- We met Blues-ikon Joe Bonamassa and joined him for one day in Red Rocks as part of his Three-Kings-Tour. Now we are proud to present you our video-documentary alongside the guitar-special-issue available here: ppvmedien.de/Joe-Bonamassa-Gu...

I wasn't a Bonamassa fan at first. This is like the fourth interview I've watched with him. Man he's so down-to-earth, and so knowledgeable. Then when he talked about a world without B.B. King it almost brought me to tears. Now I love the guy.
The greatest guitar nerd of all time. And I'm seeing him at in the Grand Concert Hall at the Sydney Opera House in 8 days! Can't wait! Joe is a legend.
Suddenly dawned on me. Joe Bonamassa is a little bit like Jay Leno. They are not only players and drivers, they're collectors. And the nice part is they use and share their collection.
nailed it.
Red Rocks acoustics are unbelievable trust me been there done that🎶👍👍🇺🇸
I love listening to joe talk about gear he really knows his stuff
I grew up in the 60's and 70's and life got busy in the 80's, 90's and beyond, and I pretty much took a break from music, just lost interest. That changed when I discovered youtube a few years back, and Joe not long after. I really like this self described geek. One hell of a player, yes, but a really passionate and humble guy. Jam on, Joe.
Joe is my absolute favorite blues-rock performer, his voice also gives a particular uniqueness to the songs, - personally I just LOVE Joe's voice....... - Joe's old friend B.B. King nailed it when he said of the then 12-year old; Joe is - ’One of a Kind!’ . . . . . . . . . .
It's been a while since I've seen true passion. Glad he's coming back to the Royal Albert. Thanks!
Love This Guy...Saw him at least 6 times in concert he's so good...Look to be a very nice person...
I am humbled and deeply moved....what clean water.
JOE❤You are the best man ever ❤I Love You❤ Thank you for this great video and all what you have done❤ You are the best gift from your father and mother and God💝
So great for tour of his guitars so cool
Loved it. 💙🎸
Joe will always be True Blue. 💙💙💙🎸🎵🎸🎵🎸🎵
An "At Red Rocks " festival with Joe, Tedeschi Trucks, and Marcus King would be on my bucket List! If Chris Stapleton and his lovely Wife showed-up THAT WOULD BE AWESOME!!💯💥👋😏🙏😎
Man, i would love to own a couple of those GUITARS!!!! WHAT A COLLECTION!!!! AMAZING!!!!
Just an awesome guitar player I love how he mixes up the pent .scales and intermixes them .I definitely use his styles of playing and creating incredible sounds
Love listening to Joe Bonamassa pick that guitar.
You ARE MY SOUL MATE!!! HE IS SO SMART ... I LOVE THIS MAN❤
Hes got it all so talented!❤
The guitars were interesting. But your soul for the music and the way you talk about your friend
BB King is graceful. Ps. Saw you in NOLA at the Sagger Theater, was a awesome show.2015 Thanks 😎
Someone can go out on that stage with an acoustic guitar and you can hear them all the way at the top of the venue without a PA the natural acoustics of that place is absolutely phenomenal!! And yes I grew up in Denver and I actually played there in 1977 using a Shure vocal master PA which is kind of funny how he said that
He's probably talking more about the low-end. Just got to see that place this summer. It was mind-blown how beautiful it was.
Thanks very much for this.
It pleases me to hear about the families coming out to hear the blues... (2020 now) Maybe music will rediscover its value through Joe and he will be the one who inspires the next Elvis, Clapton or the next Led Zeppelin, Floyd, Rolling Stones. Thanks Joe.
I'm in love!
Am not sure if their is anyone that loves music more then Joe. Thanks man and love your the bassist. He spells pocket with all caps.
Great place for a show! I saw the Grateful Dead there September 6th, 7th, & 8th 1983 & September 5th, 6th, & 7th 1985.
Nice to see you using amps that you showed us at Nerdville.
The Guitar Geeks, Guitar Geek!
Nice Collection Joey!
Set for a Rockin 2016!
RockinRon
Great Video. Thank You.
This was his best amp setup.
This is awsome
I miss concerts at Red Rocks so much! Ahhhhhhhh
Nothing compares to seeing JB live!
Red Rocks an amazing place for concerts!
There is no concert experience that matches a concert at Red Rocks. Amazing venue!
@@tweitner There a somme who r better.
oh man fantastic vid : penso che Red Rocks sia la più bella location naturale per un concerto, e le chitarre una collezione da paura tank for best share
Awesome collection,, we have over 50 vintage guitars,, 34 gibson acoustic the oldest, nothing better than picking up an old guitar, and making it decent to play, bringing it to life,, we don't usually pick up anything from the mid 80's up,, we have a later year Les Paul black beauty and a 74 mustang,, i taught my son (Jesse) a few chords and licks,, needless to say he is a guitar wizard,,, he already is writing, singing and knows so many scales and chords,, its unreal,, i took him to see you in concert in Amarillo, Tx a couple of years ago and he is a BIG fan of yours,,, hopefully one day we will find an old Stratocaster or Les Paul,, it just takes time,,, America has turned sooo much talent to trash,, rapping and screaming,, there is so much actual great music of the past,, our younger generation needs to learn and hold on to,, they need to pick up an instrument and learn,,
There's a HUGE amount of great music out there today. You just won't hear it on the radio and have put a teeny tiny bit of effort into finding it.
