Geez man, you got me “hooked”
Haha that’s good right? Making jigs is legit!
Very nice. Just made a few myself, but the hybrid grass jig keeps me coming back! 😎
That’s a very good jig as well! I have that mold also, and plan to make a video with it soon!
Have used the army, good jig
Yes it is!
What's the advantage of using the 2 part epoxy over gel super glue on the weed guards?
I think 2 part epoxy holds better over time and dries more clear.
I do not use arky head jigs much except in very small sizes like 1/8 (donut has a nice 1/8 arky head.
I primarily use Football and Ball head jigs. , the Ball is my go to finesse jig with a Baby Guido bug as a trailer.
If you’re around any wood or brush an arky comes through much better than a football head! I’ve haven’t tried a weedless ball head in wood though.
Do you have to modify your mold to use the 614 hook? I use the mustad hook that it recommends. But would like to switch to the 614 or possibly a stouter hook if you could recommend one?? Thanks love the vids
No modification is needed for the gamakatsu. I don’t have a recommendation for another hook. The 614 is a good hook
Thanks for watching
Did you make a horizontal and vertical line tie with the same mold?
No i didn’t, there may be a mold that will do that. I’m not 100% sure about that tho. You could easily modify the mold to do that though.
I've been looking at Do-It Molds for a while now but realized they do not have a round grass jig head besides swim jigs. Any help on what jig head works best for grassy lakes?
The Sparkie head, and arky head, hybrid grass jig are all good options for grass.
Hey, what’s size are you mainly using? 3/8 or 1/2 and or a combination of both? Thanks
Just depends on depth. Probably 1/2 most of the time and then go down to 3/8 if i dial in something shallow.
Would you say this is the best all around mold for jigs if you are starting off with just 1 mold?
That’s a tough one to answer. For me to make the best suggestion, let me know what type of cover you are normally fishing? Grass, rock, brush, trees, etc?
Do you clean the base hole pin after the paint gets on them? If so how do you get it off?
Yes i do. I use acetone. Comes off pretty easy.
@@MattLunaFishing ok. Cool.
