Playing capture the flag on El Alamein back in the day was an absolute joy. Capture the flag game mode in BF1942 was without a doubt the most intense gaming I have ever had in any game in my life.

POV: you have less than 70 ping
In my experience, ping only really matters in FPS games when it's above 100ms. Additionally, the recent reg patch made it so it's now feasible to play in servers with >100ms ping.
@@thecalmingclam Using ladders, moving on a moving structure or even worse, climbing ladders on a moving structure with high ping is something I wouldn't wish on anyone... Battlefield 1942 is very delicate when it comes to ping... (just remember that blessed ladder on large ships or the small staircase on the map Aberdeen...)
