning on and off. If you have power indicator somewhere on your display - you can exclude the second reason
It is quite possible Joshua! And the reason is that some of your TVs might support XBox top resolution and frame rate, which requires wider cable bandwidth = better HDMI cable. It means that 4K 60FPS needs better HDMI cable than 1080p 25FPS. Hope it helps ;)
i have a problem that my picture on my monitor flicker( picture jumps) and i have to unplugg my cable from my grafics card for it to stop. Cant see any sign of bent pins and the cable has no damage And everything is connected properly from what i can see. What to do?
The first step that I would suggest is to try the new HDMI cable from your other devices to see if the easiest solution is the proper one. Otherwise there might be issues with 1) your graphics card port 2) your monitor input port
First of all we would advise to check your HDMI cable - please try another signal source or another display. Anything will work - projector, another TV, computer monitor..
Owen, try checking your HDMI cable with other source devices (media player, laptop - anything you have on hand). It will help you figure out if the problem is with the cable. Also check your Xbox with other monitors or TVs. Finally check your current Xbox monitor with other HDMI devices.
Do you mean completely black\white frame? Or your image lose colors and becomes Black&White? First symptom is quite common, while losing colors is less likely to happen due to HDMI failure
It really depends, but mostly there are two reasons for flickers - HDMI cable or internal connection cable. Anyway HDMI is the easiest problem to check
Good question. It shouldn't get hot, unless a power adaptator in your PC transfers electricity to housing case which goes through the cable. Amount of electricity required to transfer video signal is really small and can't get your cable even warm
From our experience 30 meter HDMI cables don't work because of the signal losses. I wouldn't advise to go beyond 15 meters. If you need to transfer HDMI signal on a long distance - use HDMI extenders or HDBaseT technology.
Good Going... was having trouble with the pictures / pixel's acting up... replaced the HDMI cable.. Done problem gone.. Wow who knew. Thanks
Very straight forward and simple to comprehend. Excellent video my dude.

HDMI cable manufacturing is a precise process. Suspiciously affordable HDMI may be faulty out of the box or quickly go out of order
