  • In this video I explain why I chose to buy this particular track saw from Screwfix in the UK:
    ERBAUER ERB690CSW 185MM ELECTRIC PLUNGE SAW 240V
After watching so many videos on CZcams and reading lots of review i wanted to get my self a budget track saw for those odd project where this can be very useful. especially because of my small workshop and me wanting to learn more cabinet making for my business.
I opted for this saw because of the price, availability and the reviews out there. Thanks to Peter Millard at 10minute workshop I had a good understanding of what i was going to get myself into and this make my purchase even easier.

I'm putting my own kitchen in and I have a few milwaukee m18 tools to do the job but I haven't got a track saw because of the price and the fact that I probably won't use it again after cutting the worktop. So would you recommend this track saw for a as and when use. Is it accurate.

Yep this is very good for jobs like this. The guide rails really help giving you accurate cuts. For the value it definitely worth it and if there are any issues. Screwfix are generally very good at exchanges or returns.

Nice and clear, cheers. Does it give you a nice, clean 90° cut? As good as other track saws or a table saw? And how is it with a 45° cut?

I will be doing some furniture projects using this and will be testing out the 45 degree angle. But the 90 is pretty sqaure for me.

What tracks are compatible with this as Screwfix don't sell the track on its own, Cheers

It’s been a year now , how’s it going with this saw I’m in a position to buy one myself

I had to return it back as it kept cutting out. This was after 6 months use. I am not sure if it was just the one I had. But I could not risk being out of a saw on my jobs

@TMCarpentry This is exactly the same as the Macallister track saw b&q sell. They come of the same production line and the Macllister is £130. I had a similar problem. It spun on no load but kept cutting out when on load. It's cheap but doesn't last long. I returned mine and purchased the Dewalt flex volt. It's not cheap but so far I've had no problems and I've used it multiple times on 100's of cuts.
