With Arena at the moment this is a hot topic again. I use Makarov with AL Baltimore/Sims. But there are more DD Commander options (Rumble, Von Essen, Spledento), with various upsides ánd downsides. Also in other builds, I am experimenting with Roux on the Kléber (great rudder, and extra and reloadboost but NO Twist n Track/Intuitive).
have you experimented double rudder + splendento with blue + fraser, full speed build with some extra gun range for skills? if not, would you consider doing that build for khaba? why or why not?
nice build Xarkun, but still, best meme build for Khaba is with lvl 16 Kedrov xD plus WtR thx to your speed is easy to proc inspiration of course sims and takeo takagi
11:30 Khaba can heal up 3150 HP per heal(thoeritical, not actually possible unless it's fires,floodings or ramming...), so total health pool is 22500+3150*3=31950 11:33 yes of course, I was trusting you since the beginning, Khaba>cruisers
I think I went over it at the end of the video when I looked at the commander build in detail but I can’t remember what exactly the skill does aside from reduce damage to cruisers
I've been running von Essen on the Khaba lately. It works and has some advantages, but...isn't quite what I want, I don't think. Definitely going to try Makarov, though that'll mean he'll be evicted from the Russian 180mm gun cruisers. Perhaps von Essen might fit in there for another potential oddball build with some hidden synergies.
I run von Essen on Kirov and Molotov with Yamamoto and lutjens as inspirations. Works for me. I do that because makarov is my Vlady, Lenin and Izmail captain.
I use makarov on my Russian BB’s Vlady, Lenin and Izmail. It’s kind of hilarious having a BB with an under 9 second rudder on the first 2 and an under 8 second rudder on Izzy.
I have and to be honest I'm not a fan. I really like his base trait as an inspiration for the English/German DDs. But oddly enough I don't want Ingenius like Xarkun took in this video. So I take Von Essen. You get the improved AP angles (incredibly minor buff but at least its not a dud skill), +2% fire chance from Burn it Down, -6%, the 4% movement speed from Velocious, and the rudder shift buff from Steer Clear plus an option for Unstoppable or Fully Packed. I'm running the concealment mod instead of the rudder shift so my detect is like 5.7km or 5.6km. But my rudder shift is 8.6s. I'm not married to the idea of the concealment mod but so far I haven't seen a critical need for the rudder shift since I can often times just simply get to my detect fast enough I don't even need to dodge.

Makarov's my guy for Khaba as well. Got Bey and Blue for inspiration. If I'm not using intuitive she'll run 48kts without speed boost. Good video!

The other wowsl cc hipper put this build together a few months back. He uses it on the khaba and Tashkent with great success

When I know a ship use Ingenious skill. I spam target selection at them to troll them.

Xarkun do you think using sponge in slot 3 instead of Velosious would be viable for the Khabba, I notice her guns are very susceptible to damage.

"Bizarre Build"? This was my first and only build.
It’s just kind of off the wall because it’s a cruiser commander and I feel like most of the player base wouldn’t really think of it
