How Steph Curry & Trayce Jackson-Davis Led The Comeback Against The Celtics

- What a classic game. With an Eastern conference powerhouse in the Celtics coming to town, it was rookie Trace Jackson Davis who shined last night and led the Warriors with a team high +25. While fighting foul trouble, Steph Curry exploded in the 4th quarter and overtime, so I wanted to break down their brilliant one-two punch, so let’s get to it.

An assist from the point god to the goat shooter, damn🔥🔥🔥
Who used to be his daddy tbh
@@warriorsbreakdown damn right
I watched that last dagger by Curry again and again, its amazing how quick he released the ball and still hit that 3💯🔥🔥
Quick release and high arc was insane
It was a rainbow like shot. Felt like forever to land.
Not only do they win , they do it in style ❤❤
This is the kind of play am waiting for gsw to ďisplay. Breathtaking but with the heart to win it. Heart of a Champion. Congratulations GSW, you did not fail us. Keep up until you snatch No. 1 in western regular season, finally be the 2024 NBA Western Champs.
Number 1 will be tough lmfao. Let's just aim for top 4 by season end
Amazing breakdown for a spectacular game
Thank you!
I'd like to see some of Chris Paul's assists. He had 12!
and i believe ZERO turnovers
For sure, I generally focus on what I believe to be the biggest theme/factor. Obviously last night had lots of contributors (including JK/CP3), but had to highlight these plays first
Including the game winner. Right in the shooting pocket from cross court.
With his game IQ, I believe we will get to see another one of those numbers
As an IU fan, I'm not surprised by this output by TJD. The kid is fundamentally sound with a high basketball IQ. He positions great and his timing for swats is impeccable. I wish Kerr would stop leaving him on the bench. The W's don't have a rim protector outside of TJD. When he gets opportunities like this, he shows the poise of a tenured role player. His impact is more than just the stat sheet.
Kerr said he’s gonna be playing from now on so he should be seeing more minutes now
Kerr never plays youngins it’s sooo bad. Play the fuckin four year college player already
Moody’s reaction after Steph’s dagger. Jeez
Bigman with a wide vision and bb iq . What a gem to have TJD and Podz ☝️☝️ Warrrriooorrrs !!!
College experienced rookies sometimes >>>> unproven/high potential lottery picks
Didn't think he'd be effective shot blocking due to his height, but it's the fast twitch jump. He's so light on his feet and always ready to pounce.
Obviously guys like AD, Jokic and Embiid will give him trouble, but they are tough for everyone.
Facts. That's why Looney should still start and him/Dray can match up decently well against a premier big. But everyone else...play TJD more
“This may be the highlight of the game”
I guess the ball was still in the air when he said that. Some say it’s still up there to this day.
Wait what you mean lol
@@warriorsbreakdown Just joking is all, I loved the block on brown, but a lot of ppl would think the steph rainbow at the end would be the highlight of the game
@@mojojojotokyo Hahhaah fair I thought that's what you meant, that's why I said "may". To be fair, we've seen Steph do that plenty of times, and also it was a catch and shoot open three. Obviously it was a highlight and closed the game out, but when was the last time we saw a weak side rotation -> full rejection on an ALL STAR who is known for dunking on people!!?? Much less a ROOKIE who barely has played any games??? I don't know man...I haven't seen that on the Warriors like ever before...hence why I said "may" lol
this rookie did way more than draymond well done 👍🏽
Lol Dray has done very well for us this season..outside of choking/punching people
After this all Kerr will give all the young guys 5 minutes of game time. Honestly believe Kerr is one of the problems. Trade Wiggins and Green as well. At least Draymond. He's slow, a detriment, and a bad look seeing a grey ass beard at 34. Overrated.
Tjd also avg like 22 ppg 10 rebs 6 ast 4 blks he was a beast
6:50 "and Al Horford is probably sick and tired of this shit" 😂😂
I mean imagine seeing the same coverage and suffering the same result. Wasn’t 2022 enough? Lol
Just came for this comment 😅😂
Amazing breakdown for. great game.
(Love how half the video was just bullying Horford 😂)
LETS GO WARRIORS
When the coverage is predictable everytime…you might as well abuse it
really hope to see TJD getting more minutes and improving his game
Kerr said he’s gonna be in the rotation so he should finally see more minutes now
Agreed he needs at least 15 on a consistent basis
Golden Steph Warriors
Amazing game, amazing breakdown. Lets goooo
Thank you! Great win
excellent breakdown, thanks man.
Appreciate it!
Tryce is playing like a veteran do not trade him there is a lot of upside still untapped.
He’s an NBA ready player for sure
Steph, the GOAT of his generation
As an Indiana fan I am so proud of Trace🥹
Indiana ball culture is crazy
@@warriorsbreakdown basketball in indiana is different, thats our boy we will always follow him!
underated channel happy to be here EARLY
Yeee appreciate it!
