Ik right lmaoo use some super epensive knives now highly doubt any one would do this shit to extremly expensive stuff not hating just kinda curiose why everyone says Ma'carbon blade is better but your money where your mouth is 40$ kukri vs 200 + kukri
For urban survival, yes definitely. Also for cave ins. Honestly, a good hatchet with a flat back would be a better option, but I test the knives to their limits. Thanks for watching :) Mayor Fuglycool
+dirtrider169 Well, if you notice the Amazon price of the SOG Jungle Warrior, it used to be around 60$ . . . Now it has dropped a little down to 47 $ . . . To be honest this SOG did impress me, but I still would not carry it if I had a choice between this and a Cold Steel machete. When I did pull ups on this blade, I was wondering if it was going to snap. . . I added in the flexing of the blade close up to show how much force goes into doing this . . . Thank GOD that it didn't snap into pieces. Mayor Fuglycool
Re: If I had a choice between this and a Cold Steel machete. (Would choose Cold Steel one.) Q: Which MODEL(s), what PRICE RANGE one(s) are you referring to?
I absolutely LOVE your videos. I always stop by to see if you've reviewed a knife I am thinking about purchasing or maybe already own. You put those tools through hell so I know what my next purchase can do/stand up too. Please keep these videos coming. PS It's been discontinued and hard to find luckily I happen to own one but if you ever come across a Sog Force, I would love to see that put through the paces. I have very little doubt it would do nothing but ASTOUND you. Thanks, stay safe and keep those videos coming.
I cant tell if you are being serious when you say the "finest steel china has to offer." Catching up on all of your reviews! Looking for new stuff, Its really nice to see you abuse the hell out of these things! Thank you.
CCR13 Steel is the lowest end steel. But everyone is using it on knives from China. Go figure 🤔? Next time I get into a duel with a log? I want this Kukri.
I'm impressed and disappointed at the same time lol! I expected you to destroy this thing in about 3 minutes.. I had my popcorn out and everything, just waiting for it to break..
Mayor Fuglycool Item failing or not.. Testing of a SECOND unit, say several months down the road is really needed. (Second units being from a DIFFERENT BATCH.)
You should really learn how to use a kukri it was bouncing off because of the angle and you were using the end of the blade use the inside curve put the front weight past what you are trying to cut it will work much better and you can make smaller tinder by using it as a draw knife or pushing down
Like your vids. Have a easily implemented SUGGESTION. Please: In the TITLE of the video, in the video itself, and CZcams description state the MODEL +REV NUMBER if any of the items you are testing and put the YEAR /MONTH item was PURCHASED / MANUFACTURED. Example: SOG SOGfari Kukri Machete MC11-N, DESTRUCTION 2015-09 .. . By Mayor Fuglycool (Conveying such info in vid could be done by writing info on a piece of cardboard /showing the box item came in?) Such helps people to hunt for exact item / helps those who may be searching for info on a exact item and is important as xyz product purchased several years ago, but being called be same name may NOT be made to the same standards. Revision numbers helpful in same respects. The SAME info helps in putting to SHAME sub-standard / el-crap-ola products.
Re: Mayor Fuglycool said: "The Cold Steel Kukri's work very well, they are extremely tough as well :)" Q: Which MODEL(s), what PRICE RANGE one(s) are you referring to?
Had one but sold it to a friend who thought it was super cool. I chipped the blade a few times and the sheath was a conundrum in itself. Button, zipper AND velcro flap, lol. I did like the handle though. If I where to buy another kukri, I would want a different brand.
Mayor...that freaking propane cylinder is rounded, vs the flatter 59 caliber ammo can, making it WAY more resistant to penetration than its counterpart. Think of the old French Musketeers chest plate, shields etc. I was astounded that this knife didnt fracture. The saw teeth made chipping at stone quicker I think too. It would be hard to use it for splitting stove wood, AKA knifebeating, but regular batoning for shakewood is problematic as well, due to the sawback...overall an interesting tool that I may pick up. Please consider a few Cold Steel versions, such as the Heavy and Khukuri machetes for future reviews...those are BADDASS beater tools sir!
The larger mass of steel is usually the area with the most defects in the material. Stress cracks will show quickly, because a lot of energy is being transferred from the blade to the block, and vice versa. Thanks for watching friend ! Mayor Fuglycool
+dredank I am really trying to get some funds for more knives. At the moment, I am working on a gun review, but will try to get on the knives as soon as I get a chance. Thanks :) Mayor Fuglycool
+Joshua DeMArco Thanks for watching brother, I will try to branch out to folders soon. . . But I don't expect them to stand up to the same types of testing. I have to formulate a different test . Been working on some firearm videos lately, but I will get back on the knife track soon. Mayor Fuglycool
I love your channel. "Backyard Science" is the best way to put it in layman's terms that's relevant to everyone. I bought this product based solely on your video and I'm proud to say it lived up to your opinion. For an economy item, this kind of quality is fantastic. On a last note, if I could pick a knife for you to test (or send it if I had one :/) it would be the OKC3S Marine Corps Bayonet. Maybe someday. Until then I'll happily watch you break knives :)
+Gilly Monster Ah yes, the OKC3S bayo. I want to do that review soon in the future, and I do appreciate the views and subscription. . . Remember, I test this stuff so you don't have to ! :) Thanks again for the support friend ! Mayor Fuglycool
Not an attack move by any means, just a handling portion of the test. I like to feel the blade in my hands, that all really. Thanks for watching ! :) Mayor Fuglycool
+詹皓翔 I will see if I can get a hold of one . Lately I have been saving my money for the Texas Firearms Festival , so I might be able to get to that blade around next year. Thanks for watching, and stay tuned :) Mayor Fuglycool
>Smashes kukri on brick with the teeth

MUST BE CHINESE STEEL
I always need to chop bricks with my knives. The work you do is much appreciated.

I got a Kukri that was made in Nepal out of a leaf spring off a truck that would chop this SOGfukri in half.. Cost me $50
What brand Kukri from Nepal? There are too many knife companies in Neplal.
Wow. I'm impressed with the brick chopping. I could see a situation (for example the need to escape) where the ability to chop brick would be good.
For urban survival, yes definitely. Also for cave ins.

@@MayorFuglycools Oh, yes. A hatchet would be better. I was just impressed with the knife here
I bet knife companies fear you bro

True dat! I don't think...I KNOW they do. But it's also free R and D for the most part. They don't have to PAY HIM TO DO IT...just watch the videos!

Best test ever 👍👍 salut from east Schwitzerland 😎✌
Ey norther swiss dude right here also same opinion 🤙🤟
i CHIPPED my blade on just a pine tree so i am not impressed by this knife
I chipped my blade by a spruce.... A christmas tree
Mine too had a chunk took out the edge chopping a small tree
After the test, im impressed by how the machete faired out. I know what happens to knife steel when it gets abused. And it held up great.

LOL my exact thoughts I was just waiting for the kukri to break when he was doing the pull ups LOL
I am amazed that it held together, some things have surprised me over time ;)

Nice group of tests. Looks like it's pretty durable if it survived those. Price is not bad either.

Would this be an effective weapon during an zombie apocalypse?
Why did my blade bend and break ???
Like always great video.like u I was sure it was going to snap in to peaces.

yeah. its bit too much play for me but a good machete all around.
Why would you destroy a machete made for wood not brick seriously dulls blade duhhh I would never smack my blades or even kabar against brick
God those attack moves are cringey.... Shit like this makes me feel lame for likeing knives

a knife vs a brick. not a good test. nobody will attack a brick with a knife
Remember, I'm nobody. LOL
