This is the first drama I have seen a prince behave how a son should be around the mother in the case of Jun and his mom.... I Love their closeness and interaction. It's not the usual cdrama that a son can't even seem to hug or touch the mom just because she's queen or something, they always seem distant but it's different here cos Jun and his mother behave like real mom and son...am liking this drama gradually, just sad it didn't get to end well.
I luv this drama, full of challenge, criminal minds, harsh intentions, smart moves..love knows no bounds and sweet, brutal revenge! For a girl who witnessed how her family members was mercilessly killed for power!!

Lots of scheming psychopaths and languid sociopaths. The Father, Minister Li, gave consent to his equally evil first wife to kill his daughter, Wei Young. He seemed more concerned with his prestige and family honour more than that of his family member’s lives. And, the poor servants, were treated as mere properties to be disposed, abused or killed by their masters or mistresses.

I'm getting sick of Wei Young rejecting Tou Ba Jun over and over again! He will still help her and her family will keep on coming up with petty stuff to accuse her of! So no, you are not protecting him! As long as he doesn't go to Chang le your family will keep trying to get rid of you and he will always come to save your life whenever he can

I was thinking it was sad Weiyoung rejecting the prince but then understood why she did it. It is not only that she believes is part of the family of her enemies (that anyways she already said that it was not important anymore because she now knows better about him) it is because she knows that she would only be a trouble for him because her disguise is a lowly rank girl, so even his mother would be against and society would see it as a good relationship. So, she only can pester him away in order to protect both of them. And she cannot say she is a princess either: / because she would die since her family was framed as traitors
