Growing up in 70s is nice to here someone his age groups know how to sing the blue and keeping it alive
I've seen Joe in concert more times than I could count on my fingers and toes 3 times over. I've heard glowing praise and burning criticism of his playing and singing over the years, and a clear pattern has emerged: The lovers have heard it all, and the haters barely anything and they focus on but a single aspect of this widely varied musician. Haters are gonna hate - that's what they do. Bluesmen are gonna play the Blues, and that's what Joe does, with all the heart and soul any man can possibly muster. What more could anyone ask for?

+David Amorde Part of the problem is many people today only know shredding, they don't know feeling. Joe plays with feeling. Joes varied guitar styles set him at the top of the heap. Finger picking, slide guitar and everything else, Joe is great.

I saw Joe last week in Cardiff with more less the same line up, the band sounded fantastic awesome, Joe voice sounded better than ever, as for the playing what is there to say which has not already been said fantastic, awesome . if you get the chance to see Joe and this band don,t miss it , because its a fantastic night

Grit and gravel, man, you know what I am saying. This ain't about likes or thumbs up, nah- it's all about the depth of feeling overcome or suffering, how we rile our own demons from the deep. The trend is to write good stuff here, or be taken for a hater, and you know, I was with you and Tom was there, our junkyard dog band, we let nobody to hear, who didn't chip in with the playing. Tom went on to write of Black Wings, and your great song from A Time In Space, seems so far from where we started. Flawless! Like all of his tracks. He's probably the only guy - at least I know of, in recent times - that doesn't bother with studio recordings and releases. This isnt just a song, this is a production!! And a helluva good one.

Joe plays with more feeling in 5 notes than all the shredders can muster in an evening. He reminds me of David Gilmore in that they both play whats in their heart and that is getting to be more rare in music every day.
Tim Brown musicians today still play it from the heart. The music isn't going anywhere it's alive and well it's just that the commercial structures that used to support it have vanished
