I assumed the song was referring to a previous relationship, one that was from years and years ago. As if she was younger than she should have been. If this is from a relationship that just happened, then that’s understandable.

It's a beautiful song, but I'm a little turned off when artists in general start entering their "Hey I'm famous now" phase and start making songs based on that experience (she's obviously not the first to do this, and not the last). But I disagree it's her saddest song; the crown still goes to "Letter to My 13 Year Old Self."

I thought the f word was out of place , I'm not a prude , I drop f bombs , I won't deny though , it changed the way I thought of her , the song was amazing , I feel kinda sad about it , I guess her song proved to be true , she's not the "f*king goddess" I thought she was , its weird now , if that makes any sense

it emphasizes the hurt she went through, as it’s one of the only times she has swore in her songs. to me it’s perfect because the emotion it conveys is so powerful
