- My brother Robert retired three years ago and moved to Thailand to live full-time. Fortunately, he usually comes home, to the U.S., for the holidays, each year. And when he does, he stocks up on items that he can't buy in Thailand, or that are much cheaper to buy here. In this video, he unboxes and shares some of those items and savings.

You could tell Robert what my brother in law (who is also on blood thinners) does for small cuts and nicks, he uses Vaseline. It helps him a lot. Just apply it and leave it on for about 5 minutes. A nurse told him this long ago.
What I am gathering from Robert is that it is cheap to live in Thailand, but yet many products are expensive that are not manufactured there.
I really enjoy seeing Robert, he has such a nice demeanor. I could sit with him for hours and talk.
Hi Stacy, Robert loves to read the comments so thank you for sharing this tip with him. I’ve never heard of that but that makes total sense that Vaseline would contain the bleeding. And yes, he’s very easy to talk to. We spent hours and hours talking when he was here. I guess we just come from a big family of talkers. 😄👍

Palm springs really looks like a great spot. When we visited the US from australia back in 2014 it didnt occur to us to go to palm springs but i certainly wish we had. My brother also lived in thailand for a time but returned to australia to help look after mum but he still keeps his apartment there and goes back for holidays😊

I have no idea why but I love it when Robert comes home to see you. I can understand why he buys things here and brings them home with him.

I no longer fly, but if I did I would definitely visit him. I don’t know if I could take the humidity in Thailand though. 😩
My friend was a bartender at Hobby airport, back in the 1980s. I would sit with her & watch planes. They would never allow that now, Lol. My old boss owned a newsstand at Bush airport. He made a million dollars a year on 5$ water & soda. He called people suckers. 😳
I’ve only had to pay five dollars for a bottle of water a few times when I was desperate and there were no other options. People like your old boss definitely take advantage of situations like that. They used to make me so mad knowing that the bottled water only cost about five cents to make! 😲

Hi William, that’s an interesting question. I had five younger brothers and I got along with all of them equally. Sadly two of them are no longer with us and one of them chose to distance himself from the rest of the family years ago and we haven’t seen him since. I guess every family has its own dynamics to deal with. 🙃

I love vacations in Thailand it’s close to Australia so only about a 10 hour flight . Glad your brother is happy living there they are beautiful people

Does your brother have any interest in vlogging? He has a lot of interesting things to share, such as life in thailand, how he was able to retire early, vitamins and supplements, etc.
Don't knock Thai massage til you try it! I used to get trigger point massages which are very similar. Yes, it can be very painful in the moment, but I'd wake up the next morning feeling like I traded in my body for a new one! I'm sure they ham up their expressions for tv, and I'd let the therapist know if its getting to be too much and he'd either back off or work on an adjacent area before attacking the extratight spot again.
Hi Corey, when my brother first moved to Thailand three years ago he started a CZcams channel and it was awesome. Unfortunately, he just couldn’t deal with all the negativity from the trolls and finally just deleted the channel. You have to have a very thick skin to have a CZcams channel with all the haters, trolls and scammers out there! 😩
When my husband was married to his first wife he was stationed in Thailand. Spent 4 months there.
I hope he liked it as much as Robert does 👍

My son came in on the Sunday before Thanksgiving. I thought we would just hang out at the curb at the exit. The poluce was there in 1 minute to shoo us away. So, we started doing laps....and laps...amd laps. I had boasted how awesome and fast the airport was....and it took them like an hour after landing to get bags out. Ha...the locals knew better; they were out at the cell phone lot. I would estimate 75 or 100 cars out there with people waiting in them.
It’s just seems so weird to not be able to park in the parking lot since I’ve always done it before. I guess we all learned and next time I will definitely just go straight to the cell phone lot. 👍
Awesome video. It was great hanging out with you and your brother. My daughter goes though a lot of saline solution for her respiratory issues too so finding a cheap and reliable products is a must for her .

Our cousin is co7nting down the days until he moves to Thailand. He’s got about 4 years of working in the US left. I hate the politics in Texas, but I would move to California in a minute.
Hopefully your cousin will love Tyler as much as my brother does. I couldn’t take the humidity, but other than that it seems pretty ideal in a lot of ways. Especially the affordability. California is the opposite of that when it comes to affordability, but I’ve always loved it here and can’t think of a better place to retire. California taxes are definitely on opposite ends of the spectrum aren’t they? 😲

You can buy a brand new 4 door toyoty truck in thailand for $20k because toyota has a manufacturer plant there. Comes with 5 oil changes and a 360 degree camera on the roof that records everything happening around you, it turns on whenever you turn the truck on.

He used to have his own channel in Thailand, but he just couldn’t deal with all of the trolls and nasty comments on a daily basis. I know lots of other CZcamsrs like him they gave up their channels because of all of the negativity from viewers. Pretty sad. 🙁

We just flew back home, to Knoxville Tennessee. We flew out of Palm Springs, and I dare say out of all the airports that I have been to, Palm Springs is one of the most beautiful airports! We fly in and out of our smaller airport, out of Knoxville, and it has a very similar vibe. I just enjoy your videos so much! If you are on blood thinners and can’t stop bleeding, corn starch powder on it should help it to stop or Vaseline on it

I was told because I'm on blood thinners, that I should absolutely not take ibuprofen, because it thins the blood. I have Afib too, and I would like to go live in Thailand, but I'm worried about the cost of my medicines over there. I know here, my Eliquis about $600 a month without insurance.
The next time he is here I will ask Robert about the cost of prescriptions over there. I think you mentioned it once but I can’t member inside if it was higher or lower there.
Now as I recall you telling me before that there were five of you. You’re the oldest, you have a brother you don’t talk too one brother who passed away and then Robert and your baby brother who lives up North with Raberta. Where does Robert fall in line?

Hey Roberto, I thought you looked great. Maybe it looked that way to you because you were sitting down with a flowy shirt. Camera angles can definitely make a big difference in how we look on camera. I really liked that suggestion to use Vaseline to stop the bleeding. That makes a lot of sense but I never would’ve thought of that. He was here for a little over a week. Sadly it took him nearly that long just to get here and back home! 🤪

Why notThailand? 🤣 Honestly, I lived in Hawai'i for many years for work. I would have loved to retire there but it is just too expensive. Thailand reminds me very much of Hawai'i but it is affordable. And has nice people and great food. And no politics! At least none that have anything to do with me. So just about perfect.