Good rap takes a shitload of talent.
He is brilliant
"Sometimed during a gig, i like to adjust my action." ah cool....wait WHAT?
I wanna hang out with JoBo and talk about gear! 😭
I have an early 73 embossed cover LP Custom BB FW that's beat to hell. Best friggen guitar I have ever owned of > 200 axes. This Custom always sucks root when you pick it up. Then, about 10 minutes later, it starts to bloom as it warms up. 5 minutes after that, ya can't put it down. If you have the chops to give it, it returns them 10 fold. No other way to say it.... it's just magic.
HOLY SHIT...how awesome are his guitars? I let out a slight wimper when he pulled out that 58 V
Three Kings and 2 Aces.
He's the Best
He sure has alot of knowlege of guitars. Fun!
🙌🏻❤️🔥
What a legend, I couldn’t imagine having that many twins at home, the guy must be exhausted
I didn't know he had any kids let alone twins
Ahh just got it, Fender twin reverbs
💙🎸
❤
Go to see the 12 year old Dustin Tomsen playing and sing Joe Bonamassa's song Blue and Evil. Included guitar solo. He reminds me a lot of the young Bonamassa..........
Hello joe
Who has to think about how many hard tail strats you have 😂 that’s so awsome
Cotton bowl is in Dallas Joe
He really likes to talk about gear.
The V at 11:03 - I am pretty damn sure that the colour scheme for the vemuram pedals is nicked off that model. If you go back the Stevie/Albert video it's even clearer ... same tangy vibe
honest dialogue thanks
The Bursts are on the Bus 😏
“My friend Steven…” as in Steven Seagal😂😂
i agree on the in ears..
I love, love Joe but we all know the Cotton Bowl is in my hometown of Dallas, Texas.
I heard that too.I'm from Houston and was like,no.........
Funny when you mention the amp thing im that way with guitars ill go without everything to get the good stuff cant help it lol 13:22
With all due respect, the Cottonbowl is in Dallas not Houston.
I see a Lucille back there. Shame he didnt show it
translate please!
Does anyone know what kind of straps joe uses?
+Johannes Hartung Ernie Ball Joe Bonamassa signature straps
Guitar straps
Can’t wait for the day he strips it all down: one strat, one tele, one Les Paul and a couple of Fender amps.
My friend, thats the day we lose Joe 😂
11-52 strings?
Yes
How do in-ears wreck your hearing?
It's really no different than using headphones or earbuds, they all wreck your hearing over time. In the case of Joe, he also plays extremely loud.
Yeah he mentioned that he had to turn them up a lot in order to represent the dynamics of the band etc
I generally find this to be untrue. You spend the real money and get a pair that is custom molded to your ears, and they will (most likely) be usable at lower volumes.
They don't. Joe just hasn't played in a rock band. If he had, he'd understand that they PROTECT your hearing. Pretty obvious when you've used them and heard the ringing in your ears after every show suddenly go away.
Adjust your action mid set/song? Wow
I think it was just a joke, referencing that he sometimes accidentally hits it. Just my guess. Hes the kinda person that makes super super dry jokes lol
I have seen him doing that during a concert, myself! You can see him adjusting his action during some songs on his greek theatre show. Joe is just crazy... :-)
Who is Albert, one of the three kings?
10:30 NOT Koreans, Korinas
NEVER HEARD OF THIS GUY BEFORE UNTIL TODAY....MUST BE NICE TO HAVE A MUSIC STORE HANDED DOWN TO YOU, THAN YOU MAKE YOUR OWN GUITAR COLLECTION IN A HOUSE, DO THE MATH MONEY MAKES MONEY !!!
Are you stupid? Bonamassa came from NOTHING. His parents were lower middle class. He made every dollar he has himself. What are you even talking about??
oh shut up you effing jealous hater. he worked for everything he has asshole.
Can't help but think the way he called Ryan Adams a 'kid' was with a negative connotation. Funny for several reasons as I think Ryan is older than Joe, Ryan actually writes his own music that is a joy to listen to, and he is arguably a better (definitely more original) guitar player.
+Bobby Weir please be quiet trying to watch a legend
Ha ha

Not even close. You apparently don't play guitar
Why does somebody have to be a loser so someone can be a winner. Stop judging everybody with your GOD complex. If you don't like Joe, go listen to someone else.
Not wild about the sound of the V s , sorry Joe but they hurt my ears.....
You wreck your hearing by USING in ears??? Apparently, Joe has never played in an actual rock band.
You know rich people can be cheap! :))) Making millions of $ every year but crying when paying 4000$ for a vintage guitar that sounds like B.B.'s...
Rich people only stay rich if they're cheap.
jealous eh?
Joe Bonamassa is a great guitarist but a bit sick in the head when it comes to guitars and guitar equipment. Does he really have to have so many guitars, amplifiers and pedals to produce this simple blues rock tone?
yes he does...nothing wrong with that.
Does Bill Gates need to own the largest private owned farmlands in the us?
