Match fishing is so much a mental thing. I easily spit the dummy out when things aren't going right - then things generally get worse - tangles/hooking trees and Bankside vegetation - or the back of my coat 🤬. I need to keep calm and have confidence in what I'm doing - it's really the only way to play it. When I was a young matchman I remember reading an article on how to approach a match - and the thing that stood out most was PMA - Positive Mental Attitude. I've only just re-discovered match fishing after fotty years of virtually no fishing at all - so PMA is going to be my go to thinking. Quite apt really - it's just a different way of spelling MAP 🤪. That venue is just plane quackers! 🛩️🦆🤣. May the force be with you two for the next round.
Well done may. Just got back from lanzarote sorry for the late comment. At the end of the day it is what it is. Trying to work out your swim can be so frustrating. You know you're doing the right thing but they won't bite. My thinking is patients is a vertue. But you did well in the end sweet.....

We all have our tantrums and I definitely think it's how you handle it ,you did exactly what you could ,got your head back in to gear ,cleared your head and stuck to it and got your second from lake .Great stuff,good luck in your last match and get some chill pills just in case!!

Try this groundbait mix... Dynamite f1 dark and bait tech special g green or dynamite betaine green with dry 2mm f1 sweets in after you have mixed the groundbait
Absolutely do think that! I am a firm believer that it's better to have tighter pegging then fish bounce from peg to peg instead of just sitting in the space
