    I love your reviews. Straightforward and pretty detailed. I own an entry level gravel bike, and plan to. upgrade to an endurance geometry. I have shortlisted the giant Defy Advanced 2 and the TREK Domane SL5. I was also inclined a bit towards SCOTT Addict 10 Disc. Could you please suggest me the right choice. I

      Thanks. Personally, I would go with Giant Defy first. If not available, then go with Trek Domane.

    Really wonder how it will be on climbs. I have a Xelius SL 2019 and wonder Defy will be easier to climb. Thinking to get this as appealing for more comfort but also want some speed too so the TCR is in the option too

      If you want the ultimate climbing machine, then go Giant TCR.

    Hey men, thanks a lot for the review, it helped me decide and I just bought this bike today over the Trek Emonda SL5 DISC 2022 because price difference where I live is 600$. I was wondering do you know what is the max speed in a straight road for this bike, is it fast for straight roads? Thanks in advance.

    • @CyclingInsider
      @CyclingInsider  Před 2 lety +1

      A great bike you bought. You can easily do 40 km/h on a straight road.

    I love this video of yours. If you were to compare GIANT Defy Advanced 2 and TREK Domane SL 5, in your opinion, which one is more comfortable and offer more smoothness on rough road surfaces (not gravel). Price-wise, they are about $300 difference. Which one would you buy, and why? Thank you. Looking forward to your next video.

      @CyclingInsider  Před 2 lety +2

      Personally, I would buy Giant Defy. But I have to admit that Trek Domane is the most comfortable endurance bike.

    Hey man, love your work! Have a question here: If I want the most mileage going at reasonable speeds out of myself and don't care much about comfort while having a max 2700€ kinda price limit, which bike should I get? I will do some climbing here and there but I'll mainly go on a level road. This bike caught my eye but I'm also eyeing the Giant TCR Disc 2 Pro Compact. Giant in general seems more of a bang for buck but I don't really have a brand of choice. Thanks in advance 😁!

      Have a look at Giant, Merida and Canyon bikes in your price range. There are few good choices.

      @@CyclingInsider Thanks for brand recommendations. Can you also give specific model recommendations that came to your mind reading the description I gave? I live in Turkey and due to the economic situation here, I wasn't interested in and therefore don't have any knowledge of bikes with +700€ price tags. Thanks again 😁

      @@sinanaydn7907 I don't know prices of these bikes in Turkey. So just check all of them and buy the cheapest one in your budget of 2700 Euros.

    Dear Sir, today F/X situation is Turkey is: 1 EUR = 16.38 TL. The Giant Defy Advanced 2 (2022 model) costs 42.892,74 TL, that means ca. EUR 2618. An equivalent Carraro bike with the Ultegra set is €500 is cheaper than this one.

    I have This bike in model year 2021.
    Positives: it’s very comfortable, the 105 stuff is pretty good, the geometry works for me.
    Negatives: the PF BB creaks a lot, the non-series cranks are pretty clunky.
    All round, not a bad bike. I couldn’t help myself and updated with carbon bars. Every bit of carbon that you can put between the road and your hands reduces road vibration tremendously. Coming off of an old tarmac pro with Red, and other bikes I’ve owned with Ultegra, DA, or Chorus, The bike felt like a bit of a letdown. But I’ve gotten over that and I’m enjoying it more and more all the time.

    • @CyclingInsider
      @CyclingInsider  Před 2 lety

      Thanks for detailed reply. I am surprised with the creaking BB. Giant usually doesn't have these problems.
