- Hello and thank you for checking out my video here on Shane White. For this project I take a cheap, fake wood Wal-Mart dresser and wrap it in pallet wood. This was a pretty simple woodworking project that doesn't require many tools. Shootz, I was able to do this project with just battery powered tools and a generator as my power source to run the band saw and sander. This type of easy DIY woodworking project can be done on any furniture you have with just a little bit of creativity.
I changed my mind mid way through this project on how I wanted to finish it so stay tuned for a future video showing how I finish this thing up!!

Glad you are back! You were my very first you tube subscription. I am big on doing pallet wood projects and your videos are very inspirational for me. My wife and I are into the rustic look, but I get a real kick out of taking wood from a pallet and making it into something that people can't believe came from a dirty old pallet. Keep then videos coming.

I'm thoroughly impressed Sir BeachBum, I will definitely do something to my cheap Wal-Mart dresser. It isn't going to be as extravagant as yours which looks like it took quite a bit of time but something with pallet wood. Awesome video!!!
VitaminD15 Thanks!! Cool, yeah you could do one of the other ideas I showed which would have been a lot quicker!
Awesome!! I'm super excited to see more vids.
Greetings from England, I feel a surge of motivation to make this, it looks so cool! Thanks for all the vids dude.

Just subscribed,great looking dresser
cejkwo Mass Thank you for watching and the sub!!
Wow Just lovin it!!
Awesome.What a good idear!
You should leave the natural color, put a clear coat to shine it up and little and put some brushed stainless hardware to really make it stand out. I think the hardware is the finishing touch it needs. Pretty cool looking dresser either way.
mate that just so awesome nice job there
Fantastic.
Stinking sweet, man.
Awesome! Curious about handle solution.
Cool cool doggpound!!
Nice project ... looks as if you've incorporated a way to get some electricity in your storage work shop for your tools.
God's Blessings,

The Wagner Flexio 570 is great paint gun for projects like this if you want to do intricate painting with minimal taping. Use the finishing attachment and it works awesome.
Printertrouble Good to know, thanks for the info!
Awesomesauce.
Jay Bates 2 Thanks brosef!!!
I'm a new subscriber, I found you through Jay Bates making mention of your site. Funny thing is I hit subscribe before I realized you had not been posting in about a year but left it alone. Much to my happy surprise you popped back up. Welcome back and I am looking forward to watching your really creative idea's.
Chris Prais Thanks Chris, I appreciate you coming on over!!
If I were you, I would have just gotten something older and better quality at a thrift store or craigslist for the project. But I do like your idea!
Now that is an original project.........Good job....total hours????
James Pugh Thank you!! It's hard to ever tell when filming. That takes up a lot of the time, setting cameras up.
Amazing, I love it! How will you open the drawers, will you put handles?
muy bueno el ttrabajo
my favorite youtuber is back!
Gee Dubb Can I get a whoop whoop! Thanks for sticking around!
Whoop-Whop! YEE HAW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
***** Never give up!
Dude that's really awesome. Kinda funny you did it in a storage unit. Is there a story behind that??
MIke78015 Thanks! Yeah, just moved and it's my temporary workshop for now.
I like your artistry as much as your woodworking! Glad you're back! Thanks!
BTW, is that the harbor freight 9 inch band saw? I'm in the market for a bandsaw and was wondering what u had and how u like it.
Jeff Correia Thank you!! Yeah it's the 9 inch one. This was my first project with it and I did a whole lot of cutting and it seems to work great!
How are you accounting for expansion and contraction of the wood top? Excellent idea, by the way.
do you like cats? it would be cool to see you design a nice looking practical cat tree out of pallets.. :)
AdjaninClara That might be a cool idea
Wow...That is beautiful...How many hours did it take you to do this...It's mad creative!!!
lennysvibe Thanks! It's always hard to tell the actual hours on a video project. There's so much stopping and starting to set up the video camera that it adds a lot of time to the project. Thank you for watching!!
Do u think that particle board is stable with all the extra weight on it with the wood? Awesome project. Love the look.
MrPanthers23 Seems good so far but we'll see over time. Thank you for watching.
Glad your back missed your vids .. How is that airless nail gun I want to get one but not sure if it we'll go threw hard pallet wood
James smith Thank you James. This is the first thing I've used it on and it seems to work great. I'm very happy with it.
Ombre/graduated color? It's beautiful-I would buy it! Just subscribed and will share!
Judith McKay Ha, that's what I had decided on! How'd you know? :)
Because we both have EXCELLENT taste! Can't wait to see it-what color range? blue-aquas misty sea colors?
The project looks great! However building over particle boards is building on a crappy foundation. Still the end looks great!
Got a question about the wood you sliced. I often read pallet wood would be just good from EURO pallets or pallet which was handled with heat and not with chemicals. Nearly all imported pallets from Asia are going to be burned after theyunpacked. EURO pallets will always be traded and one piece costs between 30-50€.
So are all these pallets usefull without any doubt of chemical within the wood? i don't know what kinda wood you guys have there. I saw one of your older videos which you just drive around and look for old wood in a backyard of a shop.
Looks too simple to me :D
This is not "pretty cool" ... This is super awesome mega great maxi cooool! Congratulations!
norm1124 Thank you very much!!
Was wondering what's the name of the background beat you've got on this video?
This is awesome but I have none of these tools😑
How do you get that pallet wood separated from its frame? They are so hard (for me) to get off. Do you have tricks or tools you use?
***** I kind of go over what I do in this video czcams.com/video/gGnUaY9zq4M/video.html But yeah. they're pretty much always a pain.
***** That is so helpful and thank you so much.
