Drawing Daily Inspiration As A Stay At Home Mom | Finding time and the freedom to play and sketch

Dive into my sketchbook and logo design with me! I found inspiration from our weekly park visit, daily walks, and letting my mind wonder in some fun pattern design!
When you're busy, making sketching a priority can be a tall ask! I have felt that way since becoming a mom and since making the commitment to get further into creative craft and try to make a business out of it somehow it has become a part of a long list of things I need to get to, adding a heavy sense of pressure.
Many of us creatives can struggle with putting ourselves into a box, and one of my favorite lines in this video is that too frequently I can break out of one box just to walk into another. As I acknowledge that habit in this video I also share how I was able to see it as it was happening and stop it in its tracks.
A creative habit is something I believe we all need and benefit from! Making time for that hobby, however possible, is going to help give us a light and sound mind during these busy and chaotic times.

👏👏👏👏Great video and words of wisdom. Loved the flamingo, and it's exactly what I tell me too. Drawing from life is great but if your not moved by what's around, open a national geographic or go online and find some kind of reference. Looking forward to seeing the website, also really loved the first nuked coffee design (maybe should make you own coffee brand to such a great name) and God bless you i'll drink it cold rather than nuking it lol.

This was so helpful because I was actually debating between the two logos! I love the first one but after getting some feedback I adjusted to the second and it just wasn't quite "it" for me. Perhaps I'll have to play with the first concept a bit more and then she'll be golden!

No matter what the masses say sometimes in art you need to just go with what you feel. No one can guide you, your art guides you. And i think you know why.

Ohhhh yes! Thank you for that, that was refreshing! I mean each person has the right to take their coffee the way they like! Nuked, iced, lukewarm! There's not judgement here! I also have mine with cream and honey so 🤷‍♀️
