    Using the Camp Chef Artisan Pizza Oven | New York Style Caputo 00 Pizza Dough
    In this video, I use our Camp Chef Artisan Pizza Oven to create a pizza using Caputo Tipo 00 flour. You'll also see the door that I created for the pizza oven using a piece of metal flashing from a roof. And this time I didn't forget to include the much requested "money shot" !

      Tastes as good as it looked. Pizza wheel arriving Friday, just got to get a good grater. I'm doing my best to buy Made in America, or at the very least, NOT made in China. Makes it a challenge unfortunately.

    We'll have to try that dough recipe. We have the same pizza peel and love our camp chef pizza oven. Great video on the process.

      Well worth checking out. There are a ton of recipes out there, but his " calculator" let's you really dial it in. He makes resume videos too. He's from Holland.

    I have been patiently waiting for you PIZZA update good Sir! You are one of my top channels... why? Because I will be following your foot steps as I am on track to retire by no later than 6/21. Being 58 yrs old you give inspiration that it's never too late to make a change! P.S. No heat shield for the knobs? Ouch!

      Thanks for watching and your kind words. Knowing that the knobs get hot is enough. A good, homemade potholder courtesy of a family friend on Germany is enough to shield me from pain😉. The door is a game changer, and if Camp Chef were smart, they would offer a door as an accessory. Had one been available, I might have considered buying one instead of my homemade solution. But mine was free and does the job nicely. Cut my preheat time in half..... easily! 6/21 will be here before you know it! Start preparing now and you'll be in good shape! Exciting for sure. I'm happier than ever, even when digging trenches for sewer lines in 100 degree heat, which is what my current project involves. Video to follow for sure.

      I turned 58 in August, laid off due to Covid, and after 22 years with one company, decided life is too short to spend 12-14 hours a day in an office, making another company lots of money.

      Soon! Between trenching for our sewer lines in between helping Handeeman get the roof on his building. No "rest" for the weary, just the pizza dough 🤣

    Thanks for putting together the video. I'm thinking of getting the pizza oven but am surprised it takes about 10 minutes a pizza. Have you tried letting it heat up to about 600 degrees or is 450 the max it will heat up on the stone ?

      I've had pizzas bake at 600° in about 7 or 8 minutes. getting it up to that temperature requires that you have no wind and fabricating a door will make it a lot easier to achieve such temperatures.

      Not that I am aware of, but a smaller- midsized generic cover would certainly do the trick. I know because that's what I have been using.

    In regards to making cheese, check out "Blue Cactus Dairy Goats"
    Crystal makes cheese and may have a video for mozzarella.
    They are also in AZ (west of Tuscon). Her husband Derick did a video of a hiking trip to Cochise Stronghold, with their kids recently.
    Really neat family. They are really close to being completely food self reliant.
