Night and day difference for cleaning the burner tubes! Amazing that it was still working even covered in dust. Mike why isn’t there a vent damper? Or is the inducer blocking the flue enough to prevent stack losses?
I don’t understand how someone can really believe that. Oh it’s gas it needs no maintenance?
I just had the same exact experience with the shipping screw on a 2012 Burnham ES2. Seemed like the thing was fused with that cover. Tried a multi tool, a screw extraction kit, a dremel….eventually just drilled through it. Still the boiler, though never serviced, was not anywhere close to the levels of grossness in this video :)

It surprising that boiler wasn’t sooted up with as dirty as those Ventura areas were. Definitely gotta be running better after a good cleaning. Looks like they need to check and service there dryer vent.

That safety drain pipe could be easily bent into an offset clearing the pressure regulator by heating it with a mapp gas torch.

That boiler was so dirty, I'm surprised it worked at all. Looks and works like new again. Hopefully the pumps are not worn down by running dry.