So much has been made about the warriors organization and it's never about Steph. It's always about the roster, coaching, culture. Even in 2022 I had casuals telling me Curry had a great supporting cast! Nah bro they absolutely did not. Curry* didn't miss a shot and won with Wiggins as his second-best player.. and it was all time impressive from Curry. But most people and analysts said that was a great Warriors team. That's ridiculous.
The main reason that 2017 and 2018 Warriors managed to be so far ahead of the pack.. was Curry, not Durant. We saw Curry's ceiling raising during those years. KD is way less efficient outside of GSW, can't deny that.
Fair take, 2022 was by far the "worst" team to win a ship of the Dubs rings, and an all time performance by Curry. Don't think it was a "great" Dubs team, but to be fair they didn't have the toughest Western conference playoffs matchups either. The Celtics finals was super impressive tho obviously took a legacy Game 4, otherwise the C's woulda pulled it off most likely
Infinite IQ on the court with Curry and Paul.
Lmfao l!!😂🤣 I know without a doubt Al Harford was sick and tired of the switching.💯 #Comedy
Watched this game, when Curry hit that dagger it didn't even feel like a clutch shot.. it just felt like wtf. It just felt alien
Facts, when no one expected it to go in and you're just like...wtf did I just watch
I can see Jackson-Davis to be starting center next game.
For some reason Looney has been struggling this year. May need a change of scenery in the lineup
@@warriorsbreakdown I would disagree there. Kevon is doing the same thing he’s done the last 5 years. Getting Wiggins out of the starting lineup was the change they needed to the starting lineup.
@@svk_5104 I would also disagree with you, Looney is averaging less points, lower efficiency, and most importantly fewer rebounds. He's not "ass" by any means, but clearly isn't as good as last year
@@warriorsbreakdown his drop off from last year is very marginal. He went from what 7 pts to 5 and low 60s to mid 50s from the field and last year was his career best year. Go back to the championship season in 2021-2022(and previous years)and his numbers are basically the same. He’s doing what he’s always done in his career. I would definitely agree and in my opinion he’s not a starting center either BUT he’s not the problem with the starting lineup and he’s only playing about 20min a night anyway, which is what he would probably be getting off the bench.
Wiggins and even Klay were the big problems with the offense. Looney’s extra 2 points a game from last year isn’t what is making or breaking this team. It seems Klay has figured it out but Wiggins playing like a shell of himself is what was killing the starting lineup.
@@svk_5104 I agree Wiggins/Klay are by far the main reasons, but let's not act like Looney hasn't also dropped off. After putting up 20/20 numbers in the playoffs against an All-Star in Sabonis, he hasn't recorded a double digit rebound game in forever. I'm not saying he's one to blame, but it's becoming noticeable for sure
They all played well!! David played amazing. Steph and klay were amazing too. CP3 had 12 assists. If like to see cp3 be more aggressive and shoot more midrange. They need to play Davis more!!
Solid team win, but got lucky there too with some bad Boston misses
TJD is fitting GS like a glove while being a rookie
He was always ready as a 4 year college player
Tjd is top 5 in like 3 indiana categories hes 3rd in all time scoring #1 shot blocker and he can throw the rock he is my fav hoosier all time im only 21 so hes really my first player i got to fully watch and succeed
Facts he was NBA ready
Great vid!
Thanks!
heck yeah
Yeeee
TJD has been started proving his tweet "Y'all will regret it.. I promise" after the 2023 draft night. Go TJD, keep soaring high.
Facts
You should put thought bubbles above Horford’s head, “I’m tired of this sh*t”…
Lol mans' seen the same coverage since 2022 but no adjustment
Im a san fran native and a big curry fan but the celtics didn't even have that big center (porzingis) who they added this off-season. That guy makes them almost unbeatable!
Sure well you can say that for every other game. Draymond didn't play either and Steph had 5 fouls in 3rd quarter. Boston was up 17 too, I'm not sure how much more of an advantage you need
@@warriorsbreakdown the warriors record is better without green than with him this year. He slows down and disrupts the offensive flow. With Sarich and Trace Jackson they don't even need him.
Horford is a great 3 point shooter for a big
Yea true, but that game they played off of him like a non-shooter. If Horford shoots threes that leads to Celtics winning...I think Warriors will live with that
good game splash brother. Dremond who? haha lol
Lollll keep at therapy plz in the meantime
this was such a formal and analytical breakdown until "old ass al horford" 🤣
Hahhahah
I think Green gone,a lot of angst will be gone…players can relax and play
Could be true, I guess we'll see how long the winning streak goes..
Do for every game pls
I do man! Like and subscribe, I do it for every win 🫡🫡
They got somebody tall and knows how to screen like reckless green!
Or Wiseman lol
Primarily I would still give a healthy Looney the start of Trayce. But once he's got more experience in the NBA that start spot is his.
Definitely gotta play him come play offs and in line ups with Dario but also him and Steph PnR and hand off.
