    Recently found your channel I have some suggestions for you if you wouldn't mind. Like showing the bleeder hoses from your tank as you operate the pump, the push and pull of the air that goes into your tank, things like that. They could help people understand what is actually happening inside your trailer.

      I will be happy to show how the bleeder valve works and showing air pressure pushing and pulling from tank. Thanks for subscribing to my channel. I love showing people how things work and help them realize they can come out to the oilfield and make good money and be a little ahead of the game with knowledge. Ken

    Just got an offer and probably be headed up there mid November. Any recommendations on gear to get not to freeze my Southern boy butt off?

      Sorry, just saw your comment. Yes, what I do is dress in layers. I buy most of my gear from EBay used. Only your outside clothes have to be FR. So what I typically do is wear a tshirt, sweatshirt and then FR shirt. I wear insulated bibs almost exclusively during winter. I either wear what we called in the Army “Polly pros” or when it’s 15 degrees and below I wear sweatpants under bibs. Make sure to get a decent pair of insulated boots. My gear lasts about a year and you can get great deals on EBay. Hope that helps and congrats on new job! Let me know where you will be working. Ken

      @@northdakotadriver5714 i got some smartwool base laters to use where I'd use polypros or long johns, got some wool socks.
      Also got some redwing 2272s but I'm thinking for insulated boots I'll get some Ariats. Couple of models I've seen I was thinking something like the Catalyst VX 8" MetGuard Waterproof MetGuard Composite Toe Work Boot

    Hi, What is water/sand tanker work?

    • @northdakotadriver5714
      @northdakotadriver5714  Před rokem

      Hi Dave. Water is production water. It’s salt water that comes up with the oil. It’s separated at the well into a big tank. We pull it and bring it to a disposal which pushes it back down about 2 1/2 miles where it came from. The sand you are asking about is being hauled to frac jobs. Let me know if you have more questions. Ken

      @@northdakotadriver5714 Thanks Ken, the recruiter said the job is a "sand / water" tanker job. So its one or other not both in same tanker load.