Agreed. Still start Looney but TJD is pulling his weight. He "might" be the "big man" that they finally need lol
No he didn't just say old ass Al Horford LoL im over here rolling hella hard dam bra 😂😂😂
Man's 37 only a couple years older than Steph but had to be blunt hahahha
2:27 If you ever watched 80's basketball, these super high screens seem like aliens are playing now. Pretty crazy how the whole court is used vs back then.
Can blame Steph Curry lol
13pts in 3 quarters but finished with 33pts
But OT as well haha
What is the full form of. 'Him'
Curry had so many uncalled And 1s
Fair I'd rather him not get the personal fouls tho
Steph's layup attempt looked more like a pass off the backboard for a TJD put-back. Steph's layup attempt didn't even come close to the rim. Take another look.
Ehhh I doubt it, you're saying Steph tried to alleyoop off the glass after a spin move and nearly double teamed? Yea probs not haha
TJD was about to put-back after Steph missed his layup but JK obstructed the follow up and ended up on CP3 recovery..almost a perfect play..
@@warriorsbreakdown well, if you take another look at the replay, the layup shot did not have any angle towards the rim, the shot seemed to be higher off the backboard almost straight-on to the trailing TJD. Wish someone in the next presser could ask Steph is that was his intention. Yeah could be I just love Steph that much too.
@@jacksonj3082 Lol I guess..I just think it is a long shot that Steph was intending on throwing a lob off backboard in the clutch to a rookie haha
My ideal trade package: Warriors get Lauri: Utah get Loon, Moody, Corey Joseph, and 2-3 first round picks… starting lineup: Steph Klay, Kuminga, Draymond, Lauri: second lineup: CP3, Brandon, Wiggins, Saric, TJD: GP2 alternate as needed….championship squad hands down!!!🔥🔥🔥
Lol...idk about that haha
@@warriorsbreakdown u can’t say that that squad isn’t lethal….
@@orlandomoore6795 Obviously it is but why the hell would Utah trade their All-star for way smaller pieces
@@warriorsbreakdown for draft picks use ur damn brain. Then u swap the other guys for picks as well.
no green. gsw in win mode.🤞
exactlly, looney must get less Minutes than he plays... Dray, Jackson, Kuminga, Steph and Klay
Looney is just less productive this year, also an offensive liability (outside of rebounding)
@@warriorsbreakdown the most important thing you need to Win is team morale; the Warriors have been down because Kerr been selecting the starting line-up emotionally. Even Poz and Moody have been playingn better than Klay, Kuminga has been our Rookie Underdog forever, both him and Moody deserve to start right now…
A better Draymon if he bulks up a bit.
The Memphis Grizzlies will waive forward Kenneth Lofton, Jr.
Warriors need to get him.
Ehhh not sure about that dude. To be fair I dont know much
Is TJD 6,9
Lol yes according to Google
Looney & Draymond for Wendell & J Isaacs
Curry Klay Wiggins Kuminga Wendell
CP Brandin Moses Dario TJD
GP Isaacs
Magic become more defensive
Lol trading away one of the "big 3" for a net negative in chemistry...ehhh I'm good
I can't follow your page because you called them San Francisco. That's not their name.
What are you talking about? I said “James wiseman didn’t do anything the couple years he was in San Francisco”. Chase Center is literally in SF man (I also literally grew up in the Bay Area)
@@warriorsbreakdownhmm, okay, okay I see what you meant not. You were referring to the city the team plays in and not the team name. Okay, my error. a sensitive topic for us. I'll subscribe now.
Done!
@@charlesinoakland1206 Lolll yea of course man. I can't tell you how many times I been to Oracle arena lolll, I know this team belongs in Oakland
That's not a bad double.. no one gets fired for following Steph 😂
Which play you talking about? Because if it is a double off of Klay Thompson, I'd say someone definitely will get fired for that lol
@@warriorsbreakdown this is just a joke btw, and quoting Eric's "no one gets fired from following Steph"
Steph's gravity is unreal and pulling doubles to free up an open warrior
@@rutherfordmylerang5278haha yea I got the reference, I guess I would agree for everybody besides Klay 😂
bench looney start trayce
Might be finally that time
Horford is not a non shooter
Totally fair statistically wise. I should've given some context. If you watched the 2022 Finals, GSW was willing to live with Horford open/kick out threes. Even tho Al is a slightly above average shooter, his volume is low, so gameplan wise Steve Kerr is completely fine with leaving him open and helping off. If they Horford shoot, that is a win compared to Brown/Tatum getting to rim, or wide open shot for White, etc. Couple times last year they forced Horford to make decisions out of the zone too. So my bad but I should've given some context for the "non shooter"
@@warriorsbreakdown I see you just meant they will live with horford beating them. Cool
@@dimelo58 Yea that was my b, I should've said they would live with it. Multiple times Horford is on the perimeter and whoever's guarding him has the priority of helping and rotating on Tatum/Brown's drive to the rim. "non shooter" wasn't the best description lol
suspend green for good
Tought take lol
Hahahahaha😂😂😂
